“Always and Forever” Chapter One

 Hello peoples, I hope the wait wasn’t THAT long. Well, I’m not one to babble 
on that much so, here goes nothing....

Chapter One
                   
                  :::Andrew’s P.O.V.:::
 I saw Mina, Lita, and Raye enter the arcade, they all walked over to me with 
mischieveous smiles on their teenage faces, “Hi girls, what’s up?” I said 
cheerily.
   “Oh nothing, only that we just saw Serena and Darien at the park sitting 
next to eachother, sharing a nice quiet and might I say romantic evening.” 
Raye said, acting like it was nothing.
   “Yeah, they looked kind of close, if you know what I mean.” Lita added.
   “Hmm, I just sent Darien down there to apologize to Serena for a comment 
he said about her earlier.”
   “Yeah, that’s what he said.” Raye said.
   “What’d he say, anyway?” Mina asked a little curious.
   “Serena came into the arcade right after school...” 
   “...And so I sent him to the park to apologize.”
   “Oh. Well, what we came here for really is to ask for your help.” Mina 
said with a look in her eye that I’ve never seen.    
   “Oh?” I asked curiously.
   “Yeah, you see we wanna get those two together, I think it’s obvious that 
Serena likes Darien. I asked her about it and she just denied it.” Lita said.
   “I asked Darien the same question, he said he didn’t like her. But I know 
he does cuz he gets these funny looking googly eyes when she’s around.” I 
said, hoping they had a plan, because really if you look at Darien and 
Serena, they make a cute couple, they were practically made for each other. 
Now, if only we could get them to see that.
   “Well, it looks like we’ve got a case of un-known crushes on our hands, 
eh?” Mina said.
   “Guess so, but do you girls have any kind of plan to get them to see that 
they actually like eachother?”
   “There’s a back to school dance going on this weekend, we’ve gotta get 
Darien to ask Serena to the dance.” Raye.
   “O.K. see here’s the problem with that, Serena got asked by Christian and 
she said yes.” Lita said disappointedly.
   “Well, we’ll just have to fix that now won’t we?” I asked with a sneaky 
smile.
                 
                 :::Darien’s P.O.V.:::
 I walked to the arcade to talk to Andrew for a while, I stepped through the 
automatic doors and saw Andrew talking to Raye, Mina, and Lita. “Hey Dare.” 
Andrew called out.
   “Hi Andy, hey girls.”
   “Hi Darien.” The three girls chimed in unison.
 I smiled and sat down at the counter, “So, what are you guys talking about?”
   “Oh...um, nothing, nothing at all.” Raye said, laughing nervously.
 I looked at her strangely, she saw this and looked at her wrist like there 
was a watch there, which I might say that there wasn’t, “Oh look at the time, 
I’ve gotta get back to the temple, bye guys!” She said and ran out the door 
as fast as a speeding bullet. I held back a laugh and looked at Andrew, 
hoping he could tell me what was going on, he just shrugged. Mina went to 
play the Sailor V video game, and Lita stayed with me and Andrew, we talked 
about what must have happened at Serena’s grandparent’s house for her to 
actually act normal. 
 Andrew looked up and smiled at someone behind me, I turned around and saw 
Serena walking over to us, “Hi people.” She said angrily.
   “Woah Sere, you look like you’re out to kill, what’s wrong girl?” Lita 
asked scooting over to the next stool so Serena was sitting between me and 
her.
   “Oh nothing, except for the only reason Christian asked me to the dance is 
because he wanted something to happen *after* the dance, if you know what I 
mean.” She said, eyes blazing blue fire.
   “I’m gonna pound that @$$hole. When I get my hands on him...” Lita said 
balling her hands into fists.
   “Be my guest.” Serena replied.
   “Hey, I’m sorry to hear that Sere, anything we can do to help?” Andy asked.
   “Well, unless you can wipe the guy off the face of the earth I don’t think 
you’ll be much help.”
   “I believe you and all Sere, but who told you this?” Lita.
   “No one told me, I heard him talking about it to his scumbag friends at 
the park.”
   “Oh.”
 Just then a guy walked up behind Serena and put his arms around her waist, 
“Hi Serena,” 
 Serena’s eyes were turning to a blood red, “Don’t touch me.” 
   “What’s wrong Sere?”
   “And don’t call me that.”
   “Woah, what’s up?”
   “Oh nothing, just nothing at all.”
 I was furious, ‘Who does this dork think he is?! Putting his hands all over 
her like that!! Why I oughta...’ ‘Wait a minute Dare, why are you so mad all 
of a sudden? Are you actually jealous of this wimp?’ ‘Nah, must have eaten 
some bad food or something’
   “O.K. well if that’s the case, you wanna go to the park?”
   “Let’s not and say we did.”
   “Serena what’s your problem?”
   “Could you be any more stupid? You wanna know what my problem is?” Serena 
said, turning around, she stood up and started walking. With every step she 
took forward, he took a step backwards. 
   “My problem is you, you are the living scum of the earth you know that?”
   “Serena, what did I do?”
 Serena laughed a little, “Did you think I wouldn’t find out? Did you 
actually think you could fool me? I tell you what, you go to the dance with 
Brittani, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind sleeping with you after the dance.” 
Serena said as she stopped walking.
   “Oh, where did you hear something like that?” The guy asked nervously, I 
figured he was Christian.
   “I heard it from the little green people in my closet,” She said 
sarcastically. “I heard it from you, at the park with all friends.”
   “Serena I...”
   “You.. are leaving, buh-bye.” She said as she pushed him out the door and 
onto the sidewalk. Someone in the arcade started clapping and soon the whole 
arcade was cheering, Serena blushed and walked back over to us, “Wow Serena, 
I didn’t know you had it in you.” Lita said amazed.
   “You better believe it.” Serena said.
 
