Disclaimer: Don’t own sh*t so don’t sue --if you do, you still ain’t gettin nuttin-- Moonlit Angel: Blue Moon Darien opened the castle door and stepped inside. Suddenly, he was knocked down by something --more like someone-- and hit the floor with a thud. He looked down and saw the queen, Celest, hugging him for dear life. “Mother, what are you doing?” Darien asked, laughing slightly. “Oh, my poor baby! Where have you been? Are you alright?” she cried and Darien laughed. “Mother, I was just down at the waterfall and no, I’m not fine, I think you just broke my ribs.” “Oh.” Celest said dully and lifted herself from the floor, Darien followed. “Hehe, so sorry dear, I’ll be going now.” she said and rushed down the hall. Darien shook his head and started to his room. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ (In the hallway) Beryl was on her way to Darien’s room when she saw him walking in the opposite direction. “Darien!” she squealed and his head snapped up, he rolled his eyes and groaned. She obviously hadn’t noticed because she had thrown herself into his arms. “Genki desu ka? (How’ve you been) I’ve missed you so much!” she said and held onto him tighter. “N-nice to..uh..see you...” he trailed off as Beryl let go and he got a full view of her. She wore a spaghetti strap, TIGHT, overly revealing, black velvet dress that trailed behind her about 5 five feet. Too much make-up: dark purple eye shadow, black eye liner and mascara, a burgundy-ish blush, and fire red lips --not to mention WAY too much perfume *cough*-- ‘EEW!’ Darien’s mind screamed. ‘Nothing like Serena.’ Beryl tried to smile sexily, but failed miserably, “You like?” she said seductively. “Uuh..y-yea, it’s...it’s cute.” he said, disgusted. Beryl leaned closer to him, trying to kiss him, but he backed away, “Beryl, I’m not feeling so well, I’m gonna go lie down, ok?” She pouted, “Oh alright, I’ll see you at dinner then, bye sweetie.” she said and watched Darien walk into his room. Eyes closed, he leaned on the door and sighed. “Ahem!” he heard and opened his eyes. There stood four expectant generals, Darien laughed. “What now?” “What’s her name?” Kunzite. “Is she even prettier up close?” Nephlyte. “Is she single?” Jedite. “Is she really an angel?” Zoycite. Darien laughed once again and walked over to his favorite chair, “Her name is Serena, she’s absolutely gorgeous, yes, she’s single, and she really is an angel.” he answered. “Was she nice or snobby and stuck up like most girls?” Nephlyte asked. “Sweet as sugar.” “Well, aren’t you gonna tell us what happened?” Jedite asked. Darien smirked, “No.” he said simply and the guys started to whine. “Aw, come on!!” “That’s NOT fair!”~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ “Come on, we won’t tell!!!” “Alright, alright! Just stop whining, you sound like a bunch of school girls!” He told them everything from what she was wearing down to how she died. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ (outside Darien’s door) Beryl took her ear away from the door frowning, her dark brown eyes now crimson red, her fists clenched tight. “Angel my @$$, I’ll get that little b*tch. No one steels my men from me.” she growled and walked angrily down the hall. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ (After dinner) “Celest, may I speak with you?” Beryl asked sweetly with a smile. Celest smiled fakely --she didn’t like Beryl at ALL-- and stood, “Of course, dear.” They walked into the next room, “What is it, dear?” “Well, I over heard the guys talking and it figures that Darien goes down in the woods to the waterfall to talk to a girl, Serena, who says she’s an angel. He said they do...stuff.” Beryl said, making up the last part. Celest gasped, “Why would My Darien do that?” “I don’t know, Celest, but that’s what I heard. Oh, look at the time, I must get my beauty rest, goodnight.” “Yes, goodnight, dear.” Celest whispered as she walked down to her room, ‘I understand why Darien would do this, Beryl isn’t exactly...normal? But he never told me about it, and this girl sounds nuts! She says she’s an angel?! He probably did it because he’s afraid that I’d be dissapointed in him coz she’s probably just another bimbo like all the others... My poor baby.’ she thought and turned off the lights. