Name: Sakura Girl E-mail: alicefan@misystems.cnchost.com Rating: G Disclaimer: The characters in that wonderful anime/manga title, Sailor Moon, do NOT belong to me whatsoever (sadly… ~sigh~)! The amazingly clever Naoko Takeuchi may take all credit, so please, don't file any unneeded (totally unneeded!) lawsuits against me for simply "borrowing" these Sailor Moon people for my story! Fallen Angel: Part 1.5 By Sakura Girl Queen Serenity (a.k.a. Ruler of the Heavens) slowly took her seat in the royal throne of heaven as her loyal subjects (the angels) bowed down in utmost respect towards her. However, this time, the subjects of heaven noticed that there seemed to be someone missing from the royal throne collection…Princess Serena. The large crowd of winged folk searched around the celestial courtyard for the missing angel princess. To their incredible astonishment, sitting upon the "accused" cloud of darkness, was the one and only silver-headed princess herself! A steady wave of soft, shocked gasps could be heard among the saintly society. It was followed by a bit of quiet murmuring amongst the group of angels. Suddenly, the Throne Room was interrupted by an unexpected group of Guardian Angels. "Your majesty! The Four Generals of the Dark World have arrived! They are attempting to break down the Gate! You must act upon this immediately!" The ancient Queen instantly arose from her throne and made her way to the Heavenly Entrance. Serena was currently forgotten amongst the massive flurry of wings and chaos. "Mother! Please release me from this cloud! Though I may not deem worthy, I wish to help!" she stated frantically. However, her cries were not heard for the almighty Queen was already busy defending the Paradise from its present siege. "Your precious little daughter must pay! And since you are simply just too worthless to even dare lay a finger upon that wrench of a daughter… I’ll just have to take matters into my own hands! I’ll see to it that she WILL be punished properly!" the fiery-headed Dark Queen declared viciously. "Queen Beryl…please… Be reasonable! She is just a child after all! I am quite displeased with her actions as you are, but…perhaps a little talk with her will smooth things out quite fairly. Don’t you agree?" The silver-headed Queen pleaded softly. "Ha! Fools! I will have my revenge, and if breaking the Pact is what it takes… I won’t hesitate to do so, dear Sister of mine (Surprised? Yes? No? No? No. Oh well! It’s a weird concept isn’t it? Kinda hard to accept, I know. But just think… Zeus and Hades, they were brothers after all. It’ll help soothe out the concept-accepting process better…)!" sneered Beryl. For the first time in her life, Queen Serenity rebelled against her sister, enough was enough! Ever since the beginning of time (literally!) Serenity had always been the one to step back and allow Beryl to have her way… "Beryl! Let us keep our disputes to ourselves! I do not wish to involve our conflicts with the Paradise…or the Underworld, and I will do whatever it takes to keep the peace! For you ought to know the consequences of any collisions between our worlds, the results will be deadly." She warned harshly. With that, she placed her two hands in front of her to form a U shape. Allowing a sparkling diamond-like crystal to appear within her cupped hands. "The Silver Imperium Crystal? Ha! You’ll need more than that likes of that useless rock to defeat me!" scoffed the green-eyed Queen as she held out one hand and summoned for the power of the Dark Crystal. And thus, the battle began. The eye-piercing brightness from Serenity’s side clashed head-on with the snarling black energy Beryl was emitting. As the two repelling forces continued to gnaw at one another, the face of darkness seemed to be slowly overpowering the side of the Light. Suddenly, another burst of heavenly energy burst from behind Serenity. "Your Highness!" Mina called out as she added in her powers. "No! Leave us be…" the weakening Queen ordered. Beryl smiled maliciously at her seeming victory, "Give the Princess to me and I shall spare Paradise!" An unanticipated spirit of new determination entered the failing Queen at the mentioning of her daughter! "Never…" she whispered. Suddenly an unearthly crescent moon insignia began glowing brightly upon the Queen’s forehead as she put forth her last bit of strength. "No, my Queen! You cannot sacrifice… We need you, Serena needs you!" screamed Angel Mina. Her calling was exclaimed a moment too late, for in a bright flash of a silvery-white…all was gone. The Queen’s Last Thoughts… ‘Good-bye Serena… Good-bye my beautiful Angels… Tend carefully over the Paradise for me… Once Serena proves herself worthy of her true identity…she will resume my position as the Ruler of the Heavens. Mina! You must watch over Serena for the duration of time she shall remain on Earth…to repay the debt she owes the Dark Queen… Give her my blessings, I’ve finally sent her to her beloved Prince! Do not tell Beryl of her placing… she has not expired, I can still feel her presence, though it ‘tis quite weak… Be careful, be good, be loving my children! Good-bye…’
