Chiba Family Robinson By Antigone and Moon Klutz. Rat: g/pg Part:Pro AN: This is an Usa-Mamo romance, but at the same time, kind of a joke. First off, there are a few things you might want to know, like what a DRUF and a DDMF are. A DRUF is a Deranged Rabid Usagi Fan. Basically, someone like Antigone, who would defend Usagi to the death! Antigone: They are an excitable bunch, co-ed, . We worship rabbits, the moon, ice-cream crystals and sacrifice manga, chocolate sundaes and um... pink stuff. A DDMF is some one like Moon Klutz, a Drooling Deranged Mamoru Fan. ^^ In this story, the tribe name is changed to Ddmuf, so it's easier to pronounce. ^^ Moon Klutz: Mamo-chan above all else! Actually, we're also co-ed, though it's hard not to find a gay DDMF around here… For the purpose of our story though, the male DDMF's will be DDMF's because they admire all of Mamo-chans good qualities! In this fic, there is an island somewhere in the middle of nowhere, where the DRUF's and the DDMF's live. You'll get the idea from here on, trust me. ^^ For easier-to-pronounce-in-your-head reasons, the DDMF will be called Ddmuf in this fic… Drooling Deranged MamorU Fans. In the middle of nowhere, there is an island, which is called Dlrow Okoan. On this island there are two tribes, the Druf tribe and the Ddmuf tribe. The two tribes each worship their own god, the Druf worship Selene, whom they call Usagi, the goddess of the moon. The Ddmuf tribe worships Endymion, the Earth, whom they call Mamoru. Each tribe is a mystery to mankind. They speak a strange tongue, a combination of two languages, which have been changed over the years. They build shrines and write stories of their respective gods all day long. The Druf and the Ddmuf are a strange group all right, but today, something strange is going to happen… Tsukino Usagi put her hands on the railing of the boat, pouting out at the ocean as if she blamed it for her predicament. 'Stupid boat. Stupid trip. Stupid Mamoru.' Usagi was on a trip to meet her family at the small island of Hot Springs the boat was headed to. Because of a huge test at school, however, her family went on ahead, leaving their daughter a ticket and a promise to meet her at the dock. Usagi would have enjoyed the romance of the voyage immensely if she had someone to share it with. Even Rei-baka would be nice. But no, it was just her, her crystal and apparently, God hated her, because her worst enemy was on this boat as well. Usagi frowned. The waves were getting pretty high, and she didn't like the sensations they were causing her stomach. Turning, Usagi walked inside to the main hall. It was a large room, filled with chairs, tables, people and more people. The only problem was, the room was packed. There were no empty seats anywhere near her except… Usagi frowned and grumbled. The only empty seat in the place would have to be next to Mamoru-baka, at his table. Gritting her teeth as the boat jerked violently to the left, she walked over with as much courage as she could muster and sat down next to Mamoru. He looked mildly amused. "Kon-wa Odango." He said calmly. She nodded her head slightly in his direction. "Mamoru-baka." She replied. They sat there in silence for a few moment as the boat pitched back and forth. Usagi was growing steadily more nervous. Why was the boat tipping so much? This didn't seem normal… Mamoru frowned. "Odango, I hate to say this, but I think there's something wrong with the boat." He had been staring fiercely at their surroundings the last few minutes. Usagi gaped. "Nani?!" But before she could say anything else he had grabbed her hand and shoved open the doors, dragging her outside. The waves were rising higher every minute, sloshing over the sides. "Why isn't the crew doing anything about this? Where's the captain?" Usagi asked frantically, searching the deck with her eyes when she wasn't being splashed. "I think that's your answer." Mamoru said grimly. Usagi could barely make them out in the storm that was mounting steadily, a small lifeboat with the captain and crew rowing away from the ship. "Mamoru, we have to save them!" Usagi cried, but the doors were flung open again as a mass of people rushed out like stampeding elephants. There were people screaming, yelling, crying, she heard the same phrase over and over, something about the boat flooding, sinking. They were all going to die. But while Usagi had been gaping at the crowd, Mamoru had managed to grab them both a life jacket, and tossed one to Usagi. Seconds after she had it over her head, the boat pitched sharply, and they were thrown into the water before you could say 'Moon Power'. Usagi's head popped out of the water, gasping for air before the next wave swallowed her again. Mamoru was there, somewhere to her left. Everywhere she looked there were people struggling against the waves, drowning beneath the storm. She was barely managing to get enough air herself. Mamoru grabbed her by the back of her life jacket and helped her grip her arms onto a piece of wood he had found, and they held onto it for dear life. The last thing she remembered was Mamoru saying, "Don't give up Usagi! Don't give up!"* And then, there was darkness. *Pure jokes, MK absolutely hated Titanic. ^^ E-mail is nice! antigone@lunap.com and lunap@lunap.com please!
