Bleed to Love Her 1/? by Meredith Bronwen Mallory mallorys-girl@cinci.rr.com Hello, ladies and gents. This is another little first seasoner my little brain cooked up. This is what happens when youıre up until two in the morning cleaning. Anyway, this piece gets itıs name from the song ŒBleed to Love Herı by Fleetwood Mac. Though I firmly believe that Lindsay Buckingham wrote the song for Stevie, it is still perfect for Serena and Darien. Also, somewhere along the line I plan to use the song ŒYou Make Loving Funı (and not THAT, Ken-chan) and ŒRhiannonı by Fleetwood Mac. Thanks! Luv Always, Meredith Ps. Feedback is your FRIEND!! Legal Disclaimer: I donıt own Sailor Moon. If I did, I wouldnıt be writing this, Iıd be in Bermuda with Darien! (hehehe ;-) Thus, you can safely determine that I DONıT own Sailor Moon. Personal Disclaimer: Hopeless romantic, Œnough said. ----------------------- They fought. The day would not be complete unless they fought. He towered over her, tall, dark and handsome, and she valiantly wasnıt intimidated by him, her blue eyes flashing as she insulted him, and he insulted her back. Then they parted ways and all was at peace with the universe... at least on the outside. ³Why do you stand there and let him tease you?² Lita asked her friend as the golden haired girl took a seat beside her. Serena mumbled something incoherent, busy watching Darienıs retreating back. she thought to herself, She was in love with him. It really wasnıt her fault, she rationalized, ever girl fell in love with Darien. There was something about him... Of course, she didnıt LIKE the fact she was in love with him. said a small, teasing voice in the back of her mind. Serena merely ignored it. It was true, she was not enjoying loving Darien. In fact, sheıd been downright terrified when sheıd figured out she was falling for him. But there was little she could do but resist the urge to yell Œtimber!ı and hide the affection deep within. So they continued their little ritual of teasing and insulting. She lived for those little fights of theirs, they gave her an incredible rush for some reason, akin to the rush she got when fighting along side Tuxedo Mask. there was a thought to root her out of her daydreams of Darien. The possibility of her ever having a relationship with Tuxedo Mask was greater than her ever having one with Darien. Serena sighed and turned to the chocolate sundae sheıd ordered. Chocolate was good, it could heal the soul. With that silly thought, she giggled, and managed to find her way back to her usual cheerful self. Lita watched Serena staring after Darien and shook her head. The girl had it bad, real bad. But of course, Lita would never say anything. It was clear to anyone who had eyes that he cared for her too, just the way he acted around her. Around any other person of the female persuasion, Darien was cool, calm, collected and charming. But around Serena, he obviously wasnıt so sure of himself, for he was constantly teasing her. As her friend turned back to her sundae, Lita stifled a giggle. It was only a matter of time before those two got together, she didnıt need to be a medium like Raye to know that!! ---------- Darien walked home, feeling alive. All thanks to Serena, the little golden child, his arcade angel. Stuffing his hands in his pockets, he began to whistle. Yes, life was good. He had a good job, was doing well in school, and he had Serena. Well... that thought made him stop. He didnıt HAVE Serena. He could only get his daily ŒMeatball Headı hit and be on his way, remembering her smile and how adorable she looked when she was angry. Now he sighed, his good mood gone. He didnıt deserve her, and he knew she wouldnıt have him. Unlocking the door to his apartment, he grabbed the little black book with a rose imprinted on the cover and a pen and sat down to write. You are the golden angel that fills my life with light, Could you ever know how important you are to me? I desire to hold you, to kiss you, But no, I can only stand on the edge of your world, Hidden by shadows. Who knew your world had shadows at all? You fill it with light, you shine your glorious light on everyone, And everything. I love you so much, you are every thing Iım not. I leave so much to be desired, and yet, you balance me out. If I held you, would I smother that light? Would my own icy nature destroy your warmth? Would my rain put out the sun? I couldnıt stand for that to happen. So I stay on the edge of your world. I love you, my angel, My sweet Serena. Shutting the book, he put it back in his black school bag and returned to the couch, a hand moving to rub his temples. He missed her already. he wondered. It was rather unfair, he knew, but there was really nothing he could do about it. Heıd tried everything to get over her, and all it had done had made him love her more. Every girl heıd gone out with had fallen short of Serenaıs perfection, and thus, he fell more and more in love with her every time he tried to replace her. Hopeless. he thought rather nastily. With a sigh, he picked up his physics textbook and attempted to focus his concentration elsewhere. He fell asleep, and into dreams. He saw a beautiful kingdom crumbling before his very eyes, and heard the screams of the dying. It tore at his soul, but more so, his heart broke. His princess was in danger. He knew that if she should die, there would be no end to his anguish He could not live without her light. He hurried to the palace, and saw her standing out in the open, looking for him. ³Princess!