*I don't own Sailor Moon, enough said.* Serena shut her eyes against the light and groaned. There's nothing to see at 8 am that you can't see at noon. "Why do the birds have to sing so early?" she mumbled to herself. Her cat stretched and looked at her, "The early bird gets the worm you know." Serena threw a pillow at her, "I wouldn't be so happy if all I got to eat for breakfast was worms." She grumbled. "Serena, you should try to get up early at least once in your life, look at me, I have no trouble with it." Serena rolled her eyes at her cat; "You also sleep all day while I'm at school. You may be my guardian, but you're still a cat. Well this is just great, I'm awake! I may as well go to school, do you have any idea what this will do to my reputation?" Serena threw the blankets off and got up to take a shower, muttering, "Mrs. H is going to have a heart attack when I show up early...stupid birds and sunshine." Luna rolled over and went back to sleep; After all I am a cat! Serena slumped down the stairs and sat at the table. "Morning." Ken Tsukino looked at the person who sat down. "That looks like Serena, but...(checking his watch) she's never been up this early!" Ilene reached across the table to feel her daughter's forehead, "She doesn't feel warm, but maybe I should take her temperature anyway." Serena glared at her family. "Oh get off it. I can be on time you know." Ilene looked at her, "We know sweetie, but it's never happened before. It a Kodak moment, Ken where did we put the camera?" Serena threw her arms in the air; "This is why I'm never early. I told her but would she listen...no. I'm leaving now." "But what about breakfast, honey?" Ilene asked. "I'll get something at the arcade." Serena grabbed her lunch and bolted out the door. Ken looked at his wife; "Will wonders never cease." Ilene shot him a look, "Dear, it's not a wonder. She likely met a nice young man and..." Ken stood up, "WHAT...A BOY. I'LL KILL HIM. SHE'S TOO YOUNG..." Ilene rolled her eyes and shoved a muffin in his open mouth, "Hush Dear." Serena grumbled to herself on the way to the arcade. "...It's not like I haven't got up early before. The way they went on you would think it was Armageddon or something. Stupid birds, chirping so bloody early and Luna talking about worms..." Her ranting was cut short by a very annoying snicker from behind. "Meatball head up early? Maybe it is a sign the world is going to end." Darien laughed as Serena whirled to face him. "Great, fine laugh it up, at least I expect it from you. My own parents scorned me. Mom was one step from calling an ambulance for heaven sake..." Serena kept ranting as Darien laughed harder. "Why...are...you...up...so...early...anyway?" Darien managed, between breaths. Serena looked at him, "Dumb birds outside my window conspired with the sun to keep me awake, then my cat wouldn't leave me alone, something about birds eating worms...Yuck! Give me a hot fudge sundae any time." Darien looked at her; "You have a very active imagination. I'll tell you what, since you're early anyway and you gave me a good laugh, I'll treat you to a sundae before school, OK?" Serena looked at him with suspicion. "Why?" Darien laughed again, "Well if you would rather the worms...?" Serena wrinkled her nose. "No the sundae is fine. You're not going to start acting weird or anything are you?" Darien placed a hand on her shoulder as they walked towards the arcade, "Nah! Just call this a truce. Maybe there's a full moon tonight?" Serena shivered from his touch, "Maybe!" Andrew's jaw fell open as the two walked in. "What the...Serena?" Serena scowled, "Not you too, Andrew?" Darien looked at the confused man and said, "Lay off her today, OK?" If it were possible to trip on your bottom lip, Andrew would have done so. "What...?" Darien shrugged his shoulders, "Full Moon, right Serena?" Serena smiled up at him, He used my name. "Right!" Darien looked at Andrew, "Two hot fudge sundaes Andrew." Andrew shook his head and went to fill the order. Serena was sitting with Darien at the counter when she heard a voice behind her. "Serena, you're up early. Couldn't wait for some ice cream huh?" Serena turned around and hugged her friend, "Molly, you're the best. You're the only one who hasn't teased me today." Molly looked at Andrew and Darien and said, "I thought I was." Serena told Molly how horrifying her day has been so far and Molly listened with understanding. "Poor Serena. Don't worry, maybe you can still get detention." Andrew took this moment to place the sundaes in front of them, "Anything else?" Darien looked at Serena who shook her head and answered, "No this is fine Andrew. Thanks!" Molly looked at them and asked, "Is the world ending, and nobody