The final part! I've c&p'd the story in and attached the html for asmr... Ely-chan, forgive me for not getting this out right away, I had hmwk! MK With a Cherry on Top 4/4 by Sailor Elysia [ely_chan@yahoo.com] and Moon Klutz [lunap@lunap.com] Running as fast as she could, Usagi dashed back to the cafe, finding it very hard to believe that Motoki had returned early. She stopped in front of the glass doors and peered in before going in. Sure enough, Motoki was standing behind the counter as if he had never left. Suddenly, the thought struck her. What would Motoki say if he found out all that had been going on between her and Mamoru? Usagi paused, leaning against the building. Motoki might get mad-- after all, he had left them in charge of the shop, and they had wound up practically making out! Also, Motoki was Mamoru's best friend, and maybe he wouldn't like the idea of Mamoru seeing something in someone two years younger than him. Or, or... There was so much that Motoki could be upset about! Sighing, Usagi closed her eyes. Would it be worth it though? Definitely. Mamoru was, so far, amazing. And not just those kisses. "Hey Usagi-chan, what are you doing out here? Aren't you a bit cold?" Usagi opened her eyes to see Motoki looking at her with a sly smile. "Ack! Motoki-kun!" "Ack! Usagi-chan!" Motoki gasped, imitating her. "Come on Usagi-chan, even I can tell when something's up! It wouldn't have anything to do with Mamoru, would it?" he said, drawing out Mamoru's name. Usagi's eyes widened. "O--Of course not! Yeesh, Motoki-kun, you should know that better than anyone!" "I should, should I?" Motoki replied with a grin. "So tell me... how are you and Mamoru faring?" Biting her lip, Usagi tried to avoid his penetrating gaze. She couldn't tell Motoki how she felt, she just couldn't. "I... erm... anou... uh, Motoki-kun, don't you need me to go and wait tables or something?" He just laughed. "Usagi-chan, you can tell me anything, you know. You always do. What's been the best part about working with Mamoru this week?" Usagi blinked. 'What do I say? The kisses he gave me behind the counter were really nice? I think NOT! Come on Usagi-chan...think!' "Uh, well, I er... I liked how..." Usagi stuttered, thinking hard. "Looks?" Motoki suggested. Usagi blushed bright red. "I did *not* say that Motoki-kun!" she replied furiously. Motoki smiled with a certainty. "You didn't have to." he replied calmly. "Er, Motoki-kun, I think your customers are waiting," Usagi said, trying to distract him. "Not before I get my answers Usagi-chan." Motoki said. Usagi bit her lip again. "Fine! The best thing about working with Mamoru this week was finding out that he can be late too!" she said angrily, and stormed into the cafe, throwing her apron on and grabbing a tray. But before she could make it to a table, Motoki placed a hand on her shoulder. "Usagi-chan, just to tell you, I would be more than pleased if something came up between you and Mamoru-kun." he said quietly. Usagi blinked. Twice. "Besides," he continued, "I think he likes you." Motoki winked at her and walked away, whistling. Usagi stared after Motoki's retreating figure, dumbfounded. This was... not exactly what she had expected to hear from him, but in a way, she felt relieved. Motoki had just confirmed that Mamoru cared for her the way she cared for him, but she had suspected that ever since their little ice cream mishap. Giggling slightly to herself, Usagi knew she had to come up with a way to apologize to Mamoru for the way she had acted towards him earlier. Something totally unexpected. But what? 'Sneak tackle-super-hug attack? Nah, too expectable...' Usagi went from table to table, thinking as she went. 'I could...but nah, that wouldn't work...' 