Usagi and Mamoru Saga: Operation Rose- Part 3 by Sailor Em AN: peoplez! give me some feedback! please! okay. that's all. oh...i noticed that i REALLY screwed up all the names and mixed them up with the japanese, so from now on i will use the japanese names. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Usagi! Wait up, will ya?" Mamoru yelled to the girl walking down the street. "Hi Mamoru! So..do you need help with your girl?" 'You bet I do! I'm talking to her right now, and I am still nervous!' "Uh...yeah." Usagi grinned. 'Maybe I can make him like me more and win his heart before he leaves for America.' "So, want do you need help on?" "As you know, I'm going to America soon. So....I want to know if she likes me or not. So I'm going to do a bunch of stuff for her and try to win her heart." "Okay...so what do you want to do in particular?" "I want to ask her to dinner at the Pavillion." "Wow! THE Pavillion? Only known as the hottest, most romantic restaurant in Tokyo?" "Yup. That one." he laughed. "I almost want to be that girl you're chasing! Wow. The Pavillion." Usagi was astounded. "YES. Now get over it! What do girls usually like on dates?" "Uh...the usual. Flowers, sweetness from the guys....kisses..." Usagi began to daydream. Mamoru almost laughed. Boy! Was this girl spacing out! "Uh..Usagi? I don't even know if she likes me or not, and you expect me to kiss her?" "Whoops. Sorry. Well, just be kind, and try to look your handsomest. That will DEFINETELY sweep her off her feet into Romance Land." "Okay! Thanks! I think I'm going to ask her to dinner tomorrow night.... sweep her off her feet, like you said, and kiss her." "Uh Mamoru, don't be too aggressive. She might get intimidated." "yeah. Thanks!" He swung her around, laughing. Then he froze. What the hell was he doing? He put Usagi down and she looked at him strangely. "Uh....Mamoru..what was that?" "Sorry, sorry." he blushed. "I got so caught up in my feelings for that girl that I had to let them out somehow. Sorry." "It's okay." Usagi walked down the street. She could still feel his soft, protecting hands encircling her. 'ahh...' she sighed. 'if only he meant that for me.' Mamoru jogged down the street to his apartment, and Usagi felt a pang of jealousy. Who was this spectacular girl that stole Mamo-chan's heart away from her? She wanted to maul her to bits. The next day, Usagi receieved a big package in the mail. "Sweetie! You got a package from an admirer!" "What?!" she shrieked, and ran down the stairs. "Here. There was one rose sitting on the doorstep, and this box. Look for yourself. Make sure your father doesn't see. He'll have a fit." Usagi opened the box, and there sat 24 beautiful red roses. "Ohmigod!" She whispered. She took up the card and looked at it. "meet me at the Pavillion at 6:30 tonight. love, your admirer." she swooned at the thought of an admirer. It definetely wasn't Mamoru, because it wasn't his writing. It seemed more like Jack's writing. 'Hmm....Jack is the most popular guy at school. Does he like me?' Usagi turned to face her mom. "Mom...can I go?" Her mom was about to say no, but she remembered the days when boys were chasing HER. And besides, the young man who had personally delivered the flowers seemed very kind and handsome. He seemed like the boy that Usagi had described that had terrorized her, and she had a hunch that the young man wasn't as bad as she thought. "Sure, darling." "Really?" Usagi asked incredulously. "Yup, dear. Just be careful ." "Thanks mom!" she ran out the door to tell Ami and Rei the news. Rei would be SOOOO jealous! "Hey Rei!" Usagi shouted at the door of the temple. "SHUT UP Odango Atama!" Rei screamed. "Do you want to wake up the dead?" "Sorry. But I got great news!" "What? You finally got a C on a test?" "NOOOO.......Rei!! You're so mean." Usagi grumped, then cheered up. "You're NEVER gonna believe this!" Rei groaned. "Then tell me already, Odango!" Usagi ignored her. "A secret admirer left me roses and a card and told me to meet him at the Pavillion!!" "THE Pavillion?!" "YEAH!" They both squealed in excitement. "AAHHHH!!!" "Ooohhh!!" said Rei. "Make sure you look your best. Sweep him off hiss feet. Be charming and seductive. Remember that you are Sailor Moon, the Champion of Love and Justice!" Usagi laughed. Rei was getting more excited than she was! "Soo....Usagi-chan...what are you going to wear?" "I don't know. " "What? You don't know? Oh..you can borrow something of mine!" Usagi grinned. She was hoping Rei would offer. "Oh, Rei-chan, can I borrow that red spaghetti strap dress?" "Sure! It would look great on you with your white heels." "Arigato! I'm so excited! Who can it be?" "I dunno. Did you bring the card with you?" "yeah. take a look, will ya?" Rei looked at the card and scrutinized it. "Hmmm...I don't know. But I have a hunch about who it is." "Who?" "Chiba Mamoru." "Augh!" Usagi shrieked. 