The debut of Moonflower (a.k.a. Sailor Eclipse) ::Looks around at many blank faces:: Don't rememeber me? Probably not, I haven't released anything in a long time... ^_^ Though, if you guys think this is good, I might send out some other fics! *********************************************************************** I Corinthians 13:4-7 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in inquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. *********************************************************************** I Knew I Loved You *********************************************************************** Usagi walked down the narrow sidewalk and pulled her thin jacket around her. It wasn't snowing, but it was cold enough to snow, and Usagi had been hoping it would. It didn't matter now. Nothing mattered. She had seen the dissapointment in the others eyes after their last battle with a youma. She didn't want to think about it. It hurt so much. None of them had critized her... not even Mars, but she had seen the dissapointment nonetheless. Tuxedo Kamen had not shown up in time and Sailormoon had been hurt, her vision had been blurred and she didn't see the civilian near the tree. Thanks to Sailormoon he had been hurt and was now fighting for his life. 'How ironic.' she thought 'I'm supposed to protect people not hurt them.' And a tear rolled down her cheek as she continued on her way to the hospital. She passed a small cafe and went inside, hoping that maybe somehow she could get her mind off the accident. It was useless. Sighing, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a piece of paper. On it was written: Furuhata Motoki. It was him... Motoki... he'd so often helped her with Sailor V and given her good advice... and now he could die, because of her. A small sob escaped her as she bow her head cried silently. "Odango?" She looked up into his eyes sharply, suprised. "Go away, Mamoru-baka!" She was in no mood for him. And more tears fell as her thoughts returned to the looks of the other senshi. "Usagi-chan, please tell me what's wrong... I won't tease you." he said with unmasked concern in his eyes and voice. * * * Maybe it's intution Somethings you just don't question Like in your eyes I see my future in an instant And there it goes I think I've found my best friend I know that it might sound more than a little crazy but I believe * * * "No, you wouldn't understand. Now, if you'll excuse me I have to go." She said as she got up, leaving her hot chocolate untouched. Mamoru didn't take the hint and followed her. Outside, he grabbed her wrist and she started at the warm feeling of his hand. "Why are you following me?" she demanded. "Because, you're obviously are upset and I'm not letting you go until you are okay!" "Why?" It was a simple question, but Mamoru couldn't answer it. What are possessed him to try to comfort the odango? And when she resisted, he had persued her! Usagi... of all people. Pushing the thoughts aside he looked down at her to see her returning his gaze. "I don't know. I guess I just have a thing for odangos!" He said with a small smile, attempting to lighten the mood. "And how many of those do you have?" She snapped and turning on her heel walked away from him. Honestly, she didn't know of anything that caused her to act that way towards Mamoru, except the fact she was stressed. And shamefully realized that in her anger, she had walked the wrong way and was now walking away from the hospital. Sighing, she turned around and saw Mamoru standing there. There was no way to get to the hospital without walking back towards him. Reluctantly, she walked towards him and stopped about 3 feet away from him, and couldn't help but to admire how handsome he was. Shaking her head slightly, she attempted to rid herself of the thought. It could be dangerous things. "I'm sorry for snapping at you. I... I'm just stressed." "It's alright, Usagi-chan, I shouldn't have teased you. Friends?" He held out his hand, and she accepted it, smiling. "Friends. Mamoru-kun? Would you mind coming with me? "If you want me to. Where are you headed?" "The hospital." "The hospital... why?" "A friend of mine was injured in a youma attack. You probably, know him... Furuhata Motoki is his name. That's what was bothering me I wanna make sure he's okay." 'Well, it isn't totally a lie, but there's no way I can tell him that I'm Sailormoon.' "Yeah, I do know him, but I didn't know he was in a youma attack! Let's go find him." 'Of course I wasn't at the last youma attack. I was in the shower. Sailormoon dusted it though... didn't she?' Usagi and Mamoru walked in silence until they reached the front desk of the hospital. "What room is Furuhata Motoki in?" "Room 561" "Thank you." Mamoru noticed that the closer the room, the more slowly Usagi walked and her reached for her hand to reassure her, but was caught off guard when a gentle warmth flowed though him and he gently squeezed it. Usagi looked up into this eyes, and knew what it was like to drown. "Come on, let's go." He managed to force out despite his clumsy tongue. Mamoru had had an urge to kiss her, and not just a peck on the cheek either... no he wanted to really kiss her. Once again he pushed his traitorous thoughts aside and led her toward Motoki's room. As he pushed the door open he saw Motoki lying on the bed, reading a book about... candle-making? Motoki looked up and smiled at them and glanced at their interwined hands, before giving Mamoru a look that said 'I knew you liked her!' "Hi