                     :::Serena’s P.O.V.:::
   “You better believe it.” I said smiling, they laughed.
   “So Serena what are you gonna do for the dance now?” Lita asked.
   “I dunno...” I shrugged. “I’m probably not gonna go.”
   “But Sere, practically every guy in school has asked you or wants to ask 
you, what’s the deal?”
   “I don’t know, it’s just that, well, the guys at our school are dorks.”
   “Oh, yeah, I gottcha. If someone that didn’t go to our school asked you, 
would you go?”
 I thought for a sec. “Yeah, probably.” ‘Especially if that someone happened 
to be Darien, I’d love to go to the dance with him, he’s *so* fine and he’s a 
college guy, I could live with it’ I thought and I felt myself blushing, I 
looked down at the counter and smiled.
   “What?” Andrew asked giving me a curious look.
   “Nothing.” ‘I wonder if Darien would ask me, does he even like me?’ 
‘Serena, dont’ start, what would an intelligent, cute college guy want with a 
seventeen year old school girl, get real’ ‘Yeah, I guess you’re right, I bet 
he’s probably got plans that day anyway, he probably has a date with a some 
smart, pretty sophisticated girl, practically the opposite of me.’ For some 
reason the thought of Darien with someone else made my heart ache, it hurt to 
think that he only saw me as a silly school girl, which he probably did. 
These thoughts wiped the smile off my face and I sighed sadly.
                        
                       :::Darien’s P.O.V.::: 
 I watched Serena out of the corner of my eye, her beautiful smile was gone 
and had turned into a slight frown, she had a hurt expression on her face 
now, ‘Maybe it’s because of me’ ‘Oh please Dare, why would she be depressed 
cuz of you, you haven’t said anything to her!’ ‘You’re right, I just can’t 
think straight when she’s around, I’ll try to gather my sense back,’ ‘Good,’ 
‘Her eyes are so beautiful’ ‘WHAT?!!’ ‘And her hair is like golden strands of 
silk’ ‘Snap out of it dude, This is Serena you’re talking about here, 
Metaball Head, does it ring a bell?!’ ‘I wonder what it would be like to kiss 
her’ ‘STOP, PLEASE, you’re scaring me!’ I was brought back from “Planet 
Serena” by the soft, sweet sound of her voice, “I think I’m gonna go to the 
temple to see Raye, you wanna come Lita?”
   “Yeah, sure.”
   “Are you alright Sere?” Andrew asked, I could see the concern on his face.
   “I guess.”
   “You sure?”
   “Yeah, I’m fine.”
   “I know that’s right.” I mumbled under my breath, but I could see that 
Andrew heard me and he smiled knowingly. I blushed, and thanked god that 
Serena didn’t hear me. She and Lita stood up, “Bye peoples, probably see you 
tomorrow.” Serena said and turned to walk out.
   “Yeah bye, and Andrew, don’t forget.” Lita said, I stared in confusion, I 
looked at Serena who seemed to be as confused as I was.
   “I won’t. See ya, girls.”
   “Bye.” I said and waved, then turned back to Andy.
   “What was she talking about?”
   “Nothing.”
   “Whatever.”
   “Hey, I got an idea. Why don’t *you* ask Serena to the dance?!”
   “WHAT?! ME ask MEATBALL HEAD to the dance? I think not.” I said, even 
though I really loved the idea.
   “Aw, come on Darien, have a heart.”
   “I’ve got one thank you and might I add it works perfectly.”
   “Well obviously not.”
   “And what’s *that* supposed to mean?”
   “Look Darien, I know you like Serena...”
   “Oh don’t start again.”
 
