Chapter 2: Small Annoyances Walking in the door of the Crown Center, the anger in that man's eyes still bothered her. She had knocked him down, but it had been an accident. It really had! She sighed slightly and put her stuff in a cubbyhole. Tying on her apron, she grabbed a waitress pad and pen. She walked up to the first set of customers who werethere for breakfast. Usagi plastered on a grin. "Hi! Good morning and welcome to the Center! Can I get you anything todrink this morning?" The customer smiled back at Usagi. "Please. I'd like a black coffee. I'm still deciding on my breakfast." Usagi nodded. "Hai. One coffee coming up!" She went over to pour the woman's coffee. She looked about her age, but the girl had short blue hair and looked very shy. Usagi mentally kicked herself. 'All she wants is her coffee. Not a friendship witha student.' Usagi moved back over to the blue-haired woman and set her coffee in front of her. "Ready to order?" The young lady smiled. "Hai." She rattled off her order and Usagi nodded, smiled, and went to handMotoki the order. Motoki, taking the order, happened to glance up at Usagi. "Are you okay, Usagi-chan? You don't seem. . .your normalhappy self today." Usagi sighed. "I ran into this guy on the sidewalk. Just like old times! I apologized and everything, but he looked at me with such. . .hatred. It was awful. .I didn'treally do anything." Motoki, suddenly very curious, questioned, "Did you happen to see what this guy looked like?" Usagi, trying to think, half shrugged. "He had dark hair and deep blue eyes that were so angry.." Motoki nodded to himself and went to fill the order. * * * Usagi, tired and just worn out, plodded back to the apartment. It was 5:15, and she figured that hermysterious roommate was already gone. She put her key in the lock, and let herself in. She decided to go for a short nap before dinner. As she pulled off her coat, she noticed that her ancient sewing machine had been used. She giggled to herself about the thought of a guy trying to use that machine. She quickly put that out of her head, and snuggled upfor a nap. Simultaneously, her mysterious roommate had reported to the Crown Game Center to talk to his best friend, Motoki. He came storming in. Motoki, hearing the door jingle, looked up. "Oh, hi,Mamoru." Mamoru just glared. "This whole roommate thing! The girl is using my shampoo and I think she accidentally mixed up our toothbrushes. I just wonder if this is more annoying than beneficial!" He semi-growled, low in histhroat. Motoki laughed to himself. "Mamoru, calm down. I'm sure that whoever she is will learn all the ropes soon. Do you even know who she is?" Mamoru shook his head. "I only have a slight idea. Other than that, I wouldn't know her if I bumped intoher on the street." ----- Chapter 3: Girl Finds Boy At Her . . .
