Meant to be Together, Forever By: Angel Chapter one Rating: PG Note: There will be some romance in this chapter!! Yea!! That was weird... huh? Anyway... bear with me please... I am never very good with first chapters, but I swear! I have a good plot and it will get better, if you don't think it is good. Disclaimers: number one... I do not own Sailor Moon; I am merely borrowing the characters. Number two... for those who had weak stomachs; I am now going to supply you with a short summery of what happened in the prologue. In the beginning of the prologue Usagi is trapped with three people in the basement of a house. There is a youma who plastered them against the wall with this kind of sticky substance. Instead of the youma taking their energy, it eats the people (mainly teenagers) alive, and it used different methods for two people it already ate. It describes the painful death of one teenager and how it gets ready to kill Usagi... it creates some kind of freezing snowstorm (no I did not copy off of the cartoon version on Toonami) and slowly tries to freeze Usagi to death. But then the police or a special squad arrived and Usagi was saved, because the youma took off, and obeyed his master's wishes. You would actually have to read the prologue to know what I am talking about, and it's a lot more interesting that this description. Here is the last line I wrote in the prologue... ''Usagi sighed, and then she cried in despair, despair for what she did not know... it was probably because she knew it was not over, for good.'' Alright... I have to stop babbling... I want a lot of feedback... any comments, and or suggestions. If it is bad that is okay, if you think that I am a sucky writer that's okay, also... I just want your comments about my story. All right, I bet you anything that I have bored you so now... on with the show! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Meant to be Together, Forever Chapter: 1 "I still don't understand Ami. Why would the Negaforce try to kill some kids instead of taking their energy? It just doesn't make any sense." Rei was confused. So was everyone else. "I know that Rei... it doesn't make any sense. My computer can't pick anything up on them, or any new technology that they may be using." Ami replied. "What do you mean by... new technology?" Usagi asked suspiciously. The five girls sat on Rei's stoop outside of the temple, where they usually have their scout meetings. "For example Usagi-baka," Ami had interrupted Rei before she could go ahead and insult Usagi again. "Usagi," Ami said loudly. "What I mean is that if the Negaforce had any new technology to throw us off of our mission, or to distract us in any way my computer would be able to pick it up. Luna has a complete lock on the Negaforce at all times so that if anything like that were to happen we would be able to counter attack them if we needed to." Ami had to try and put this in a way that Usagi would be able to understand. It was nothing new though. Everyone fell silent all of a sudden. There were no more movements of any kind, the air was still, and birds were silent. But what was creepy about it was that even in the deafening silence you would think that you would hear some kind of far off noise. Like the hum of a car or the bell of an ice cream man's truck, but there was none. There was no dog barking fiercely at a cat up in a tree, and there was no commotion in the air at all. There was no sound at all, absolutely silence, until Minako-chan burped loud enough to shake the walls of the temple. There, again, was the deafening silence. That's when Usagi snickered. It cracked everyone up after that, and soon Rei-chan was on the floor laughing hard, and barely breathing. Minako-chan blushed furiously at the curt noise that had erupted from her stomach to greet everyone. Soon everyone silenced once more, and Minako-chan said, ''Er... excuse me? He, he... he.'' Makoto-chan then spoke up for the first time while being at the temple. ''So Mina-chan, want some cookies I baked?'' The discussion about the Negaforce was temporarily forgotten about while everyone was having a giggling fit. In the far back-round hid a man of twenty in college with ebony black hair and ocean blue eyes. He watched suspiciously and listened carefully to the five girls' mindless chatter. But what had caught his ear was the mention of the Negaforce, and about some kind of high tech computer that Ami-chan knows how to function. He didn't mean to eavesdrop. It just sort of happened. He was just walking by the temple on the sidewalk when he heard his Angel's voice. He was in love with her since the first day he set eyes on her, but for some odd reason he never received the same love back to him. Maybe because of his curt comments, maybe because he acted to quirky whenever he was near her, maybe because it was that he always makes fun of