Meant to be Together, Forever By: Angel Chapter: 5 Rating: PG Disclaimers: I do not own Sailor Moon. I sound like a broken record, don't I? O well. E-mail me everyone, and tell me what you think! So, in the last chapter it turns out that Mamoru-kun now knows about Usagi-chan being Sailor Moon of the five senshi. He also knows how she feels about him, because Usagi-chan indirectly confronted him about it from her journal or diary. Here is a bit of a preview for the chapter for the very few people in the world who actually like to read disclaimers, in this chapter will be a few details about Motoki-kun and Mamoru-kun's conversation then something happens and he needs to see Usagi-chan right away, but... wait. Why am I telling you this? I will stop there, I've said too much (::sigh::) so you will just have to read and find out why Mamoru-kun NEEDS to see Usagi-chan right away before it's too late. I bet you will say that he needs to save her from a youma, but your wrong! I'm boring, so I will stop now and let you read on... =D... (I had a novocaine shot today so the face looks like I'm drooling.) ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* ~* I noticed something in the earlier chapters. Please excuse Mattok-kun, and replace that in your mind for Motoki-kun. I accidentally hit auto correct. Thank you. *~ Meant to be Together, Forever Chapter 5 "Mamoru-kun, how is it possible that you actually messed up your apartment?" Motoki-kun asked still half-lying on the floor. Mamoru just looked at him like he was absolutely nuts. "That is a good question Mattock-kun. But the answer is, it's not possible to mess up my apartment unless it's done by someone else." "Then why are your books lying on the hallway floor for me to step and slip on causing me to hit my head on the back of the closed door and get a concussion?" Mattock-kun asked matter of factly. Mamoru raised an eyebrow and looked down from his best friend's face to the floor. To his surprise, books, papers, notebooks, rulers, pencils, pens, manuals, pencil sharpener, folders, and a binder were laying on the floor all spread out just waiting for someone to come along and trip upon only to cause a broken neck and a big law suite or a broken friendship. "Good thing that was you and not someone else Mattock-kun." Mamoru said half laughing. Mattock faked a hurt face and sat up in an up right position to rub his lower back. "Mattock-kun? I think that you should get your back checked out today or tomorrow. I think I heard something crack, and it was pretty loud." Mamoru-kun laughed at Motoki's expression on his face. "I don't find anything funny about breaking my back and neck, and feet, and legs, and arms, and it's all because you decided for the first time in your life to mess up your apartment!" Mattock half yelled half laughed. He kicked some of Mamoru's books and novelties aside so he could lay his leg all the way down flat against the carpeting. "When I came in I saw you slam your hand in the coffee table, why did you do that?" "Oh! That's the best part! She likes me! She really likes me! Oh Mattock-kun! My dreams and prayers have been answered by the goddess of the moon!" Mamoru squealed like a schoolgirl and clapped his hand while doing a little dance and turning around in a full circle. "Are you alright... Mamoru-kun?" Mamoru giggled (AN: yes, giggled) and did another little three-sixty turn. "Okay, now I'm scared. What's wrong Mamoru-kun? You can tell me. Do you need some kind of psychology treatment? Are you going Narcotic? Do you hear voices inside of your head?" "Of course I hear voices Mattock-kun! But that's nothing new! Mattock-kun, she loves me! Wow, am I so- happy!" Mamoru came over picked Mattock up and kissed him on the check before hugging him until he almost passed out. Mattock-kun was mortified. He just stood there watching his psycho friend go insane right in front of him. "Mamoru-kun... who loves you? Hopefully not a girl, otherwise I would be completely scared for her, and her safety. What has gotten into you Mamoru? I have never seen you this way for any girl, not even a model or an actress or anything for that matter. What does this girl have that is so much better than the girls that I have set you up with or you have dated in the past?" Mamoru stopped his little dance all of a sudden, maybe thinking or maybe in shock. Either way Mamoru stopped all of a sudden and just looked at Mattock-kun with eyes wide open and his mouth had a crack in which that he could breathe through. "First of all Mattock-kun," Mamoru began, "you have a major bad taste for girls, that's why I never like the girls you set me up with, and this girl is phenomenal! She's like the ray of the sun when it first touches the earth at sunrise. She's like a cool breeze on a 70? day, like having a picnic with me, and only me! Its amazing Motoki-kun! I swear if I could name one thing so great to describe her, the only thing that would even come the tiniest bit close would be some kind of queen in the future that would control the whole entire earth, and she would have eyes only for me, Chiba Mamoru! The sweet smell of her hair is