Hi!! This is to be my first fanfic that I am submitting. I've written others under another name but they weren't that great so I'm here and starting new! I really hope that you like it. I wish to tell you that this story is inspired by one person. That one person is the one that I love. The only problem is that he doesn't even know that I care for him. Actually that's not the only problem. He is also one of my very best friends. Last night I felt like I was going to go insane, so I wrote a letter to him and confessed everything. I still have yet to talk to him. He never calls me and I doubt, now, that he ever will. So now if things don't turnout right, I think I will have to quit writing. I am so scared right now. I wish all the people that have had hearts broken to let you know, that I may be joining you. Um, note, I haven't been to Paris for awhile and I can't remember how to spell much of anything, so I'm just going to go with what my travel notes say. Alright? Good. email me at Nausicaa@chibichibi.net Paris Holds the Key By: Nausicaa Part 1: Paris *No more flying!!! YEAH!!!!!* Serena thought as she hopped off the plane and into the main terrminal of the airport. She looked around for awhile before deciding to go look for her bags. She was so happy and excited that she about jumped to the luggage pickup in a single leap. Serena saw people hugging and some people crying. She knew that Paris was the most romantic city in the world, so this sort of what she remembered. (Yes she has been to Paris aready ok? Good glad you understand!) Serena got a picture in her head, her embracing someone. Her holding him tight like the world was to end at any second. *No. I am here to study. Not for a romance. I am here to fulfill only one dream. That would be too much. No, romance will not be an issue. But I can look at guys!* Suddenly there was a VERY loud blasting buzz, and the light on the luggage thing turned on. (geez!! what are those things called?! will someone PLEASE tell me?!) About everybody jumped and a few little children screeched. Bag after bag after bag after bag after bag after bag after bag after a CAT?! Yes there was a cat that just sat on the luggage thing-jig, poised and sophisticated, as if waiting for someone to bring it's little dish of tuna and a saucer of milk. Serena suddenly forgot all about her bags and stared at the little black cat. How odd it was, it had these deep ruby eyes and even stranger yet, it had a tiny golden crescent moon upon it's black forehead!! *THAT IS SOOOO CUTE~~~~~~!!!!!!* Serena ran up to the cat and looked at it longing. The neko looked up to see Serena's face beaming at her. The cat jumped back in shock when she saw her. *IT'S HER!! She is the one that I've been looking for!! This is easier than I thought it would be...* The neko, without a second thought jumped onto the girl's shoulder and it purred softly into her ear. "Uh, oh, hello kitty. (hehe) Who are you? Who do you belong to? Wait. You're are probably french right? Ok let's see...hm...bonjour kitty!! (I totally forgot what cat/kitty is!! Brain fart!!! I know that pas de sha is the step of the cat but AHGGGAAHHHHH!!!! Help me out here!!! Ok let's just pretend that she said cat in french! heh heh...) Oh dear... I am talking to a cat!! You can go home now. Uh bye, cya," the cat persisted on sitting on her shoulder not budging and inch, "Oh well you are so cute and soft! I guess you can stay with me for awhile. But if anyone yells at me for having their cat it was ALL your fault!" The cat nodded it's head and understood. *This cat is kinda spooky... It's like it knows what I'm saying... AAHHH!! Serena calm this is a cat...a cat...just a cat...* "Good, now let's go grab my luggage, alright?" And the two started to look back to the luggage thing-jig and after about twenty minutes they FINALLY found Serena's luggage. (Those things take FOREVER!!! especially in Europe... what's up with that?) Serena was really kinda lost so she sat down at a small little cafe` in the airport and had a warm pastry, some coccoa, and started to think about her new "life" in Paris. *This is SOOO exciting!!! Paris, watch out! Serena is here!* Serena got this shine of anticipation in her eyes and stared into the crowds of busy people. The cat, who had been perched on her shoulder was now laying comfortably on Serena's lap. Seeing the girls hopefull eyes she sat up straight up and thought *Well this is as good of time as ever...* The cat raised her head to look straight into Serena's face and began to speak, "Serena, I am Luna and I have been looking for you for some time now." "Yeah yeah that's nice. Now you be good and go get some milk or someth--.....Uh um uh huh?! Did you just talk to me?!!" "Would you please keep it down child! Yes I did just talk to you and I would strongly advise you not to agknowledge the whole airport about it thank you." the small cat replied firmly. Serena sat dazed looking at the cat in her lap, that seemed to carry an odd aura of importance.*This isn't happening Serena. This isn't happening. Well then why are you listening to the stupid cat?! To look like I am a sane person!!!!!!