                       :::Author’s P.O.V.:::
 ‘Well, that went well’ Andrew thought sarcastically to himself and went back 
to work.
(Serena and Lita walking to the temple)
   “So Serena, I have a question and please don’t blow a casket when I ask 
you, it’s just a harmless question, O.K.?”
   “O.K.”
   “If Darien asked you to the dance, would you say yes?”
   “Hell Yeah.”
 Lit smiled knowingly, “I thought you didn’t like Darien.”
   “Well, I..uh, don’t, I just feel kind of bad for him, cuz um.. I, I’ve 
never seen him out on a date before. And come on Lita, we both know Darien’s 
way cute.” 
   “Right. But I gotta say, Darien is a hunk.”
   “You see. So what brought this question on?”
   “Well, it looked like Darien wanted to ask you, he was staring at you the 
whole time we were at the arcade, he was practically drooling.”
   “Nuh-huh, really?!” Serena squealed.
 Lita nodded, ‘Well, I did my part.’ She thought to herself with a smile.
   “Way awesome.” Serena said as she skipped up the temple steps, Lita on her 
heels.
 They got to the top and spotted Raye chasing Chad around the front with a 
broom, “Poor Chad, I feel really bad for him, always having to put up with 
Raye.”
   “It’s amazing how they still have a normal relationship.”
   “Yeah. They make a cute couple, that is, when Raye’s not going ballistic.” 
Serena said, and they both laughed.
   “Come on, we better go save Chad before he turns into Raye’s main course 
at dinner.”
   “Yeah, right, come on.”
   “CHAD!!! COME BACK HERE!!”
   “No Way DUDE, put down the broom Raye!!!!”
   “HOW COULD YOU PUT 409 ON THE FLOWER BED??!!! YOU KILLED EVERY FLOWER 
THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!”
   “Hey Raye, chill out, we’ll help you plant new flowers, just step away 
from the broom!” Serena called.
   “Oh.. Hi guys, what’s up?” Raye said as she threw the broom to Chad and 
stopped running. He collapsed to the ground and poured a nearby bucket of 
water over his head.
   “Is Chad gonna be O.K.?” Lita asked looking over Raye’s shoulder at him.
   “Yeah, he’ll be fine, he does that everytime this happens.” Raye said 
catching her breath, “So, what brings you here?”
   “Just wanted to hang.” Lita said.
   “Oh, well come on in.”
   “Raye, have you seen Amy?” Serena asked.
   “Yeah, she’s here studying, I let her in the back to sit next to the pond, 
you can go talk to her if you want.”
   “Thanks, I’ll be right back.” She said and walked to the back of the 
temple.
 Lita and Raye watched as the meatball headed blonde disappeared into the 
temple, “O.K. the coast is clear, Meatball Head has left the premises, what’d 
you gather?” Raye asked anxiously.
 Lita was about to to tell Raye what she knew when a mad Mina walked up the 
steps, “So...” Mina started.
   “WHY THE HELL DID YOU GUYS LEAVE ME AT THE ARCADE?!!!!!!!!”
   “Oops, sorry Mina, I guess we kind of.. forgot about you.”
   “OH, WELL THAT’S NICE TO KNOW!! Anyway, what are we discussing?”
   “Darien and Serena.” Raye replied.
   “Oh goodie, so who has the gossip?”
   “I do, and I was just about to tell Raye what happened.”
   “O.K.”
   “So, Serena came into the arcade and Mina had gone to play the Sailor V 
video game...”
   “...And she said she wouldn’t mind if Darien asked her out, or I mean, 
asked her to the dance.”
   “Wow.” Mina and Raye said in unison.
   “Yeah, I know.”
 Just then, Serena and Amy came out and stood in front of the three girls, 
“So what are you guys talking about?” Amy asked, closing her science book.
   “Um, we were just, uh...” Lita started nervously.
   “Discussing the Backstreet Boys!” Mina called out.
   “Oh?”
   “Yeah. Which one do you think is cutest, I have to say Nick.” Mina 
continued.
   “Well, Nick is cute, but I still have to disagree, I like AJ.” Serena said.
   “Howie is FINE.” Said Raye.
   “Yes, but Kevin.. is the cutest.” Amy said innosently.
   “I have to argue with all of you, Brian is the best, he looks like...”
   “Your old boyfriend.” The four girls said.
   “We know already Lita.” Raye said, obviously annoyed.
   “Am I really that predictable?”
 The girls nodded, “It’s O.K. Lita, we still love ya.” Serena said, sitting 
down next to Lita and putting an arm around her shoulder.
   “Thanks Sere, you always know what to say.” Lita said, slightly sarcastic.
 Serena smiled, then covered her ears, “What’s that awful noise?”
She said squinting her eyes, the others did the same, except for Raye.
   “OOO, That’s Chad, he’s singing again!!!” She said and ran to get her 
broom. She hurried inside and soon they all heard someone scream, 
“OOOOWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!! RAYE WHAT’D YOU DO THAT FOR?!!!”
   “NO MORE SINGING!!!!!!!!!!!” Raye yelled and started to chase Chad around 
the yard just like before.
   “Poor, poor Chad.” Mina said.
   “You mean poor Raye, she has to listen to that everyday, I would have 
killed him a while ago.” Serena said laughing, the others joined her.
   “Come on let’s get outa’ here before Raye goes distructo.” Amy suggested.
   “Too late.” Lita said as they walked down the stairs.
