Title: Love At Second Sight: Chapter Two Rated: Pg Author: Rena Shields E-Mail: Kylara21@Hotmail.com AN: Hello, everyone! Sorry it took so long for this chapter to comeout, I kinda slacked off. I didn't know what to write!!! Major case ofwriter's block, but please forgive me! I figured someone MUST be mad at me whenI received no more letters, so I got this one out in a hurry! Anyway,I'd like to thank W. Byemeeh for constantly telling me I should get this on the computer (I wrote this in my notebook) and Jessica L. (You know who youare, Jess!) for praising me on my story. When Jessica gets out her ownstory, I suggest you read it. However, she doesn't have a pen name yet so we'llsee. It's very cute though! If she ever gets it out then I'll just put itin more loooong AN's like this, now I better shut up before you just think, isthis writer crazy or insane, can't decide. To the story! Disclaimer: I don't own Sailor Moon, I'm just obsessed with it. Likeall of us fanfic writers. Don't sue me, I don't think you want a verybattered backpack and ten cents (oops, make that two), so it's not worth it. *************************************************************************** Darien sat awestruck, pretending to read a history book. Pretending, because he was really watching the goddess sitting next tohim. Serena. Serena was calmly sitting there, deftly pulling and tightening her hair as she re-did her "meatballs". She looked calm, but her red face betrayed her. Many, um, OBSERVANT, shall we say, guys in the class hadbeen catcalling at her, and she was still blushing. At least, that's whathe thought . . . Serena grinned a little as she put up her hair. She couldn't believeall those guys had been catcalling at HER! After all, Serena didn't thinkshe was pretty; Raye, Ami, Lita, and Mina were pretty. She was just theditz of the group. However, not even the catcalls turned her as red as she wasnow until she had seen . . . Darien. With his mouth open. His chin an inch away from the floor. Looking like he was going to faint. Needless to say, she didn't think that her aloof, cold, and utterly annoying classmate would be drooling just because she looked a little different than usual. No way. She shook her head. 'Don't let yourmind get off track! Luna told me my mission: Protect the earth! Find theprincess! Now stick to it! The moon princess is a lot more important thanDarien. . .' *************************************************************************** Serena, forgetting that she had numerous detentions, picked up her things and raced off. She didn't even notice the pale look Darien had on his face. Nope, she had a scout meeting. Those were much less confusing than Darien. (AN: I decided to have Serena be a little more responsible. Notice she puts the scouts above everything. ) Darien felt a little lightheaded as he lifted his briefcaseover his shoulder. It wasn't possible that Serena could be so ditzy onemoment and then so angelic the next. He didn't like the direction this wasgoing. He knew that he was meant for the girl in his dreams; not this girl. After all, she was nothing special . . . 'Oh yes she is, Darien, and youknow it too,' said an annoying little voice in his head. 'You've liked Serenafor a while now, you just didn't know it. So blind, that when her beauty hityou head on you were nearly knocked unconscious!' Darien silently said,'Shut up' and the little voice was silenced. For awhile. 'Before I go, Darien, since I am you, you might as well spyon her secretly. You may be destined for someone else, but you can stilldream of Serena in the meantime. A perfect opportunity would be that posterthat was just put up . . .' ***************************************************************************** Outside, Serena was just about to leave the school when a bright, cheery orange paper caught her eye. October 31, 1999 Friday night, Halloween 6:30-midnight Serena's eyes widened in delight. A band contest at the dance?!?! This could mean the Guardian's big break! She tore the flier off the walland then looked up at the school clock. 4:30? A whirl of dust was all that was left, but a dying echo could be heard:"IT FIGURES THE ONE DAY I'M ON TIME SOMETHING DISTRACTS ME!!!!" *** So, what do you think of it? Terrible? Wonderful? Stupid?