* Serena sat up with her bags and the petite kitty jumped politely (yes cats do jump politely!) onto her shoulder. Serena wanted to get out of this place fast. The whole cat thing, well this whole "Luna" thing was not a good thing to talk about in a rather busy and crowded airport. So upon having the small thing jump on her she knew that this was definitly a good time to get the hell out of there. Walking as fast as she could without looking like she was running she made it to customs. *uhoh. What will I say with a cat on my shoulder? They'll think I am a total nut case!!! Um ok, plan, think...........crap!!!!!!! I can't think of anything!!!!! Oh well Serena, just go with the flow.....you'll probably think of something......right?* Serena neared customs and found that her person was a girl. *Well that's good. Here goes nothing.* Serena cautiously handed the lady her U.S. passort. The lady in the straight and stiff uniform looked up to her and on seeing the cat upon the girl's shoulder she gave her an odd look and proceeded to stamp her passort. "How long shall you be staying in Paris ma'm?" the customs official asked quickly seeing the longer forming line behind the blonde American. "About 4 months, I'm studing abroad." Serena replied with speed as she wanted to gewt out of there fast. Much to Serena's surprise the offical moved her along out of the line and called for the next person to come and present themselves. (I absolutly HATE customs!!! Don't you? I mean they give you this little evil look and they tell you to go on and once I was stuck in customs because I had completely forgrot why I came and how long I was staying! Those people just make me sooooo nervous!!) "I hate customs!!!!" Serena said out loud and mostly to her soft furry companion on her shoulder. "Why didn't she question me about you or anything?" "Mind trick." Although the cat replied in a relaxed tone, just as one would say to any other question. But Serena's question, or so she thought, was one of which would take at LEAST a tad more of an exspository answer. But she was wrong. Serena looked at her partner dumbfounded by her answer and muttered to herself softly, "No wonder you can talk. You know my first day in Paris and I have met a talking cat that just freaked out the customs lady and not to mention I haven't had a thing to eat since the first flight." No doubt that the tiny creature heard what she was saying, and the cat just sat up straighter and more dignified as Serena made her way through the crowds of people. Serena with her luggage managed to get to a more secluded place, outside of the airport. *Well no one came to greet me so I guess that means that I am on my own now. Oh well why should I be worring! I have the directions right her to my apartment anyway! Maybe this is a good time to talk to "Luna".* Some middle aged men in business suits walked past her as Serena was staring off slightly into oblivion. *Well, maybe today isn't the BEST time to talk to "Luna". Well at least not here.* Serena grabbed a cab and headed out of the crowded airport, and after handing the man his money she hopped out of the small cramped car onto one of the busy streets of the romantic city of Paris. She walked for what seemed like hours, stopping at cafe`s along the way of course, she FINALLY found her apartment building. It wasn't really an apartment building but more of a beautiful piece of old stone art with vines creeping up all around it. *This is where I'm going to live!!!* Serena almost started to jump up and down with all her excitement, but decided against it. She would rather not make a spectacle of herself. She calmed herself down, a little bit, and walked into the old 17th century building. Serena gave the lady at the desk a huge smile and said, "Hello, um, I'm Serena Tsukino, I am supposed to be living here. I'm studing abroad." The lady began to flip through some files and then after a quick minute she popped her head up from the files and smiled to Serena. "Here you are Serena, this is the key to your apartment, your roommate has two others alright?" "I have a roommate?" Serena looked at the women with curiousity. "Yes. Is that alright?" "Oh yes that's just fine I just didn't know. Well thank you very very much I'm going to up now." the lady behind the desk smilded up at the girl as she accended the stairs. "Serena! Wait one moment!" "Yes ma'am?" Serena said coming halfway down the stairs. "You and your roommate are to stay togther wherever you go for safty and other purposes, alright?" "Um, alright." Serena looked at the woman oddly. *Probably some stupid request from my parents. Oh well she'll probably be really nice, this is going to be so much fun in Paris!!* Serena finished climbing the stairs and to the door numbers for hers, well it wasn't too hard to find. There was only 3 rooms on the floor. Looking up at her room number she rapted lightly on the door. The old wooden door opened and instead of the head of an excited girl, out came the figure of a young man, tall with dark hair, standing before her. ~*%~*%~*%~*%~*%~*%~*%~*%~*%~*%~*%~*%~*%~*%~*%~*%~*%~*%~*% to be continued........
