Just Another Saturday In TokyoPart ThreeBy Klutzwww.lunap.com He was dreaming a short while latter of a jar, high on a shelf and all locked up. It was on the edge though, and kept teetering towards the edge where a calming ocean lay. He was the jar, and the ocean seemed deliciously inviting. All he had to do was unscrew the lid and let it fall in… "OOOF!" Well, if falling off a barstool isn't a good wake-up call, I don't know what is. Darien blinked, again, then stood up, dusted himself off and peeked into the other room where Serena was still asleep on the couch, her long hair spread over the blanket and small pillow, trailing onto the floor. Her chest rose and fell in a slow, rhythmical beat showing that she was asleep. He smiled. She looked so sweet like that, like sleeping beauty or snow white, waiting for her prince. 'Prince? I'm supposed to remember something, what is it?' He shook his head. Too many strange things had happened today, and he needed to accept it all, but, there was so much information filling his head. 'She's not just Serena anymore, and she's not meatball head anymore… I don't think she was supposed to be Sailor Moon, and not a Princess. All of this is so horribly wrong, who should she be?' he wondered. 'She shouldn't have to fight.' A hand reached out and brushed some of the hair from her face gently, of its own accord. 'She should be living a normal life as a normal person, a perfectly normal teenager. But she isn't.' He sighed and kneeled next to the couch. "Serena, come on Serena you should wake up now." He said quietly. No response. 'Why am I waking her up anyway? It's mid-afternoon and she has lots of time, which she needs to rest, to gain back all that energy she spent.' He thought for a moment, then lay one hand flat on her forehead and concentrated on peaceful thoughts. A few moments latter he felt a little bit weaker and his hand tingled, but her sleepy eyes opened slowly, becoming brighter and more awake. She felt fine, better than she had in awhile. There was none of the usual fatigue from fighting. Darien drew back his hand and took a deep breath. He had never done that before. "Darien?" she asked, sitting up. He looked paler now, but not seriously so. "I'm okay." He breathed, and stood up to sit down in a chair opposite the couch, kicking off his shoes and sliding his feet up onto a small table. "Just a little drained." Serena set her feet down on the floor and rested her hands in her lap. "I… I don't feel weak, like I usually do… What did you do?" she asked. He gave her a weak smile. "I just gave you some energy. It's no big deal." He replied, closing his eyes. "No big- ?" she was cut off by three voices. "Serena, are you in here?" Raye called out. "They should be, Darien said he would be here with her." Lunareplied. "According to my computer, there are two living entities within a close proximity." Pause. You could almost *hear * Ami blush. "They're in the back room." "Oh, okay, lets go!" The door was open before Serena could finish her sentence, and Ami Raye and Luna hopped into the room. "Hey guys, hope you didn't get to bored waiting for us!" Raye exclaimed, plopping down on the floor near Serena's feet. Ami sat down on the other side, and Luna climbed into Serena's lap. Serena stroked her fur absently. "No actually, I just woke up now." Serena replied. She was angry that she couldn't finish her conversation with Darien. Where had he learned to do that? She would have to thank him somehow too, but she didn't want to bring anything up in front of the others. She didn't know if he was okay with them knowing yet. "The first thing we need to know…" The meeting went on for a short while, the girls discussed the enemy's next move and when they would train, a few things about the new soldiers whom Luna had said the Central had told her would appear soon. But finally, there was nothing left to say, and the others left. Darien shifted tiredly in his chair and let his eyelids droop. Serena watched silently from the doorway as his breathing slowed. He was asleep. She picked the blanket up off the couch and draped it over him, brushing his bangs away from his eyes. "Sleep." She whispered, then left the room. Darien was dreaming again. He seemed to dream a lot lately. He dreamt he was dressed as Tuxedo Mask again, hopping from rooftop to rooftop, finally landing in a tree, near an open window on a two-story house of Cherry Hill. Inside the room was dark, except for a square of light that fell on the angelic face of the girl, fast asleep in herbed. "Goodnight Rena, sweet dreams." He whispered. The girl smiled in her sleep and he was gone. Darien awoke to a soft humming in the other room. He stretched, noticing the blanket for the first time. Smiling, he smelled it then folded it back up over the back of the couch. It smelled like her. He smiled again, then walked to the door and peeked through silently. Serena was playing Sailor V again, but she had managed to turn off the volume, so as not to wake him up. She forgot, or didn't notice, however, that she was humming the Sailor V theme while she played. Darien opened the door wider and leaned against the frame. He felt much better now, fully up to speed. She was just so _cute _ sitting there like that, with her tongue peeking out of the corner of her mouth, her face fully concentrated on the game. 