ten times better than the best thing you have ever smelled Mattock-kun. Her uprising personality is like the ocean. The waves ever stop no matter in what mood. If she's had a bad day, or if it was because of me, it would be a hurricane in the ocean, but the waves keep flowing and churning and swirling with undying happiness that can spread throughout the ocean, from the far corner of the United States of America, to our country of Japan. She's breath-taking Mattock-kun. I bet you wouldn't understand though, I fall asleep aching for her, it sounds really bad, but it's the absolutely truth. I never thought that in the slightest bit she would have the same feeling for me as well as I her. Do you understand Motoki-kun?" Mamoru finally said in one breath. "Wait, did you say... if she had a bad day because of... me? Or in other turns, do you happen to annoy or make this girl hurt in any way? Do I happen to know this girl...? Chiba Mamoru? And you never even thought about telling me your affections for a girl that is named... Tsukino Usagi? "Um... I've got to go now Mattock-kun, you can walk yourself out, close the door behind you!" Mamoru screamed. Mamoru knew the biggest mouth in the whole university had found him out. He ran out the door past Mattock into the hallway and to the elevator, which so happened to be conveniently open for an elderly couple who were already inside waiting for another person inside to come and push a button. Mattock turned around just in time to see the elevator doors close behind Mamoru-kun who was waving good-bye to him... the elevator must have been twenty feet away, Motoki-kun didn't think that kind of speed was capable for any human. "Well, maybe he's not human, but some kind of super hero. That will be the day." Motoki said scratching his head. He closed the door shaking his head; sticking his hands into his baggy pants pockets he walked down the deserted hallway in silence. Mamoru-kun waited impatiently for the elderly couple to exit on the floor with the recreation facilities, he held the door open so that the little lady was able to hold on to her husband's hand while walking in her walker. Mamoru looked at their attire and saw old moth eaten cloths, lightly bleach stained on the collar, and both of them smelled like and hold nursery home kind of musty smell. Mamoru usually helped out with seniors, they were always nice to him, and he knew how it felt to be cooped up in a home with other people your age. It was a long time ago, but he remembered what it was like for him, it was really awful. Since he was released at the age of fifteen (because of his genius type of mind and work ethnicity) he would often visit and help out at nursing homes for the elderly, and talk to the children in orphanages and play with them if they were lonely. Being lonely was probably one of the worst types of feelings in the world, Mamoru always thought, and to be lonely was like having someone really close all of a sudden turn on you, it was an awful feeling, and especially if you were the youngest; all the other children at the orphanage would pick on you and say that you smelled like dog poop. They would push you down to the ground and make you eat earthworms. He knew from personal experience. Even he wanted the couple to just get out as soon as possible and leave for once and for all. He was being prejudice at that specific moment, but he wanted to leave so he could get to his car, drive over to Usako's home and sweep her up in his arms, just to tell her how much he loves her by a simple delicate, but sweet loving kiss. That is... if she would let him kiss her. Who knows, it could be a late April fools day joke? April fools day happened only about five days ago. The thought made Mamoru's grin slowly slip from his face. 'That... she, would never... do anything like that.' Mamoru thought. The bell of the elevator rang with a ding, and in an instant Mamoru had flown out of the lobby into the parking lot and ran right by his car because he was in such a major hurry. "Oops, I missed my car. Hehe." The engine roared right at the minute the driver's seat door closed and he was off, suddenly, something didn't feel quite right. Something was wrong, but he wasn't able to place what exactly it was that made him feel like he had to rush. It was just a gut feeling, and he knew that once he got there everything would be fine, but it was just a little pang in the back of his mind that told him to hurry, there's not much time, if you don't get there soon all will be lost and you will never get to tell your Usako that you love her dearly. Mamoru held onto this thought and sped up to make the orange light. The light turned red, but he sped up even more; passing the red light and cutting in front of another car, a siren was heard, but he ignored it. But the more it was ignored the more it grew, until he saw a police car right next to him with a police man signaling him to pull over to get a fine for multiple causes. Mamoru looked at the policeman and almost did what he was told, but something told him to keep going, to not stop at any costs. So he kept going, he was now speeding