Name: Sakura Girl E-mail: alicefan@misystems.cnchost.com Rating: G Disclaimer: The characters in that wonderful anime/manga title, Sailor Moon, do NOT belong to me whatsoever (sadly… ~sigh~)! The amazingly clever Naoko Takeuchi may take all credit, so please, don't file any unneeded (totally unneeded!) lawsuits against me for simply "borrowing" these Sailor Moon people for my story! Alternate Reality By Sakura Girl The young blonde slowly made her way to her little bench in the middle of the park. She carefully sat down upon the mahogany colored seat as she pulled out, yet another failing test paper. The fourteen-year-old girl let out an exasperated groan. 'My mom's going to ground me for at least a year!' she thought gloomily. Usually, failing such tests didn't really bother her much, she would simply just shrug it off at the arcade with an entire afternoon of Sailor V video games. However, this occasion was slightly different. Serena had actually APPLIED herself this time. She could easily recall studying for the stupid thing every night for one whole week! Sure, there were times that she might have taken exaggerated snack breaks, or fallen asleep on the job or other like situations… But all in all, she had felt quite confident upon the exam date. What happened? As she let out another disappointed sigh, she suddenly noticed from the corner of her eye a rather strange looking figure heading towards her. The entire park was completely deserted, without any trace of any other human activity. Serena couldn't help feel slightly nervous about the approaching figure. What if he was some crazy deranged person out to hurt little girls? What if he was actually a mugger? What if…what if, all these wild and crazy thoughts raced around Serena's nervous little brain. She briskly gathered up her things and tried to high tail it out of the abandoned park. However, the so-called mugger/sicko/whatever just kept following the scared little blonde. Finally, Serena boldly decided to face her fears. "Okay, mister! Quit following me around, I don't know what you're up to, but I'll bet it's no good! Just…just go, and leave me alone!" she stuttered to the figure hurriedly. When she finally gathered up her courage to face the person. Her pretty, blue eyes quickly widened in absolute, complete horror! Her screams could probably be heard all the way from Japan to China… The mysterious, menacing-looking black blob wasn't like anything she had seen before. It definitely wasn't human, that was for sure! However, she couldn't quite classify it as any creature or animal she had ever seen before either. In fact, it resembled something that of a vortex thing or time warp that one could often find on sci-fi shows. Suddenly, the thing lurched forward and Serena felt a strong, unbeatable force sucking her into the black hole. She screamed. Loud. But by the time the park's janitors had reached her, it was too late. The black hole had disappeared, and all that was left was a piece of paper marked in red, which lay peacefully on top of a little black book bag with a little silver buckle. Serena groggily sat up from her spot upon the great, green field of grass. As her vision slowly came into better focus, her lapis- colored eyes quickly took in the foreign scenery that lay in front of her. She let out a small gasp as she realized that she was no longer in the park, and in some other area of town. An area that she had never been to, she scurried about the vast field of grass and tiny, pink blossoms as she searched for her missing book bag. 'What exactly happened to it?' she thought worriedly. All she could recall from the occurrences that happened just a few minutes ago was the great black hole (which was now nowhere in sight, much to her relief) and the park setting. Serena simply just brushed the strange blackish vortex as a hallucination from too much stress from that stupid test, and the current predicament she was in as…well, this one left her clueless but she quickly directed her thoughts back to finding her school bag. "Where is it?" she mumbled to no one in particular, her slender fingers digging through the tall grass as she tried to find the darned thing. Her mother should be worried sick by now! Usually, Serena would be home eating dinner by now… Instead, she was stuck in the middle of nowhere looking for her missing school bag and praying that her mother would be in a super good mood by the time she got back. Which led her to her next item to ponder about, "What time was it anyway?" She knew she probably stayed at the park for at least an hour before finding herself in this queer part of town. So it was probably near six or seven. 'But if it's evening time, why is the sun still shining so brightly as if the day had just begun? I mean, I'm no expert at astronomy, but I DO know that the sun's supposed to be setting right about now… Strange.' She mused quietly. After about twenty more minutes of searching, she just gave up. "Argh! Why do these kinda things always have to happen to me?" she whined. But as she began a whimpering session towards an innocent little ladybug, Serena couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of her new surroundings. She didn't know that this kind of natural haven even existed, due to constant new businesses that often destroyed nearby forests and such just to build new office buildings or bigger warehouses. 'Well…as angry as mother's gonna be, I might as well enjoy myself while I'm here.' She grinned mischievously. With that, she started to skip childishly across the open meadow and giggled like a six-year-old while she went. She hadn’t felt so much freedom and released from daily duties since the age of three. The cool, summer breeze that blew against her face felt so wonderful! She just kept running and running and running… Finally, out of breath, but very happily winded. Serena gingerly sat herself down on the soft green grass and just relaxed her mind from the worries it had been burdened with. As she unconsciously began to drift off into a peaceful slumber, Serena unfortunately, failed to notice the sinister-looking men that were approaching her just now. "Looks like we've got ourselves quite a find here…" the burliest of the three stated smugly. "Yeah boss, betcha we can find us quite a bargain for such young skin!" Hey minna! This is actually my second Salior Moon fic (Clap everyone! Yay!), I know this first chapter doesn't have anything to do with...Sailor Moon romancies... Gomen nasai, please forgive! But!