told me?" Serena cast a look at her friend and held her finger and her thumb close together, "You were this close, Moll." Darien started to laugh. The door chimed again and in walked Melvin, followed by Sammy. "Hello. Did you all get a letter too?" Melvin asked. Serena and Darien exchanged a puzzled look when Sammy, Molly and Andrew said yes. Darien asked, "What letter?" Sammy looked smugly at his sister and said, "An invitation from Sailor Moon to meet her here for an autograph session." Darien and Serena screamed at the same time, "WHAT?" Darien asked to see Andrew's invite while Serena snatched Sammy's. Darien's brow furrowed as he read the card. Dear Fans, I would like to thank you for all your support Of my heroic efforts to save the city. I would like to invite you to have breakfast With me tomorrow morning, where I'll Answer your questions and sign some Autographs. The Arcade at 8:30 The solider of love and justice, Sailor Moon. What the hell is she thinking? Darien wondered as he read the note once more. Serena on the other hand was quietly freaking out. I didn't write this, I know I didn't. Who did? The Negaverse! A TRAP! Serena frantically looked around, I have to get them out of here. "It's a trap. We have to get out of here." Serena screamed. They all turned to look at her. Darien asked, "What? How do you know?" Serena sneered, "Oh come on, Sailor Moon isn't that conceited." Darien looked at the note again as Serena started to hurry her brother out the door. "Lay off, your just jealous 'cause you didn't get an invite." Sammy stuck out his tongue at his Sister. "No Sammy, that's not it." Darien gasped, "Serena's right, it's a trap. We have to leave now!" Suddenly the room grew very black. Zoicite started to laugh. "So the party crashers have ruined the surprise. Oh well, no harm done. I'll just take you all." Serena stood in front of her brother. "What do you want?" Zoicite laughed again. "Why Sailor Moon of course. She has saved these people before; it stands to reason she will again. If she don't you'll all be dead." Zoicite laughed and disappeared. Before the blackness hit, Serena turned her communicator on and threw it under a bench with the letter. Then all was quiet. "That stupid Meatball head. Why did she turn her communicator on if she's not going to talk into it?" Raye wondered. Amy furrowed her brow as she looked at the static coming over the screen. "I don't know." Lita looked worried; "Do you think she's in trouble?" Raye shook her head. Mina nodded, "Likely a sale at the mall. Let's ask her at school." They others nodded in agreement and continued on to school. The schoolyard was abuzz with gossip when they got there. Lizzy, Andrew's sister ran up to them. "Have you guy's seen Serena today?" Lita answered. "No why?" Lizzy started to cry. Mina wrapped an arm around her, "What's wrong?" Lizzy wiped her eyes; "Andrew's disappeared. Others too as far as we can tell." "What?" Raye yelled. Lizzy took a step back but continued, "Yeah, Andrew was working at the arcade today, and when the waitress showed up for work she said the store was open but no one was around. That's so not like Andrew. So when the police showed up they found Darien's coat, Molly and Melvin's books and Sammy's homework..." Amy gasped and the others passed knowing looks. "There's something else isn't there Lizzy?" Amy asked. Lizzy nodded and continued; "Serena's backpack was there too. But she always leaves it there, so I figured maybe she did again. You guys haven't heard from her?" Raye, Lita and Mina exchanged guilty looks as Amy shook her head. "Thanks for telling us Lizzy. We'll try to call Serena's house, maybe she's still in bed." Lizzy smiled and walked away. Amy cast a glance at the others, "We'll be guilty later, right now we got work to do!" Amy turned around and headed towards the arcade with the others in tow. About a block from the arcade the four girls slipped into an alley and transformed. Walking into the arcade they were stopped by the chief inspector. "What do you think your doing here? This is police business." Mars closed her eyes. "Evil forces were here." She opened her eyes and looked at the Inspector. "It seems this is a Senshi matter, so if you and your men could leave..." "I don't think so Red. It may be that Sailor Moon is responsible for this." "WHAT?" four voices said. "She left a note." The Inspector stated smugly. Sailor Mercury stepped forward, "May I inspect it." Inspector looked at her, "Don't see why not. Here!" Mercury pulled her visor down as the others read the note over her shoulder. "It's fraudulent...a fake!" Mercury said. The Inspector's mouth dropped open, "How can you tell?" Mercury turned her visor off and stated, "The