at seventy miles per hour in a forty mile an hour zone. Looking at the policeman he saw that he was calling for help, Mamoru knew he was in for it if he didn't stop soon. But that, too, did not stop him. He knew from college that his car was one of a kind and it could easily out run a police car, as crazy it may sound. Mamoru shrugged his shoulders and lipped sorry at the man only to step on the gas and fly back into his seat. He saw the policeman gawk at him as he too sped up. Mamoru stepped on brake hard enough to make the turn necessary in order to reach his Usako's home, but in the corner of his eye he saw a bright flash of light. Turning his head the light grew into a bright blinding flash and reporters were seen on the road in front of him. "The senshi need me... Usako." Mamoru said aloud. He saw the report trucks in front of him, he had never experienced such a whiplash as the one he just had. He stepped on the brakes at about sixty miles an hour, and a block away from the trucks blocking the street. He ground his teeth while trying to control the car, and miraculously he was able to control the car as well as save his own life from instant death. Twisting and turning the steering wheel he hit a tree with his fifty-thousand dollar car and alarms from his car and sirens from ambulances and police cars flooded his ears and mind. But that didn't matter, the police and medical professionals rushed to assist him, only to see him jump out of the car and run across the street and through the traffic of reporters gawking at the Sailor senshi as they used their powers to try and defeat the enemy, he was unhurt, not even a small cut or bruise showed it's ugly face that the policemen and medical professionals had seen as Mamoru ran out. A few people tried to stop Mamoru, but they only became a nuisance and a problem. Some men up ahead of him ran out in front of him and stood on their guard while Mamoru ran out in full speed ready to plow through them and out to the park to save his Usako. He slowed down a bit and watched the men ahead of him shout. "Stop! If you know what's good for you you'll stop! The Sailor senshi are fighting! Stop!" Is what Mamoru heard a man say to him. "No! You don't understand! Let me pass! I'm here for your safety, and I will not stop until I am able to help! Let me pass!" Mamoru said angrily, he stopped about five or so feet away from the men as he tried to persuade them to let him pass. But it was to no avail. They held their stance firmly and were ready for Mamoru to crack. And crack he did. Mamoru started screaming at the men as the law enforcement arrived behind him. There were many people surrounding Mamoru, but he knew that he must get to his Usako before it was too late, he didn't even know what was going to happen! A shrill scream was heard from way in front of all the men and the street went silent... the entire population were dead silent. Another scream was heard from the park, Mamoru went ballistic, the scream was recognizable. "Sailor Moon!" Screamed Sailor Mars. Sailor Moon was grabbed by the biggest youma thing with horns the scouts have ever seen. Huge talons held her by the neck and punctured her throat, despite all her efforts it was utterly useless for any kind of freedom. The youma was at least one-hundred feet tall with a tail over fifty feet long, the end of the tail was split into four tails with sharp ends, all were at least fifteen feet in length, the senshi were dodging the four tails (AN: kind of weird sounding, isn't it?) with all their might, it took all of their energy just trying not to be hit rather using their powers to try and stop the thing. Sailor Moon screamed again, the monster held her up to his face before laughing at her efforts. The once white gloves were stained with dirt from falling so much, and her face was turning a reddish color because of the lack of oxygen and blood. She saw the ground, but it was hazy and was starting to swirl in motion. Sailor Moon felt sick to her stomach, she smelled blood on the monster's breath. Tears started to flow from her eyes once the hazy and swirl kind of scene went black. She wasn't able to breathe or even choke. Screaming was way in the back of head right at that moment, probably because she couldn't scream. "Supreme thunder!" Sailor Moon was dropped when the attack hit the monster's talons and broke. All the way down until Sailor Moon hit the soft grassy ground she coughed and held onto her sore throat wheezing in and out quickly for air. Sailor Jupiter caught her just before she was stabbed with one of the tails from behind. Sailor Jupiter put her down by one of the near by trees to rest before rejoining the fight. "Sailor Moon, are you alright? Answer me Usagi-chan! Answer me damn it." Jupiter said shaking Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon now just laid on her side, arm on her throat and tightly gripped onto Jupiter's arm for protection. Sailor Moon opened her watery eyes and looked at her friend with many thanks... but words right now were not heard from Sailor Moon's mouth, just thankfulness. Sailor Jupiter saw Usagi's eyes grow wide