Tears were streaming down my face as I ran into the hospital. As I went into the emergency waiting room, I saw a doctor that caught my eye. He was kind of old looking, grey hair, and a pair of thin-framed glasses. My eyes widened as a flash back came to me… ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ I sat on the hospital bed in a lonely room. There was no one to talk to, and I could barely remember anything but my name. I had tears rolling down my flushed cheeks, because my mommy and daddy are gone. I don't even remember what they look like, or what their names are. The only name I remembered was mine… Darien. Suddenly a tall doctor, with brown and grey streaks in his hair came in to visit me. "Hi there, Darien isn't it?" He asked. I nodded slowly and whiped my tears away. He smiled a soft smile. "How have you been lately? Have any headaches or anything?" He asked kindly. I smiled through my sadness, knowing that I was going to like this person. He seemed nice. "No sir. I feel better." I beemed. He russled my hair a bit and asked, "You want to get some ice cream? I know a good place to get some." That's when I knew that he was a pretty cool person. I jumped off the bed and nodded furiously. He laughed full heartedly and took me down to the Tokyo Ice Cream Parlor. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ I gasped loudly and he turned to look at me. Two tears slid down my cheek as he took a few steps forward. "Darien?" he asked, "Is that you?" I nodded slowly and he came closer, his face softening. "Yea Doctor, it's me." I told him. He smiled and hugged me, and I hugged him back. "What are you doing here? I haven't seen you in years!" he exclaimed. My gaze dropped to the floor and my eyes were glazed over with tears. "My…my good friend was really hurt at our football practice today." He frowned and then gasped. "Is it that cheerleader… her name is Serena Tsukino?" I nodded and he looked at me. "Darien, I'll go check on her and report to you in a minute." He said and quickly rushed off passed the big grey doors. I felt the need to shed my tears yet again, for the safety of my sweet little angel. ~Amy's P.O.V~ For once in my life, I didn't have a book near me. I know I'd fall behind, and only be 15 chapters ahead in my studys, but right now, all I could think about was my dear friend Serena. I ran my right hand through my short hair, wondering what it would be like without… no! I shook my head. I am not even going to think about that. She can't leave us. My eyes began to water as the doctor came back into the room. Everyone gathered around him, and looked into his sad eyes pleadingly. He took a deep breath and began to tell us what happened. "Right now, Serena is still unconcious. She has a compound fracture to the leg, also her backbone cracked near her neck, and it's compressing the spinal cord. We will have to bring her into surgery tomorrow to alieviate the pressure on her spinal cord. There is an 80% chance of her surviving the surgery, and we'll have to put a cast on her leg. Im…terribly sorry about this…" He finished, as a tear ran down his cheek. Raye put her arm around my shoulder and looked at me sadly. For once, I saw worry and concern in Raye's eyes. Tears were sparkling in everyone's eyes. Sammy, Serena's little brother was being held by his mom and dad as they all cried, and then I saw Darien. He was standing by the tall doors and looking into the windows. He suddenly turned around and as the doctor was done talking and wiped a tear away from his cheek. "I need to see her…" he whispered. We all looked at him and more tears streamed down his face and all of ours as he began to speak again. "I need to tell her that I don't hate her, I need to tell her she's going to be ok…" he took a deep breath and everyone heard his voice cracking. "I have to see her smile, I want to see her. I want to hold her in my arms, comfort her, and take away all of her pain, and if not that, I want to tell her how much I care for her. I've always been scared to let people come close, and that's why I teased her. I was scared of someone knowing something about me, but Serena was different. She always made people smile, and… and she gave me some hope in life. Hope that there is someone who cares dearly for each and every living soul on this earth." He chocked out a loud sob as Dr. Naikyo put his arm around Darien. I was finally able to see his nametag clearly, and also noted in my head that he was one of the best in Tokyo General Hospital. The doctor looked at each and every-one of our teary eyes and finally said, "I'll let you in to see her, but for 15 minutes only." I saw Darien run in first, with Sammy right behind him. Then Lita, Raye, Mina and I followed behind Mr. and Mrs. Tsukino. Darien walked in slowly, his eyes watering yet again. Serena lay in the bed, her face pale, and her body lifeless looking, and her expression was painful, hurtful, and not just to her, to us. Flashbacks of what happened quickly came back to me. Tears jerked my eyes, and I couldn't take the heart wrenching pain any longer. I quickly ran out of the room, running into my friend Greg, who must've found out about Serena.
