Thanks, minna for all your suport! Mamoru's Christams Chapter Three by: Sailor Starlite Mamoru knew of one place that would be open late at night so that he could get a gift for his Usako. And he knew of the perfect one to get her. She had expressed such a delight in the old Christmas story his mother had told him when he was young, that he just knew what he was getting was the perfect gift. Usagi shivered slightly as she made her way down the frozen paths to where she knew the snow-roses were. (IF they dont exsist, then nyah! *sticks out tounge*)There was only one, and she wondered how she could bring this to Mamoru. She didn't want to end its fragile life, then she spotted the forozen lake glimmering in the moonlight, and had the perfect idea. Mamoru started jogging down the street, his precious gift in hand. He hoped Usako would like it. He gently stroked the package, knowing the absolute delicateness of what lay inside. He ran to his house, just barely sneaking in before Usagi. Usagi saw Mamoru sneak in, and she wondered what he had been up to. She glanced at the tree, and was surprised to see a gift laying there, all wrapped. 'Did Mamoru do this?' She wondered. She lay down her own gift, with a note wrapped around the crystalline stem, and then went into the spare bedroom, feeling comforted that Mamoru was nearby, and how much he would enjoy her gift. When Mamoru awoke the next morning, he saw Usagi sitting by the tree, glancing at the gift, looking like a child who had just discovered Christmas. "Can I open it, Mamo-chan?" She asked eagerly. He nodded, and sat down beside her, noticing the small gift laying on the ground. Usagi giggled when he picked up the rose. It was not the snow rose, but she visited a glass-blowers shop, who had made the rose for her. Usagi watched Mamoru's face warily, her own gift forgotten as she stared at him. Mamoru read the small note, and he smiled. "Dear Mamo-chan, I just wanted to tell you how much you mean to me. There is a place by the lake where this rose grows. I ask you to come with me, and perhaps we can share a day of skating. With Love, Usako Mamoru held out his hand to Usagi. "I will, princess. Now, open your gift!" Usagi squealed happily, and open the box gently, pulling out the skating outfit, with the delicate butterfly wings attached to the back. Usagi turned to him in shock. "Mamo-chan...how did you know?" She asked. Mamoru shrugged. "I didn't, Usako. I just thought it was perfect for you. Yo are an angel after all." She blushed at that, and then stood up. "So, shall we go to the ice, my prince?" She asked. He nodded. "Yes, princess." Usagi gently skated around the ice, with Mamoru, feeling complete and whole for once. This only seemed to happen with him, and something about this lake, about this moment, seemed even more perfect. *FLASH* Serenity twirled around the ice, wondering if Mamoru was going to come tonight. She knew that he was alone again, and her heart could NOT let that happen. She felt gentle arms circle around her waist, and she smiled happily. 'Endymion.' *FLASH* Usagi blinked for a moment. SO perhaps there was more to the Moon Princess story. SHe felt arms circle from behind, and she turned to face the owner. "Mamo-chan!" SHe exclaimed. He held her close, and leaned down until their lips brushed aganist eachothers. "I love you, Usako." He whispered. She smiled. "I love you, Mamo-chan." They kissed long and sweetly. When they came from for air, they twirled around the ice some more, the wings on Usagi's costume glittering in the sunlight. "Mamo-chan?" Usagi asked. "DO you still think that the Moon Princess comes to visit her prince at night? I think they are with eachother right now, dancing on the ice as we are." Mamoru smiled and held his angel closer. "Maybe so, Usako, but you are the only Moon Angel that I want. And I'm glad I got you for Christmas." THE END! Sorry if the ending sucked! E-mail me at jupiterlightning@yahoo.com