Usagi-chan, Mamoru-kun!" "Motoki-san, are you alright?" Usagi asked, coming to stand at the bed beside Motoki and leading Mamoru along with her. "Yep! the doctor said I'll only have a couple bruises." Usagi felt her spirits soar, thankful the he would be alright, and she unconsciously squeezed Mamoru's hand tighter. "I just need my rest though." he continued. "Why don't you two go get something to eat?" Mamoru and Usagi both silently thanked Motoki and left the room in search of somthing to eat. As they walked out Usagi breathed a sigh of relief. * * * I knew I loved you before I met you I think I dreamed you into life I knew I loved you before I met you I have been waiting all my life * * * "Where do you want to eat?" Mamoru asked tentatively. "I don't really care, as long as it's private, I don't feel like being near large crowds right now, and I'm kinda tired." She said honestly. Mamoru attempted to racked his brains for places to go, but it was impossible, at a foot-and-a-half she was too close. He could not think straight if his life depended in it. And he didn't want to consider taking her where his first notion was to go. His apartment. No... Mamoru with Usagi at his apartment alone was dangerous. But he was brought back to reality... "Earth to Mamoru-kun, HELLO!!! Are you in there." WHACK Usagi hit him hard, causing him to give a surprised yelp. "What did you do that for?" "Because silly, you were off in a dreamworld, and you simply refused to come back. What else was I suppossed to do?" She asked with a smirk. He smiled gently as the continued to walk in the chilly winter air. "I was just thinking of where we could go." He offered as an rather poor excuse. To tell the truth he had drifted to a make-believe world where he held Usagi, and kissed her, and they cuddled together. And at that moment he wished that he could do that. So being the somewhat brave person was he casually droped a slightly heavy arm over her petite shoulders. She did not resist him. "Did you think of anything? I thought about my house, but my parents aren't home, so Shingo would probably just annoy us." Usagi said suddenly very aware of a weight on her shoulder and the warmth eminating from it. "Who's Shingo?" Mamoru asked. The name sounded familiar. "That's my brother, and he's the biggest pain in the world! Hey! I got an idea, why don't we go to your house?" "I don't know." "Oh." Usagi pouted. There was no way she would get any privacy with Shingo around at her house. Mamoru noticed her pouting and gave in, before leading her down the street to his apartment with his arm still wrapped around her shoulder. Mamoru unlocked the door to his apartment and shut after he and Usagi had stepped inside. "Wow... Mamoru-kun, you really have a nice apartment." She said and with a giggle added, "It's much neater than my room!" Mamoru smiled and headed for the kitchen while she proceeded to look around. In the living room at a mediun sized couch with a small book shelf. Various books lining the shelf and to Usagi they all sounded boring. But until today that's what she had thought of Mamoru. Boring and cold-hearted. But not now. She seen the concern in his eyes when he had asked what was wrong with her and she had seen the concern again when she told him about Motoki. Usagi's entire perspective of him had changed. He was no longer the cold unreachedable college student. He was Mamo-chan, the caring Mamo-chan, though Usagi decided not to call him Mamo-chan. Usagi yawned, she was tired from the fight with the youma and the emotional stress of Motoki getting hurt hadn't helped. She briefly considered laying down, but if she did she would surely fall asleep. So with a brief shake of her head she continued to look arouns Mamoru's living room. Mamoru returned a few minutes later with some noodles and he and Usagi sat down at a small table. Thinking of nothing to say, Usagi began to eat the noodles hungrily, and she found her thoughts returning to Motoki, she knew he would be alright but what if he hadn't? Usagi bit her lower lip, trying not to cry. With a small sigh she took a bite of the noodles and looked up to see Mamoru gazing at her. Their eyes met, and her thoughts of Motoki flew out the door. * * * There's just no rhyme or reason Only a sense of completion and in your eyes I see the missing pieces I'm searching for I think I found my way home I know that it might sound more than a little crazy but I believe * * * Usagi couldn't think about anything except Mamoru until she began to choke on a noodle that she had only half-way swallowed. Gulping she looked down at the table, embarrassed. Breaking out of his own reverie, Mamoru began to chuckle. She was just too cute... staring down at the table and blushing. Usagi heard him chuckle and began to giggle along with him. "Stop laughing at me, Mamo-chan!" Usagi protested as their laughter increased. This time it was Mamoru who choked on the noodle. 