This story takes place in the R series.But if you guys don't like the
Serena-Darien relationship,this is not the way to go.

        Laughter filled the air as two girls, all of nine years old
rode by on their bicycles."Serena I bet you can't catch me!" shrieked
the young girl with golden hair and had eyes of the most unusual jade
green."I bet I can Nia!" Serena,a girl with golden blonde hair and blue
eyes the color of the night sky,yelled back.She started to speed
up,until she saw where Nia was headed and shrieked "NIA!"* * *
Serena shot up in bed,sweat pouring down her face and tears falling
from her eyes unchecked."Nia,why did you have to leave me?"she
whispered."We miss you." with that,she burst into sobs,climbed out of
bed and walked to her closet,grabbed her coat and jumped down from her
window softly.She knew where her body was taking her before she even
thought about it.She stopped in the middle of the grave yard,looking
for a familiar tombstone.She saw one with the name  'Nia Melissa
Tsukino,1985-1994' She knelt down,once again crying, and started
whispering softly," Nia." 'We miss you.'She felt a tightening in her
breast,a lump in her throat as she struggled for breath.Struggled
against the pain.She laid her fingers lightly on the tombstone,tracing
her name as tears threatened to burst from her once again.She hated the
feeling inside her,wished it would go away and not bother her
again,that she could turn her emotions on and off like faucets.Of
course hers would always be off.But no,Serena would always feel this
pain,this deep since of loss.
No,Serena Tsukino would always mourn her precious friend,the only one
Serena could trust most.She would always mourn the loss of her belovedsister.
There was the sound of a twig snapping behind her and she whirled
around,in a fighting position,only for her eyes to make contact with a
pair of surprised ocean blue ones

Darien was walking through the graveyard his parents had been buried
in,for reasons god only knew why.Suddenly he heard a soft voice
whispering,then heard the sounds of sobs coming from the right of
him.He looked up to see a small frame shaking with sobs.It was
obviously a girl,with thick long blonde hair.He made a move to walk
toward her,when she whirled around,arms akimbo,ready for battle to
whoever had dared to bother her.Then he got a good look at her tear
stained cheeks and familiar sky blue eyes."SERENA!!" 
She looked away, back at the other tombstones,remembering the last time
someone screamed to her,but not like this,the voice was screaming forhelp.

"SEEERENA!!!"
The sounds of car horns and screeching tires,the sound of ambulances
and police sirens.

A tear made its way down her cheek,then another,until she was sobbing
once again.Darien stood there dumbfounded by this display of
emotion,while he couldn't even cry a tear for his parents."Serena…"He
whispered longingly.He didn't mean to say it outloud,and was relieved
when Serena didn't hear it.He  walked over to her,went down to his
knees and read what was on the tomb stone.Nia?He thought,what a strange
name,and this person must be related to Serena,she has her last
name.Darien,ever so blunt,asked"Serena...who is this person?What
happened to them?"
Serena stiffened,shot up and ran as fast as she could.I can't tell
him,she thought,I can't, I can't,he'd never understand.She could here
his rapid footsteps behind her,and knew he would catch her in do
time.Her eyes shot from side to side quickly,then she knew where to
go.She took a sharp left turn at a nearby tree,intent on her
destination,when she heard an "oof!" behind her,and she giggled despite
herself.She knew exactly what had happened.
                               He had run face first into the old
oaktree she turned at.