her hairdo. He loved the hairdo, just never showed it. Along the way to the arcade ( where his Angel is always there at this time of day) when he heard her voice. His heart flew like he was in cloud nine, he was lifted off the ground, and that's when it plummeted. He heard her talking about the Negaforce. Was she connected in some way, he wondered. Of course she would be if she was talking about it. Not many people look up ancient mythology and connect it to reality. He had decided to listen in on their conversation for a while longer, just to see if they might know something new about the new kind of attack killing two innocent teenagers. Ami-chan did say she had some kind of lock on the Negaforce. The silence he heard brought on the eruptive burp that came out of Minako-chan. He grew weary that they would say anymore, so he turned around and yawned for a bit then choked on his own saliva when he heard the rude gesture. He heard all of the girls' laugh hysterically, he laughed to himself, and turned upon his heel back in the direction he was facing when he was eavesdropping. He laughed openly and slicked back his hair a bit before announcing his presence to his sweet. He just had to see her face today, and if she wasn't at the arcade he would see her right now. He never thought about the consequences if those girls' found out he was listening to their conversation. It was obviously a confidential conversation. The five girls' heard a male laugh; spontaneously Minako-chan, Makoto-chan, and Usagi-chan perked up and combed their hair with their hands. They awaited whatever was coming their way. Makoto-chan batted her eyelashes, and Minako-chan puckered her lips. Usagi-chan was just trying to look her best while charming the guy into her arms. It was the only thing she could do. ''Nice one Minako-chan. I heard it all the way down on the sidewalk. Very creative. Have you ever thought of taking that as a profession?'' Mamoru laughed somewhat mockingly. Minako blushed, and Makoto and Usagi slumped back into their chairs and groaned. Rei, though, perked up then and had hearts in her eyes. It was her one and only... Chiba Mamoru. ''Don't look so glum girls'. Aren't you happy to see me? What's the matter Odango Atama? Odangos too tight? Speechless are you? That's a first.'' He grinned his 'special' grin just for his little Usako. He winced inwardly at the comments he had just made. It was all too familiar. He makes rude comments, immediately rue what he had said. Then she would cry and run away from him saying she hated him. It was all too familiar. But she never did cry, she scowled and sneered at him playfully instead. PLAYFULLY! ''What's wrong Mamoru-kun? Haven't thought of any new comments to bestow upon me?'' Usagi scoffed back. Mamoru took a step back and grabbed his heart like he was deeply hurt, he made a choking noise and fell backwards playing dead. The girls laughed at the duel they were playing... all of them knew that this was for fun, a stand up comic right in your own front yard. Even Usagi-chan was enjoying it. Mamoru stood back up thinking of the counterattack he should play, they never fought like this before; he personally thought it was fun. Especially when his little Usako played along with him. ''Oh, nothing is wrong. I just almost died of shock.'' Mamoru spat back. Usagi looked at him quizically. He continued. ''I never knew you could use such big words like of and to.'' ''Ooh, diss.'' Hissed Rei-chan, Minako-chan, and Makoto-chan in unison. A grin grew upon Usagi's face and she brightened up for the next comment. ''I would die of shock too, you know. I would die of shock if you ever went out with a girl this is.'' Makoto snickered almost uncontrollably. Mamoru seemed taken back for a moment. Without thinking he instantly regretted what he had said. ''I would also die of shock if I ever announced my devoted life to you and your cute antics.'' Every fell silent. Mamoru blushed knowing what he had just done. But fortunately, on his part, it was not noticed. The girl's, even Usagi went in an uproar. ''Alright Mamoru-kun. You got me, I can't beat that.'' Usagi said laughing. Her eyes started tearing. Mamoru was so grateful that his secret wasn't found he also chuckled deeply gratified. As time went by, the girls' allowed Mamrou to stay for a while. It was Rei's decision, that's why he stayed. He never mentioned that he heard their conversation. He decided to keep it as a secret. Mamoru's secretiveness and kindness got on Usagi's nerves. She knew something was not right. But she knew that her psychic friends was too caught up in the heat of the moment that she wouldn't be able to sense any evil presence. But for once... Usagi could, and it shot from Mamoru's direction. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Okay, yeah I know... it's short, but hey! I think it's a cool cliffhanger.
