Hi, minna! I can't believe all the rave reviews I have gotten over this story! That is SO cool! Thanks to everyone on the SMRFF list, it seems that alot of you liked it, so now I can write the next part! Thanks also goes out to Sidnei, Ely-chan, Ropa-chan, and Mako-chan, for all their encouragement and compliments. Finally, I must admit something to my public. I do not own Sailor Moon, and the true thanks goes out to Naoko Takeuchi for inventing Sailor Moon. Mamoru's Christmas Ch.1 by: Sailor Starlite jupiterlightning@yahoo.com Usagi's eyes grew wide as they stood in the snow covered tree lot. It looked magical, with snow covering the tops of the trees like a coating of sugar. Mamoru glanced down at her, enchanted by her huge sparkling blue eyes, filled with joy. "Are you ready to pick out a tree, Usagi-chan?" He asked. She nodded, grabbing his hand, and they examined they trees together. They knew they couldn't get a huge one, his apartment was rather small, but the tree they picked would be special just the same. Finally they stopped in front of a minature pine, its branches shaped just the right way for hanging ornaments, the perfect height to fit in his apartment. They got it right away, and then set out to get decorations for it. Usagi was having the time of her life with Mamoru. Christmas with her family had been like this when both her and Shingo were younger, but that had changed in recent years. They made quick stop at Mamoru's apartment to set the tree up and give it water, then went to the store again before it closed to get the ornaments. They ended up going to several different places before they got enough to fit on the tree. Usagi laughed at the mismatched collection they had. When they had started back, the snow was falling quickly, and they hurried into the apartment with the supplies, eager to get into a nice warm building compared to the chill of the winter air. Mamoru started some hot chocolate, while Usagi started to put a few ornaments on the tree. Mamoru stayed in the kitchen for awhile, debating what he felt for the young girl. She had totally turned around his usual Christmas. He wondered, briefly, if this could become a tradition for them, and he smiled at the thought of doing this every year with her. Usagi's thoughts wandered to the man in the kitchen, and she could hardly believe the feelings she got around him. It wasn't just his looks that attracted her, it was his personality, and his kindess. Look how he offered to give up his free time to give her a little happiness and companionship on Christmas. She wished she could do this every yearwith him. Mamoru finally came back onto the room, holding the drinks in his hands. He saw Usagi staring off into space, an ornament held in her hand forgotten. He put the drinks down and went over to her, gently touching her shoulder. "Usagi-chan?" She turned around quickly, and blushed. He wondered briefly about that, but shook it off. "I have your hot cocca, and I see you already started on the tree without me!" He grinned at her. She lookd down and then blushed a deeper red. Here he was, inviting her to his place for a Christmas together, being a good *friend*, and she was daydreaming about kissing him, and then acting like he wasn't there! He sensed her unease, and put his arm around her. "Usagi-chan, I was just teasing you. I love what you did to the tree so far. But it needs a little...tinsel!" He shouted, and tossed a handful of the silver strands on her head. She gasped as some of the strands slid down the back of her shirt, feeling like someone put ice cubes down there. She retaliated by tossing some at him, and soon an all-out tinsel war was in progress. Some managed to get actually on the tree, when they both realized what they forgot. "LIGHTS!" Mamoru trudged through the thick piles of snow, grinning. "I can't believe *you* forgot the lights!" Usagi shoved at him, almost knocking him into the snow. "Me? I thought YOU already had them in the bag! How was I supposed to know that you forgot them?" He shoved at her, and she fell over, landing in a huge drift of snow. He started to laugh at her until a huge snowball hit him. Usagi laughed at the look on Mamoru's face, right before he pelted her with a snowball. They didn't notice the crowd gathering around the laughing pair. Finally, Usagi managed to knock him down, but not before he grabbed her by the waist, bringing her down with him. They didn't notice the lady selling mistletoe, or how they managed to land right underneath the basket..... Usagi turned a furious shade of pink when she saw the looks on everyone's faces at her and Mamoru's predicament. He quickly sat up, edging away from the basket, hoping that nobody would notice. He liked Usagi, but didn't want to ruin a newly formed friendship like this. He didn't know what she would think. He looked down at her, and she seemed to be contemplating something seriously. He wondered at the intense look on her face before she jumped him, kissing him soundly on the lips. Usagi saw the mistletoe, and saw the perfect opprutunity. She knew she would regret it later on, especially when he turned her away in disgust, but she knew that this would be something she had to do, before she lost her courage. Gathering up the last of it, she kissed Mamoru soundly on the lips, barely noticing the crowd when he started to kiss back.......Okay, minna! The second part is done.....