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ (Heaven) “But you know it started yesterday! Serena, honey, if you keep this up, I might be rejected; I’m supposed to look over you and make sure nothing happens to you! I love you very much, you’re like the daughter I never had and I don’t want to lose you!” Dirna said, a single tear rolled down her cheek. Serena, who was crying full blast, hugged her, “Dirna, I know you love me --I love you too-- but, I also love HIM and I don’t wanna lose him so.. I have to go.” she let go of Dirna and turned. Dirna took Serena’s wrist, “Serena, onegai.. do not go, onegai.” she whispered. “Gomen ne.” Serena whispered back and disappeared. Tears spilled rapidly over Dirna’s cheeks as she fell to her knees, “Oh Serena, DO be careful...” she said and continued to cry. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ (the next morning~ Darien’s room) Darien awoke to the soft sound of Serena’s sweet voice: “Darien, Darien, wake up, please.. come on!” she whispered. He finally opened his eyes and gasped, “SER--” he started to shout before she put an icy cold hand over his mouth. “Shh, you must be quiet.” “Why? What’s going on?” he asked. “Ok, you see...remember the man I told you about? Diamond? Well, he is allowed to walk the earth every two years in December when there is a blue moon always in the sky, even when there is sunlight: for three days and two nights. The blue moon started yesterday, that means he is looking for me.” she stopped, unsure. “Why?” “I live still, in heaven. He lives in hell, with unfinished buisness, which is to succeed in killing me on the day he did when we were alive.” “But, you are already dead, how can he hurt you?” “He is..uh..dead, as you would phrase it, too. Therefor he has the ability to handle me in the same way as he did when we were alive.” Darien seemed to hesitate before coming out with his next question, “Um, this is going to sound kind of random, but why are you so cold?” “I’m dead, I SHOULD be cold.” she answered with a slight laugh, he smiled and blushed. There was a brief pause. “Can hurt me?” “No.” “Can I hurt you?” “No.” “So, therefor, I cannot hurt Diamond, am I correct?” “Not completely.” “What do you mean?” “I’m sorry, but I cannot tell you that.” *KNOCK KNOCK* “Umm, w-who is it?!” “It’s us!” he heard Kunzite yell. He looked at Serena and she nodded. “Come in!” The four guys stepped into the room and their jaws dropped to the floor, “THE AN--” they all started loudly before Serena put her hand up and they suddenly silenced. “Please, you MUST be quiet.” she whispered pleadingly and they nodded. She turned back to Darien, “I have to go now, but you must PROMISE me that you won’t try to help me if you feel I’m in trouble.” she said and he shook his head. “I can’t do that.” “Yes you can, PROMISE me.” He waited a second and looked into her beautiful sapphire eyes, “I promise.” he whispered and she slowly disappeared, leaving a single, silver rose in her place. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ (waterfall) Serena sat down sadly in front of the clear water, a sweet scent of lilacs in the cold air, --the snow had, almost, completely melted-- and the soothing sound of the waterfall ringing in her ears. “What a day to die.” she said, just as Diamond stepped out of the shadows, in back of her. “Yes, what a day to die,” he said, Serena stood up and turned around. “it’s a pitty I have to kill such a beauty...but, I have to ask; why would you sacrifice your life for his?” “Why do you want to kill him?” “Because he stole you away from me!” he shouted. “You never had me!” she spat back. “JUST ANSWER MY QUESTION!” She looked down at the ground, “Because.. I love him.” she said quietly, he frowned. “You LOVE him, do you? Well then, I’ll just have to reconsider killing him too, won’t I?” with that, he lunged at her, a black limestone sword in hand. _________________________________________________________________ CLIFFHANGER!! Gosh, I never knew how much fun writing cliffhangers could be! I gotta do this more often! Well, this chapter --I believe-- was a little longer than the last. Sorry to say, but the last chapter --I think-- is gonna be the shortest. Ok, well I hope you liked this one, and thanks for the e-mails --you know, I wouldn’t mind getting a few more-- Ja Ne! ~*SHARI*~