² he called to her, ³Serenity!² She turned and all but flew into his arms, holding onto him in desperation. ³Oh, Endy... I...,² she dissolved into tears as he stroked her hair, holding her tight, glad that she was alive. Then his surroundings changed. The chaos was over and a mist hung in the air. He still stood on the balcony, but his princess had vanished. Through the mist, he could faintly make out her form as she stood, looking out of the still city. It was dead. ³Princess?² he asked, coming towards her. She turned to him, and her eyes seemed almost dead. ³Oh, Endymion, you must bring me the silver crystal, please...² Darien awoke in a cold sweat, textbook still in his lap. He glanced at the clock. It was only seven. It wasnıt like him to fall asleep studying like that, but there had been a Negaverse attack almost every night that week. His strength was wearing thin, but he could not refuse his duty. Darien knew that soon, the call would sound. That familiar tug on the edge of his soul would let him know that Sailor Moon, the gold haired champion of love and justice, (in training,) needed his help. And he would go to her, as always, because he felt this need to protect her. He didnıt know why, but he did. She was fragile, and delicate, and a bit of a klutz, just like his Meatball Headed angel. She didnıt belong in battle, but there she was, trying her best. And he admired, maybe even loved, her for it. Yes, tonight would be one of those nights. He felt it somewhere deep within. He was in the arcade, actually, when the flash of fear, and adrenaline, shot through him. Darien knew instantly that the sensations belonged not to him, but the little warrior girl who, even know, was fighting the Negaverse. He didnıt normally come to the arcade at this time, but Andrew had asked him to come study with him while he worked (quite an accomplishment since Andrew kept being called away every two seconds.) ³Hey, man, whatıs wrong?² Andrew asked, waving a hand in front of his friendıs face. ³I...² Darien trailed off, trying desperately to think up an excuse, ³I just remembered something I forgot to do! I have to go!² And with that, he grabbed his black school bag and rushed out the door, not even realizing that a certain little book had fallen out. ------- He perched on a the limb of a tree, watching as the four sailors battled wearily against the monster. They all seemed bone tried, desperately trying to keep up a front. Even Sailor Moon, who was usually taunting the monster (until it came after her and she ran screaming), was worn. He waited, knowing he needed the element of surprise on his side. Then, just as the disgusting creature hurled a bolt of energy at Sailor Moon, he hurled a single, steel tipped rose, deflecting the bolt. ³Tuxedo Mask!² Sailor Moon cried out happily. ³Now, Sailor Moon!² he urged her. ³Right!² she said, then powered up her tiara, ³MOON TIARA MAGIC!!² ³NO!!!² the monster screamed, launching one last bolt of nega-energy just before the tiara connected with itıs body and turned it to dust. Unfortunately, Sailor Moon was busy watching the disintegrating monster, and didnıt see the stray bolt until it was too late. ³Sailor Moon! LOOK OUT!² Tuxedo Mask cried, jumping in front of the small warrior just before the energy bolt hit her. Instead it connected painfully with the masked manıs body, forcing him to the ground. Darien felt his world tilt, then become covered with darkness, and he was taken to a place where there werenıt any dreams. ³OH NO!!² Sailor Moon cried as she fell to her knees before the fallen man. She put her arms around him, moving him into a sitting position with surprising strength. ³Oh, my poor Tuxedo Mask, can you hear me?² He didnıt stir, and Sailor Moon began to cry. ³Is he still alive?² Sailor Jupiter asked worriedly. ³I donıt know, I donıt know!² Sailor Moon cried. Mercury bent to check for a pulse, and nodded slowly. They all let out a sigh of relief. ³We have to get him out of here, we canıt just leave him here,² Sailor Mars began, but she was cut short by Sailor Moonıs desperate cry. They all looked down at their leader, who had Tuxedo Maskıs head resting in her lap and was looking at her white gloved hands in horror. They were covered with blood. ³NO!!! Tuxedo Mask, you CANıT LEAVE ME!!!² ------- TBC..... What a place to leave off eh? MAWAHHHAAA!! (Evil Mad Scientist Laugh [tm]). More coming your way soon!
