Mamoru hid in the shadows of the darkened Tokyo buildings. The little sprite had warned him of the next trial. What terrible feat it would be, he could only imagine. But that was not what was bothering him the most. He had a burning need to see where the *real* Usagi was, to know that she was safe. He decided that the best way to accomplish it was to call the sprite. After all, hadn't he offered his help to his prince'? Whistling low, he called, "Friend, tis time to help your prince!" A star detached itself from the speckled heavens and plummeted towards Mamoru. It slowed its flighted suddenely, then spiraled down until it stopped right in front of his face at eye level. "Hai, my prince? A favor, a favor! A task, a task! Set before me the hardest! I shall complete it with ease! Only try me, I will--" "Are you quite finished?" Mamoru sighed, exasperated. "Hai, I do need help. Only, _listen_ first, then respond." "I listen, I listen!" It hovered closer to his mouth and waited. Mamoru took a deep breath. "Bring a message to my Usak--my princess. The golden one who was taken from me. Tell her to be . . . iie, she's not a child. I have no right to say that. Tell her I love her . . . and that I remember. I remember." "I go! Swift wings of light and night and the halflight guide me . . . !" It flew off into the inky blackness of the night. A small, bright light flickered and flew through the swirling maelstrom of the dangerous space between dimensions, all the while whispering the message to itself over and over. "Tell her I love her and that I remember . . . Tell her I love her and that I remember . . . Tell her I love her and that I remember . . . Tell her I love her and that i remember . . ." It reached the place in time and space it sought, created a tiny portal, and traveled through. The princess should be on the other side, it thought. "Stop!" Usagi cried. "I did not . . . I did not ask for this . . . what did I do to you?" she pled. Her face was tearstained from hours of crying, because, unbeknownst to Mamoru, his aisuru was being abused in the worst way. Her long hair had fallen out of the buns and now surrounded her in a golden veil. She might have been beautiful, were it not for her face, which reflected all the torture she had endured. Her eyes, now the most prominent feature in her face, were no longer their usual azure. They had darkened with fear and anguish and the loss of reality that occurred when Mamoru hurt her again. "Iie. Of course, you wouldn't remember." She smiled. The sight was quite frightening. The smile was more of a snarl than anything else. Her silver lips drew back, exposing two rows of pointed white teeth, ressembling a predator trying to jest with its prey. "But . . . a very long time ago, you stole my love away." Usagi gasped. "How dare you make such an accusation? I've done nothing but fight for love and justice in my world, you demon!" "Iie. You are wrong, little Sailor Moon. I know you. And I know who you have killed. My lover. He was mine ever before he was yours!" Her smile grew into a gloating smirk at the astonished look in Usagi's eyes. "Oh, yes, princess," she said sarcastically, "Mamoru is _mine_" whaddya think? comments, questions, flames. . . . email is good, ppl! also, i want the nomination 4 EMSIT....dyathink? huh? huh? or do i need 2 b MORE evil . . . . i'll work hard on it . . . really, i will . . . .
