Hi! Everyone! I'm gonna keep this short so that you can go right to the
story. I would like to thank Katagillian for everything:helping my site and
being such a great friend. And I would like to thank Miss J, who, I think,
writes one of the best stories. Miss J is really the one who inspired me to
write this story. If it weren't for her, I would have never written this
kind of story! Thank you! This story is based on a song called "Hello" by
Lionel Richi. I think that's his name. It's a really good song and you
should listen to it one day. Anyway, as usual, don't sue me, please!!! I
would like to thank a friend who helped me a LOT (like the romantic parts)

Darien sighed and slammed his book closed. How was he supposed to
concentrate when a certain "meatball headed" girl was taking over his mind?
Every minute, every second, he dreamed to be with her. They still teased
each other, but Darien was getting tired of waiting. Did she feel the same
way? Did she know that HE felt this way? Darien sighed again and ran his
fingers through his dark bangs and closed his eyes, like the deep sea being
covered by the calm and soft night. His first thought and vision was
Serena...her face was soft and calm. Her eyes were shining softly and her
cheeks were red like the rose she was holding. Her silvery hair was glowing
softly from the pale moonlight, glittering like tiny little stars.
I've been alone with you inside my head
And in my dreams I've kissed your lips a thousand times
He saw a soft silhouette of Serena in the warm soft fog. He nervously walked
closer to her. He stood in front of her and ever so slowly brought his hand
up to hold her face. Gently, he brought her face up to his as he leaned
down...
I sometimes see you pass outside my door

Darien opened his door, ready to start a new day at college. As he turned
around, he saw her...She was walking slowly to school. As she walked on, she
seemed to be searching for something as she looked around. Her eyes landed
on him and he saw her eyes brighten. She smiled and waved to him. Then in a
more cheery mood than before, she skipped the rest of the way to school.
I can see it in your eyes
I can see it in your smile.
You're all I've ever wanted
And my arms are opened wide
Darien sighed and watched her skip to school. He smiled and waved back,
unknown to her. One step closer every day...How long would it take before
she realizes his feelings? He wanted to hold her safely in his arms. Never
in his life did he want something ever so badly, yet not be able to get it.
He'd give up anything for her...even his own life just to hold her close to
him...
They met again, the next day, early in the morning, before the sun was up,
at the park. Darien wondered why she would be here at this time. She saw him
approach her and smiled again. Was that supposed to be a sign? Darien
wondered. He slowly smiled back.
"Hey, Darien, how are you?"
"Fine, thanks, Meatball Head..." Darien watched in amazement as she just
smiled.
"Come...come sit and watch the sun rise with me."
Darien sat next to her on the bench.
"It's beautiful, isn't it, Darien?"

Darien watched her as the sun appeared over the horizon. The first thing
it's soft glow touched was her golden hair. As the breeze softly blew around
them, he sat mesmerized by the beauty she was. She was priceless...more
precious than the most expensive diamond...more soft than the most beautiful
gold...He wanted to so badly keep her safe and away from any danger. He
wanted to show her...
I long to see the sunlight in your hair
And tell you time and time again how much I care
Sometimes I feel my heart will overflow
"Serena?"
"Yes, Darien?"
...I care for you. I love you...He finished inside his head. Instead he
said...
"I'm sorry, but I have to go now."
"oh, okay. See you around, Darien." She looked briskly away back to the sun.
Was that a tear he saw fall down her cheek? Did he make her cry? Should he
just stay?
Hello?
I've just got to let you know
As Darien slowly walked away from the bench, he looked back once and saw her
still sitting there facing the sun. He wanted to run back and gently hold
her. He longed to whisper the words "I love you" softly into her ear.

Are you somewhere feeling lonely
or is someone loving you
Darien laid on his bed as he wondered. What was she doing now? Was she
sleeping? What if she was somewhere all by herself, crying? What if she had
someone to hold her and love her? Did she have another?
He abruptly got up. He dressed in record time and he ran out the door. He
ran straight to the park. Hoping she would still be there. This was his last
chance. The gods have given him many chances and this was his last one. He
had to take it. He got to the park and saw her figure still sitting there.
He felt his heart beat rapidly as he approached her once again. She felt his
presence and turned around. Her eyes were moist with tears and had a hopeful
expression. Darien kneeled before her and held her hand gently. Her as
widened as she looked down to his face.
"Darien?"
"Serena..."

I love you.......
"Serena,...I love you" Darien whispered out the last phrase.

Serena's eyes turned from a depressed expression to a light of pure joy. She
smiled softly through her tears as she brought her hands up to his face.
Darien was now crying. Tears slowly slid down both their faces, glittering
from the sun soft glow. Serena leaned down and Darien brought up his face.
Their lips were centimeters apart. Right before their lips made contact,
Serena and Darien opened their eyes and looked straight into each other.
Then unexpectedly, Darien brought his hands up behind her head and pulled
her down...
Heaven...soft...warm...joy...love...Serena...sweet...finally.......Darien
thought as he pressed his lips against hers. He wanted to taste all of her.
The more he got, the more he wanted. He kissed her deeply and was surprised
when she responded equally deep. Soon, they were holding each other closely
as they kissed. Darien was disappointed as Serena slowly backed away. He
sighed ever so slightly as she pulled away from their comfortable position.
She smiled as he pulled her close to him again. Right before they made
contact for the second time that day, she whispered the words of heaven into
his lips...

"I love you, Darien..."
