Konbanwa, minna! Since peps wanted this out, I thought I would actually work on this. ^_^ Sailor Moon does not belong to me, but to Naoko Takecuhi-sama. Anyways, on to the fic.... Mamoru's Christmas Chapter Three by:Sailor Starlite Mamoru felt like heaven had grabbed him when he started to feel Usagi kiss him. They finally drew away from eachother, blushing, but with contented smiles on their faces. They finally got the lights, and began stringing them on the tree, so that it could be complete. When they had put the last strand on, Mamoru turned the lights off and they stared at the tree in silence. Usagi thought it was beautiful, but only because it was something that her and Mamoru worked on together. She remembered what it had felt like to kiss him, and she wondered if she could work up the courage to kiss him again. There was no mistletoe this time.... Mamoru looked down at the girl beside him, and wished that he had bought the whole basketfull of mistletoe to use as an excuse to kiss Usagi. Of course, maybe now he didn't need an excuse.... Usagi had the same idea and both of them moved closer to eachother, wanting to be as close to eachother as possible. Mamoru reached for Usagi at the same time that she reached for him..... Their lips met gently at first, and then built up to a kiss full of pure love and tenderness for eachother. Usagi was breathless when they finally pulled away. "Mamoru-kun, I'll be right back..." She muttered quickly. He nodded, and when she was out of the room, he set up his CD player to turn on at a certain time. He wanted to surprise her. Usagi stared at her reflection in the mirror, trying to collect her thoughts about Mamoru. There was no doubt in her mind that she was head over heels in love with him. She could tell everytime they looked at eachother. She washed her hands and then walked out of the bathroom, and was met by Mamoru holding out his hand to her, and as if on cue, the CD player came on with a soft waltz. She melted in his arms. It felt so right to be in his arms, dancing away to the music, a music that seemed intended for the both of them. Mamoru leaned his lips near her ear. "Usagi-chan? Did you ever hear of the legend of the Moon Princess?" He whispered. Usagi pulled away from him for a moment and looked into his eyes, intrested. "No, Mamoru-kun. What about it?" She asked. He led her ovr to the couch, and she leaned her head on his shoulder, relaxing as he started the story. "Well, a long time ago, the Earth was ruled by one person, one kingdom. There was a prince of the Earth, Endymion, and one Christmas, he was walking by the moonlit lake when he saw a beautful vision sitting by the water. Now he was intrigued, because no one lived out this way, and it was very cold outside, and she was all alone. He walked up to her, and asked of her of her name. She replied it was Serenity. He saw the she had been crying, and offered comfort the best way he could, first by asking her what made her so sad......." Usagi felt hypnotized by the lulling sound of his voice and his hand lightly stroking her hair. Serenity looked up at the man with water filled eyes. "I lost my way from home, sir, and I am all alone this Christmas. I can not go back until the moon is full again." Tears fell from her eyes, and she turned back to look at the moonlight shining on the lake, when a hand fell on her shoulder. "Would you mind being in my company tonight then, lady? I, too, am far from home and alone this holiday." Serenity couldn't believe her ears, and she gratefully threw herself into his arms, happy beyond words. "And so Serenity spent that Christmas with Endymion, and for as often as she could, she made it a point to visit him whenever she saw him lonely. And so the legend goes that whenever Serenity senses her Prince is lonely, she finds a way to him and they find happiness together." Usagi was awed by the story. She shyly looked up at him. "It almost sounds like our situation, Mamoru. We both were lonely, and we found eachother." He smiled softly at that, and Usagi felt her heart melt at that one look. They leaned towards eachother again, and softly kissed. After a while, they broke away from eachother, realizing the day had been long, and they both were tired. They both made up excused about going to sleep, then snuck out of the windows of the room they were staying in to do some *very* last minute Christmas shopping. Wow! Done with Chapter Three!