'What had she just called him?' He brought his head up sharply and his eyes met hers. Usagi gasped. She had called him Mamo-chan on accident, what would he think of her now? Mamoru finally got the noodle he was choking on the slide down his throat, though he was unable to come up with a single word to say. "Gomen, Mamoru-kun... I didn't mean... I just..." Usagi gave up as she couldn't find a rational excuse to offer. The only problem was that sometimes love is irrational, and perhaps the same thought occured to Usagi, because finished with another 'Goman' before excusing herself to the bathroom. Inside the bathroom Usagi slumped down against the wall. How was she suppossed to explain why she had called him Mamo-chan? As soon as Usagi left the room Mamoru let the breath he had been holding out, and slouched down into the chair. He had almost lost it when Usagi had called him 'Mamo-chan'. How he wanted to ravage her lips to his delight. It had taken all his will power to keep him from doing just that. Inhaling slightly, Mamoru decided that he definitly needed to get Usagi out of his apartment before he lost control. Usagi re-entered the room and Mamoru immediately inhaled sharply, she was absolutely stunning. 'Not that she isn't every other day.' a voice in his mind nagged, and Mamoru had to admit it was correct. Giving her weak smile her moved from his chair closer to her. "Usagi? Would you care to go for a walk?" Mamoru questioned. Usagi eagerly nodded her head, thankful that he hadn't brought up the Mamo-chan subject. Usagi quickly slipped on her shoes that she had disgarded when they had first entered, and together they walked out into the cold night. "Would you like me to take you home?" Mamoru asked. "No." Was the only answer he recieved as they walked down the sidewalk towards the park. * * * I knew I loved you before I met you I think I dreamed you into life I knew I loved you before I met you I have been waiting all my life * * * Together Usagi and Mamoru reached Juuban park and sat quietly on a bench. Usagi felt something cold on her left arm, but saw nothing and disgarded the insignificant thought. She felt it again except this time it was on her nose. Suddenly, Usagi's breath caught in her throat. It was snowing! With a giggle she got off the bench and laid down in the snow as she began to create a snow angel. The snow which was now steadily coming down was cool and soft beneathe her small body and she felt exhilerated. Mamoru looked down as the white snowflakes danced around Usagi's body, coating her hair a silver color as it lay next to her on the ground. He leaned far over so that had he leaned any farther, he would have fallen directly on top of Usagi. Smiling, he picked up a satiny ponytail coming from one of her odangos and examined it. Usagi looked up at him wondering exactly what he was doing, running his fingers thought her her. WAIT! No! He was taking out her odangos. After Mamoru finished his task, he sat back up and gazed down at Usagi, who had finished her snow angel long ago. The girl who now was without odangos sat up and attempted to look angry at him for taking her hair down. But with it was simply not possible, and she finally gave up with a smile. Dark blue eyes and light blue eyes met as Mamoru moved down into the snow next to Usagi. When finally sat next to her their eyes never parted as they moved towards each other. But before their lips could meet, reality caught up with Mamoru and he backed away. Usagi was only 16 and he was 20. Letting out a dejected sigh, Usagi picked up some snow and let it drizzel though her slim fingers. It should have been obvious to Mamoru that Usagi was sprung over him, but love is blind and the fear of rejection he had aquired during his childhood prevented him from telling Usagi of his feelings for her. He loved her. * * * A thousand angels dance around you I am complete now that I found you * * * Usagi felt like crying, it was obvious Mamoru didn't care for her in the same way that she cared about him. Her bottom lip began to quiver as a tear ran down her face. "Usagi-chan, what's wrong?" No answer. "Usako! Please tell me!" he pressed. Her head snapped up. Mamoru had just called her the name she had wanted to hear all day. So why in the world did she feel only a little warmth from it? But deep in her heart, she knew. Usagi wanted so much more with Mamoru just to be his friend. Smiling slightly, she looked up at him. "Usako?" she questioned. "Yes, Usako... I understand you may not feel the way about me as I feel about you... but Usako... I'm in love with you." "You do?" she managed to squeak out. "Yes, I don't wan't to ruin our friendship--" Mamoru never got to finish because had jumped onto his lap. Shaking his as if to clear it, he looked down at her and smiled. * * * I knew I loved you before I met you I think I dreamed you into life I knew I loved you before I met you I have been waiting all my life * * * Finally, he gave up to his heart and brushed their lips together. Usagi was in heaven. She could hardly believe that Mamoru actually loved her! And she loved him! Mamoru pressed their cold lips together, but this time with a fervent passion that left Usagi in a daze as he plunged his tongue ruthlessly into her mouth, taking his time as he explored every space. Usagi did not protest when Mamoru's warm hands which had previously been on her waist slid up the back of her shirt, and Usagi pulled herself against him, feeling him stiffen and then relaxed as her legs stradelled his waist and kissed down her neck and the upper part of her chest that was exposed. Moving back to her lips he ravaged them slowly with his own, before pulling back completely. "Aishiteru, Usako." "Aishiteru, Mamo-chan." *********************************************************************** The End *********************************************************************** Lemme know what you thought! I know I horrible at writing kissing scenes, forgive me. I've never actually heard this song before but I found the words on the internet, and thought they'd be great for a fic.