'You can't help but love that girl, she's so sweet and caring to everyone, adorable, like a little bunny…' Smiling, he walked slowly up behind her and glanced at the screen. She was doing well, better than yesterday. 'The food level, it figures.' His smile became a smirk for a minute before returning to a soft smile. Waiting until after she died, he placed a hand on her shoulder. "Hey 'Rena, are you busy? There were a few things I wanted to ask you while the other weren't around." He asked softly. Her cheeks became slightly rosy for a moment he thought before she stood and smiled. "No, I think we can talk now." She walked over and sat down at the counter again. "What was it you wanted to talk to me about?" He sat down on the stool next to her. "Well, from what I heard earlier, we're looking for… Endymion, is that his name? But who is Endymion?" he asked at her nod. Serena's eyes went a bit starry and she dazed out a bit, smiling sweetly. "Endymion… he's my prince, my knight in shinning armor, fiancée at one point. Probably would be again if we could just find him. I think Queen Serenity knows who he is, but she isn't saying. He appears to me in dreams sometimes, asking me to find him, but I never can see his face. Just flashes of armor, a few memories that fade so fast I'm not sure they were ever there… It's hard." She replied extensively. He nodded. Was it possible to be in love with a dream? She didn't seem like she was in love, it sounded more like she just longed to be with someone who cared about her like her Endymion once did. He sighed. Serena. Beautiful, but so far away. 'WHAT?!?!?!? Don't think like that Dare!' 'Can't help it, I'm already gone.' "So you're… the Moon Princess right?" He asked. "Was. I was the Moon Princess, but that's my past. Right now I just want to live to see the next day." She replied. "Ah, that makes sense. I wonder who I was…" Darien's mind drifted over several possibilities, and decided he must have been a guard for her. After all, that's what he had done today right? Serena snorted. "Ha! You were probably the guy who cleaned my horse up for me!" she laughed. Darien grinned. A sparring match, just what they both needed! "Actually Serena, I think I was your personal guard. I'm way to brave to be a stable-boy!" he pretended to preen arrogantly. She hit him lightly on the back of his head, laughing. "PuhI-lease! Maybe you set out food at the banquettes!" "And maybe I was your personal guard, ever thought of that?" "..." 0_0. Serena looked blank for a moment. "...That, actually, seems right. Hm, personal guard. I wonder..." She shook her head. "I dunno Darien, that doesn't seem quiet right. I'll ask mom sometime latter. She probably won't answer me but... oh well. Anyways, I'm hungry!" Darien grinned. There was the old Rena he remembered! "Well, I'll treat you to a sundae, how's that sound?" he offered. Serena gave him a quick hug. "That'd be great Darien, thank you so much!" Darien froze for a moment, then managed to hug her back, reveling in the feel of her soft skin beneath his hands. But they both pulled back. "Um, alright..." Darien stuck a five in the cash and got out a bowl, scoop, two spoons, and pulled Andrew's apron on. "So what would you like in this?" "Umm... vanilla ice cream... 3 scoops... one scoop chocolate... some chocolate syrup... gummi bears... ohh, chocolate chips... fudge sauce... oh, some of those little things over there and..." "Rena, I think that's all we can fit on this one, the bowl's going to over-flow!" Darien cut in. Serena looked a bit guilty. "Alright, lets eat then!" Darien laughed and brought the bowl and two spoons around, handing her one of them, before taking a bite. "MM, it's good meatball head!" Serena nodded, but didn't say anything because her mouth was already full of icecream. They sat there in moderate silence, eating away happily for a good fifteen minutes before the bowl was empty. Darien pushed the bowl away and leaned back on his stool, letting his knees hit the counter to keep him from falling. "Ugh. Remind me never to eat that much icecream that fast ever again meatball head." "The name's Serena, Darien. "Fine Rena." "Why have you been calling me 'Rena lately anyways? I noticed that..." she says questioningly. "Hm? Oh, it just suits you. Besides, we're friends now, aren'twe 'Rena?" "Hm... I guess so. But, I don't really know anything about you." 'Except that you're a drop dead gorgeous guy who's only like two years older than me, with that killer body... erk! Serena, stop thinking like that!' 'I can't help it! Besides, he called me Rena again, and I just feel like melting into a puddle of goo!' "Rena, are you okay? You look a little out of it!" Darien asked, leaning forward and placing a hand on her forhead. Their faces were a mere two inches apart, Serena opened her eyes and froze. 'He's so close... What's happening to me?' 'Please please please let this go through... No interuptions or I'll seriously kill someone...' Darien inched closer... To be continued! HA!
