Once In A Life Time   Chapter 1

Serena lazly sat up in her bed not noticing she was already five minutes late for class...agian,
 "Oh no Im late agian,Mrs H. is gonna kill me!"Serena said while looking dazley at the clock,she suddenly got up and stripped of her pjs and put on her school uniform. 
Tripping down the stairs she some how managed to get down with out braking her neck
"Got to hurry,Got to hurry Oh I hope miss H. has got a hot date tonight."knowing that Serena wouldnt get detintion if miss Haruna had a really hot date she hoped and prayed for this to be her day.
  Now Serena was running so fast that she stumbled and tripped on each step down the side walk as she turned the corner she ran straight into Darien. 
"Hey watch it meat ball head Im gonna be late for my physics class becouse of you"Darien was in no mood to tease Serena today,even as much as he enjoyed it he was late for his physics class,which for Darien was very strange.
  "For your info Darien Im already ten minutes late for miss H's class and I really dont need this from you today."Serena stumbled to her feet snatching her books from the ground and running off with not so much as a good bye.
  Getting to the door of the class room Serena tried as hard as she could to open the door with out a sound but she didnt succeed "Serena Tsukino your late agian you know what to do at the end of class now take a seat"Miss H. has had some time with Serena this year almost every day Serena was late and she was about to get on her last nerve.
  At the end of class Serena was very lucky as she hoped miss H. gave her a stern lecture and sent her home
"Ami,Lita wait up!" Serena called to her friends and now was walking beside them to the arcade.
"I see Miss.H let you go today"Ami said with mischief in her eyes
"Must be her love life letting you off the hook hunh Serena?" Lita was one to joke,she was the one who got kicked out of her last school for fighting.
   As they walked into the arcade they saw Rei and Mina sitting in a booth and walked over to them.
"Hey guys where ya been"Rei said "We were waiting for Miss H. to finish talking to Serena...agian." Lita looked over her shoulder and noticed Darien walking into the arcade sitting down in a booth across from Andrew.
  'Ugh not him again,please dont let him see me Please'Serena thought,but as usual her prayers weren't answered and suddenly saw Darien walking right for her.
  "You never said good bye this morning meat ball head"Darien said as a smerk ran across his face
"Dont call me that you know I hate it!What do you want anyway?"Serena looked up at him a troubled look in her face 'Why does he do this to me' she thought
 "Oh yeah I forgot when you ran into me this morning you took my physics book and I took your math book   
I dont think you could put any use into my book." Serena looked in her bag and then slid his book out to his hand.Darien was about to leave when Serena stopped him. "What about my math book" Oops,I kinda left it at my apartment"Darien said 
 "I kinda need it I have home work and I need to be getting home so I cant wait for you here."
Andrew,now returning to his shift at the arcade was behind the bar talking to his girlfriend Rita.
  "Hey andrew,dont they make a cute couple,we should do something to get them together dont ya think."
Andrew was looking at them knowing how much they hate each other then got this sudden fondness of making match maker for these two.
"Ya know Rita,I think you have got a good Idea lets try it what could it hurt."
Rita was now looking at her boyfriend in disbelief.He had never liked the idea of playing match maker,even if Darien was his best friend he would never do it I wonder what was so differant this time?
Andrew knew how lonely Darien was and he wanted nothing more in the world then to see his best friend happy.
"Ugh, Darien you are such an Idiot I cant believe you would come over here to get your dumb book back from me when you didnt even bring mine ugh you are sooo so ugh I cant even think of it right now!"
Serena was going over board and she didnt even know why she hated math and probably wasnt even going to do her homework anyway.
  Darien loved it when she got mad she always made the cutest face it was hard for him to try and hide the smile that was coming but somehow he managed it down.
  "Woh wait a minute meat ba..er Serena you need to breath ya know." He knew how much she hated that name and he didnt want her to end up slapping him across the face,he knew that look and she looked like she was going to atack anything that so much as made an insult at the moment.
  "Ok look Serena I'll just give you a lift and on the way we will stop by the apartment and pick up your book,can you hold till then?"
 'Why did he suddenly have a change of heart,he suddenly went from jerk to gentalmen and she didnt know what to say'
"Fine with me,but you better not tease me or call me meat ball head...and you best not drive me up to my door,I'll never hear the end of it from Sammy"
  They walked out of the arcade and into the car no sound could be heard all the way to the apartment and Serena was very suprised he gave his word and didnt tease her or for that matter talk at all.
  They drove up to the building and parked the car,when they got out Serena had noticed he had opend the door for her.
'What is up with him' Serena thought as she looked in amazement at the opened door.
   She suddenly came back to earth and stepped out of the car.
  When they were at the apartment door Serena leaned agianst the wall as Darien fumbled with his keys trying to find the right one. when he finaly got the right one he walked in picked up the book on the coffee table and stepped back out. Serena stood up strait and snatched the book from his hands. "Thank you,I'll be taking my book now"
When he dropped her off two houses down from her own ,as she requested,he said goodbye and for one moment he saw comfort in her eyes and couldnt help but notice how beautiful her eyes were in the moonlight "Thanks for keeping your word today Darien I really appreciate it" Serena then stepped out of the car and walked home.