parchment is of no known species encountered on this planet and the ink appears to, well be animate, at least plant-like in nature. Also the script is intelligible and impeccable." "Huh?" The Inspector said, scratching his head. Mercury blushed and Mars translated, "It's too neat to be Sailor Moon's writing." Jupiter looked past Mercury to the counter, "Besides, Sailor Moon was abducted too." They others looked at her as she picked something of the counter. Serena's communicator. "That's Sailor Moon's she left it as a clue." The Inspector looked at it, "That thing? We've been trying to fingerprint it for an hour. It's also broke." Mercury shook her head, "It only works for Sailor Moon. It's coated to keep her identity a secret. May I ask where you found it?" "Sure, under the second booth." Venus snapped her fingers, "The static." Mercury nodded in agreement. "Thank you Inspector." The Sailor Senshi left the arcade and leaped to the nearest rooftop. "It appears we shouldn't have dismissed Serena's call so quickly." Mercury stated. Jupiter balled her fist, "Damn" Venus seconded the statement. Mars looked at Mercury, "The question is: How do we go about finding her?" Mercury shook her head, "I don't know! But Luna and Artimus might." The Senshi left to find their guardians. Serena woke up and looked about the room. It was very dark, no light entered at all. Feeling around she managed to locate a door with bars on the window. She tugged at the bars with all her might, Nothing. A voice came from behind and startled her, "It's no use Meatball head, the won't budge. I already tried." Darien stated. Serena sighed, "I know but I thought I'd try. Are the others awake yet?" Coming up behind her, "No not yet, but they're fine. How are you?" How am I? Serena frowned, "Alive and unhurt...for now!" I hate being Sailor Moon; this is all my fault. A tear slid from her eye and she quickly wiped it away. "How are you?" Darien heard the fear in her voice and reached over to hug her, "I fine, don't worry we'll find some way to get out of here, I promise." "Don't get me wrong, it's about time, but can't you two find a better time to make out?" Andrew asked coming up behind them. "AACCKK!!" Serena screamed and jumped out of Darien's grasp. Molly giggled and Serena went to check on her. Darien glared at Andrew, "If we get out of this alive, you are so dead, soda jerk!" Andrew could feel his anger in the darkness, "Chill out Darien. It was rather cute, if you ask me." Darien looked in the direction Serena went, "I didn't." Andrew lowered his voice, "What's the chance of getting out of here?" Darien sighed, "If the scouts show up, great. If they don't..." Darien's voice trailed off and Andrew shivered. "That bad huh?" Darien silently nodded. "They want Sailor Moon, right?" Molly asked. "Yeah." Serena said. "We'll be ok right?" Sammy asked. "Of course, The Sailor Senshi will come and save us." I hope they found the communicator. Serena thought. I don't think I can save everyone by my self. "So Serena, What's with you and Darien?" Molly asked slyly. Serena blushed, "Molly!" She hissed. "Not so loud. Ya want the whole world to find out?" "Find out what Meatball head?" Darien whispered coming up behind her. "Nothing, nothing at all. Why would we be discussing you anyway?" Serena slapped her forehead. Smooth. Darien smiled, I should remember to thank Zoicite, just before I kill her. "We maybe here for a while, so we may as well get to know each other." Melvin suggested. Everyone sat down and prepared for a long night. "Mercury have you found them yet?" Luna yelled as they ran through the city. "Almost. They're still in Tokyo. But narrowing it down is very complicated." Mars ran for all she was worth. If anything happens to Serena I'll never forgive myself. They stopped near the waterfront. "Mercury, anything?" Jupiter asked. "I'm trying!" Mercury screamed. Venus stepped in and comforted Mercury, "Relax and take your time. Remember: Pour and steady, then close the case!" Artimus rolled his eyes, "Slow and steady wins the race!" Venus glared, "That's what I said. Question: Does anyone feel sorry for the Negaverse?" Five pairs of eyes turned to stare at her, "What?" Mars asked. Venus dragged her foot across the pavement, "I was just thinking, you know, locking Serena and Darien together...in the same room...it's bound to start WW3. Don't ya think?" Jupiter smiled, "Yeah, unless they figure out they like each other, then I pity the others." They all laughed at the picture that brought up. Mercury went back to typing on her computer, "I found them! They're several miles away, let's go!" Together they bounded in the direction Mercury pointed. Hold on Serena, we're coming! Mars silently prayed.