'I wish it were him! But yeah right. He's in love with this other chick.' "How can it be him, Rei? He hates me!" "Exactly. He does it to hide his feelings." "Yeah right! No more about him!" 'Oh, this will be great. When I go to the Pavillion, I can spy on Darien and that lovely girl of his and see what she has that I don't have!' "Can I do a fire reading?" "Sure. As long as you don't toast the card." They went to the fire room and Rei sat in front of the fire, meditating. "Great fire..please show us who is Tuskino Usagi's secret admirer." Suddenly the blaze showed a head. Motoki's head. "Usagi-chan! It's Motoki!" "Motoki Furuhata?" "yup!" "But i thought he had a girlfriend....." "Hey! Who knows?" "I guess you're right....hmmm...how exciting!" "Girl, you go get ready now!" "But, Rei, it's only 2. I have 3 and a half hours." "BAKA! You mean FOUR and a half hours!" "Rei! Don't call me that!" Usagi wailed. "Sorry, sorry. I am just so excited for you! I'm going to tell all the scouts about it! Can you make a sleepover tomorrow night? That way, you can spill the gossip." "Hm..do you guys deserve to know?" "USAGI-CHAN!" She laughed. "Okay, okay. gomen. I'll come." Rei ran to her room and grabbed her beautiful silk dress. "here." she stuffed the dress to Usagi. "Take it and get ready!" "Thanks Rei! You really are my best friend." Usagi gave Rei a tight hug. "Yeah, yeah." Rei said gruffly, smiling. "Bye Odango!" She waved to Usagi as she went down the steps of the temple. Usagi trotted down Sendai Hill, singing cheerfully to herself. As she turned the corner....WHAM! Usagi automatically got into a bowing position and began muttering her apologies. "Uh...gomen. Gomen nasai. Gomen nasai. Gomen Gomen gomen gomen. Dajoubou? " Suddenly a deep voice she recognized laughed. "Usagi, get up. I'm okay. Really. Don't worry so much! I truly am touched about your concern for me." She blushed bright red and jumped up. "Oh. it's only YOU, Mamoru-san." "Hey hey hey! If you're not careful, you might get fired!" "Okay. Guess what!" Mamoru played along. "What, Odango?" "I'm going to the Pavillion too! Some guy asked me there for dinner tonight, so I can spy on you and your gorgeous girl!" Mamoru got sort of nervous looking. "Uh..Usagi..I don't think you should watch me and my girl make out." "Hah!" Usagi snorted. "I doubt you can even get her to look you in the eye, due to your stinky flirting techniques." Mamoru rolled his eyes. "Then please enlighten me, oh flirtatious one." She grinned. "First, give her the puppy dog look when you first meet her. Like, say, 'Oh, Dear, I am SO happy you met me here!' and give her a cute pathetic doggy look. She'll melt on the spot. Then flash her a really nice smile and say how beautiful she looks. That is a total winner. Pull her chair for her and be all hospitable and everything. I ALWAYS fall for that. Just be nice and sweet like the whole world revolves around her. And that is the Basics of Flirting 101." She sighed, satisfied with herself. He burst out laughing. "Is that what you always do to Motoki?" "No!" she yelled indignantly. "I like someone else. NOT Motoki. I don't go for people that are way above me." "Like me." he grinned, inwardly sad. 'Does she think of me as above her?' She snorted. "Actually, you are way below me." She pointed her fingers downward to the ground. "Thanks, Odango Atama." He grinned. 'that means i'm on her level!' "Oh, and another thing. Don't insult her the first thing when she walks through the door. The first time I met you, you just called me Odango Atama." "Yeah, I remember. I was in the hospital and you walked in and I said your hair looked like a pair of meatballs." "Especially when I came to cheer you up! You insulted me." He laughed. "We've gotten far, huh, Usagi-chan?" She was startled. That was the first time he called her Usagi-chan, and it sounded way better than Usagi by itself or Odango Atama. "uh...yeah." "Well, I need to go now. Gotta get ready for the Big Night, you know." he said sarcastically. He patted her shoulder. "See ya, Odango." He left a stunned Usagi standing on the middle of the street. He hadn't even insulted her today, other than his customary nickname for her. Wow. He must really be stoked about the date. She frowned and began to contemplate. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ hihi everyone! TEll me what you think! I know this is sort of short, but i'm going to write about the date next chapter. tell me all your thoughts!cya! ~sailor em(sailorgalaxia1@yahoo.com