then blink, her friend would be okay; she saw bruises starting to form on her upper neck and deep puncture marks near her larynx. Blood dribbled from Usagi's right shoulder blade and her senshi uniform was ripped from the middle part of the stomach on the left side, all the way to the right side, it was ripped in a slant making bare skin that was scrapped pretty badly show. Jupiter touched Sailor Moon's stomach as if she could heal it, but in vain she took her hand away, afraid of causing more pain to her hurt friend. It was rare to see Sailor Jupiter cry, but Usagi saw tears flow from the eyes of her hero showing pain, but then she saw something else. Jupiter didn't see it though, her back was faced towards the fight that was currently going on. "Jupiter... no, JUPITER LOOK OUT!" Sailor Moon pushed her friend to the side as a tail came crashing into the tree behind the Sailor senshi. Sailor Moon screamed as a red gash formed from where the tail had sliced her upper thigh. It was not deep though, that was the good part, the bad part was that earlier when Sailor Mercury was getting information on the youma the senshi found out that the tails of the youma held some kind of poison pockets which are released when the flesh was cut. Sailor Mercury quickly ran over to Sailor Moon as Jupiter ran out on a rampage and shot as many lightning bolts at the monster she could muster before collapsing. Sailor Mercury used her water power to cleanse the wound and analyzed it before checking up on Sailor Jupiter. "Crescent beam!" Screamed Sailor Venus. The ground rumbled as something hit the ground with a thud. A roar was heard, it was ear piercing and shrill, it echoed forever and made all the Sailor senshi fall to their knees clutching their ears to block out the sound. The tail of the monster had been cut off by Sailor Venus' s beam. Mamoru heard a low growl from far off in the distance, but then it got louder and a higher pitch arose from the low growl, it came in like waves that hurt his ears and apparently everyone else's. The police restraining him and the reporters and everyone else who might be street dropped to the ground, one by one. Soon people were on their stomachs or backs hands over ears trying to cover up from the awful noise descending obviously from the monster. "This is my chance to get away." Mamoru said to himself, but it was unheard because the noise drowned his words. Mamoru stood up despite his mind's wish to remain sitting down covering his ears. Looking around for any kind of escape he walked slowly then more quickly towards any kind of source that he could use to jump and get away from all of the people. He was surrounded by four trucks, about one-hundred people, two street lamp posts, and small buildings and houses across the street. He found his escape. Mamoru started to run towards a street lamp post, on the way he stepped on a guards hand which made the man yell out in pain and blow into his whistle for Mamoru to stop, but before he was able to, Mamoru jumped up and grabbed the top of the lamp post. He picked himself up until he stood on the bar uneasily and jumped into the nearby tree, from there he climbed until he made sure that it was safe to jump down and run. The noise from the monster had now stopped and noises from the battle was heard, he looked back at the people and there were guards/policemen holding the reporters and people back from running after him. A single policeman ran after Mamoru screaming at the top of his lungs... "You stupid fool! Get the hell out of there!" Mamoru ignored the man. He ran as fast as he could, he had only ran about twelve feet before he saw in the distance a hill in which covered his view of the fight. The hill was steep and it slowed him down on the way up, his senses were all in a whirl, nothing made any sense of any kind. Things were going on around him that he could not comprehend. As Mamoru ran up the hill he tripped on a rock hidden somewhere in the ground. He lost his balance almost immediately and fell forward to the ground, only he didn't fall all the way, he kept running on his hands and knees up to the tope of the hill where he regained his stance. Mamoru stopped at the very top of the hill and looked out towards the field where he saw the biggest thing he had ever seen, it was bigger than some of the buildings in Tokyo, and wider than two of the biggest buildings in town. He saw that the monster was currently battling only one of the five Sailor senshi, yet he saw four of the senshi, he saw Sailor Mars with Sailor Mercury aiding a wounded Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus was fighting, but he saw no Sailor Moon. Frantically he looked from the left to the right then to the left again, as he looked he started walking quickly to the bottom of the hill. He saw her. He saw laying on the ground clutching her leg in pain. His worst nightmare came true, he was too late, and it was the people of Tokyo's fault for not letting him pass in time to save their greatest warriors life. But she was still alive and trying to get up to help. She collapsed right in front of his eyes, and as he ran closer