'Or! No wait, I'd have to...yeah. That wouldn't work either...' "Miss? Can I have another hot chocolate please?" a lady at one of Usagi's tables asked. Usagi smiled. "Sure, no problem!" Walking back to the counter to grab a hot chocolate for the lady though, she stopped dead in her tracks. Apparently Mamoru had come in sometime during her daze, and was currently fixing milkshakes for the customers at the table. Gathering her courage, Usagi brushed past him, calling, "Hot chocolate for table three Mamo-chan!" as she went, smiling and holding back a laugh as she went on to her next table. She didn't have to look back to imagine the look on his face. The giggling smiles of the customers told her enough. Mamoru nearly dropped the milkshake he was pouring when he heard Usagi call out his name in a way she never had before. Glancing over in her direction, she looked back at him for a split second, and in that split second, she slyly winked at him, making even more confused than before. What in the world could have brought that on? All day Usagi had been avoiding him, and now, all of a sudden, she was as warm as the sun. She couldn't have changed faces so quickly, unless... Suddenly, Mamoru made up his mind, and knew exactly what he was going to do. Serving the drink to the customer, he turned to Motoki who was just coming out of the back room. "I need to take a quick break, and I'm taking Usagi-chan with me. Don't ask me any questions, you'll find out later anyway." Motoki smiled and bent his head as he tied on his apron. It was things like this that made working here so much more than worth it. Mamoru dropped his apron on a stool and walked over quickly to where Usagi was taking an order from a couple in the booth near the door. Wrapping an arm around her waist from behind, she stopped talking immediately. "Excuse her please, if you wave over Motoki--the guy at the counter--he'll finish taking your order." Mamoru said calmly, but with a smile in his voice. The couple smiled at him, eyes sparkling, having over heard along with the rest of the cafe a few moments ago. They smiled and Mamoru guided Usagi out the side door as she too dropped her apron off on a stool. 'Well, this certainly isn't going according to plan, but hey, what the heck!' Usagi thought with a smile. Taking her by the hand, Mamoru led Usagi around the side of the building away from the street. What he had to tell her was important, and he was in no mood for any distractions. He leaned against the brick wall and looked down on the petite blonde girl, maintaining eye contact with her the whole time. "Usagi, do you have any idea what you've done?" he spoke in a low voice. Usagi was startled, and she frowned slightly. Had she done something and she wasn't aware of it? She bit her lip. "Wha--what did I do?" she asked in a shaky voice. Leaning forward, as if he were going to whisper in her ear, Mamoru brushed his lips against her neck, and kissed it gently, which made her tingle all over. "You made me fall for you, Usako," he mumbled softly, as he continued kissing her. She reached up and took his face in her hands, tears of happiness shining in her eyes. "And I for you, Mamo-chan." Standing up on her tiptoes, Usagi captured his lips in a sweet and tender kiss that grew deeper by the second. There were four dreamy sighs heard to the right, and Mamoru paused, opening his right eye. There stood Usagi's friends, Ami, Rei, Makoto and Minako, and behind them stood Motoki with a silly proud grin on his face. "Hey guys, about time you two came up for air!" Motoki said, laughing. Mamoru, still leaning into his Usako, their faces touching, could feel her blush. Mamoru grinned as the girls sighed again. Wrapping an arm around her waist, he pulled her closer again. "And don't you forget Motoki-kun, she's mine now!" he said, laughing. Usagi was beyond blushing now, her face buried in his arm. Makoto sighed. "He reminds me so much of my old -" "Sempai, we know!" The other three finished for her. Makoto frowned. "Actually, I was going to say classmate, but hey, if you guys don't want details..." she trailed off. The three girls' eyes went wide, and they followed Makoto as she walked away. "Iie, really Mako-chan, we want to know! Please? Please Mako-chan? With a cherry on top?" At that, Mamoru burst out laughing as Motoki shook his head and walked away. "Nani? Mamo-chan, what's so funny?" Usagi asked, pulling her head out of his arm. Mamoru smiled. "Did I ever tell you about this little dream I had of you? Well..." The end... .......or so we hope. ^^ MK and Ely-chan Klutz (MKC) Proud webmistress and owner of Luna P dot Com!