he saw that she was crying. Her hair was all straggly and one side had come out of it's usual bun on the side of her head. He saw that her uniform was all slashed up and she was pretty banged up herself. Mamoru wanted to kill this kind of monster for doing that to his Usako; tears threatened the back of his eyes as he ran harder and harder to sooth her pain. Once again she tried to stand up, she knew she had to help somehow, but that somehow was void from her mind, and then she collapsed on her side again, rolling around trying to gather the energy to stand up again and again and again made it all the more painful to see her like this. Mamoru was now down at the bottom of the hill, and Sailor Mercury had spotted him and was screaming for him to go back. She jumped up and started running towards him but Mamoru only maneuvered around her and ran further towards Sailor Moon. Mamoru was now crying, he didn't even know why he felt this way to an Odango Atama that always cried whenever he spoke to her, whenever she smiled to him then made a small pouting face when he called her his little nickname. She would always look his way whenever she entered the arcade, the way she smiled up to him, the way she made him all weird feeling inside when she was in a good mood. It was all of those things and so much more, but now nothing, absolutely nothing could stand in his way of going to his Usako and curing her pain. "Usako!" Mamoru screamed out to her. She responded by lifting her head to see him, instantly she regretted it. "Usako! Your hurt, oh Usako." Mamoru said finally kneeling down beside her. "No! Get away from here Mamoru! Get away! You'll only get hurt! I don't... want you hurt." Sailor Moon said in a firm but soon weakening voice. Sailor Moon saw the tears in his eyes that threatened to spill. She was lifted up into his caressing arms and held onto; safe and warm is the feeling that she felt. But what got to her was the face that he made when he touched her blood on the side of her leg. The fuku that she was made to wear when fighting was completely stained with blood. Usagi held onto his shirt and just stared into his eyes. A tear slowly made it's way down his cheek and she picked up her glove, took it off and threw it to her side just so she could touch his cheek and wipe his sorrow away. Her hand felt warm flesh under and then on top of her hand. A shaky hand covered her cold one (hand) and held onto that as if every part of her was absolutely essential for his survival. Letting the warmth take over her she allowed her stinging eyes to close and think of a time where she would be able to tell him how much he actually meant to her, but as of the moment there was no breaking point and no chance of the fight loosening up any time soon. Mamoru let his cheek rest upon her forehead as she closed her eyes, tears welled up but then stopped as flesh touched flesh. Then, something surprised him, another hand was rested on the back of his head pulling him towards her. His ear was against her lips as she whispered something into his ear that was almost audible. "Mamo-chan, I'm forever yours." Slowly she opened her eyes before once again twisting his neck until their lips met, it wasn't a passionate kiss, but a light sweet one that made both of their lips tingle with electricity that for the first time flowed through both of them at the same time. They then knew they were meant to be together, forever. Sailor Mercury had joined in the fight with Sailor Venus, but the water power had absolutely no affect on the monster. They found out a new type of weapon that the monster uses, he breathed fire. And whenever Mercury used shabon spray it was evaporate from the intense heat of the fire the monster breathed out. "Sailor Venus! Look out!" Sailor Venus jumped just in time for the fire to miss her and turn a young healthy tree into flames. Sailor Mercury weaved her way through the turning tails that were trying to stab her from behind to the right then to the left then up then right though a loop creating a knot in the tails making it almost impossible to swing around anymore. But it then created a new problem. "Sailor Mercury, behind you! Fire-soul!" Sailor Mars yelled. "Ahhhhh!" Screamed Mercury. She was hit in the back by a giant ball of tails covered with fire. Sailor Mars had used her fire power to try and stop the monster's attack, but all it did was ignite the tails and create a fire ball which collided into Sailor Mercury making her fly forwards about fifteen feet before slamming into a branch of a big oak tree. "Thanks, Mars." Sailor Mercury muffled. Mamoru broke away from Sailor Moon and gazed into her eyes for some kind of answer. "Did you feel that, Usako?" He asked "I did," She started to whisper back. "what was that feeling?" "I have no clue, but it felt like heat on my neck." Mamoru said rubbing the back of his neck. "That's not exactly what I meant, but I can answer you on that one. Look...," Sailor Moon's lips quivered. "look behind you." ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ next time, in chapter 6, I promise there will be more detail about the battle.
