Five other people stood huddled against the back wall, staring at their friends. “Jupiter Thunder Crash!” “Mars Fire Ignite!” “Venus Crescent Beam Smash!” All three attacks were going in all direction, hitting card after card. Tuxedo Mask helped by throwing a few roses and Sailor Moon took out a few with the help of her tiara. One by one the monsters went down, until there were none there. Suddenly, Gambina appeared once more to them. They all stepped back, protecting their friends from all harm. “Do not worry Sailor’s. I do not wish to hurt your pitiful friends, it is you I want. Or rather, that Beryl wants.” She hissed, an evil grin coming to her face. “And what makes you think that we want to see Beryl?” Sailor Moon replied defiantly. “Oh, Sailor Moon, I do not believe you have the option. Once I am done with you, there will be no more Sailor Moon.” With that, a large, clear cage-like thing surrounded the Scouts, separating everyone from Sailor Moon. While they were busy trying to find a way out, Moon had turned to Gambina, anger clear on her face. “Let them go.” She commanded through gritted teeth, taking a fighting stance. “Ha! You think your pitiful threats scare me?” She slowly lowered herself till her feet touched the floor with a ‘clicking’ sound. “You will never defeat me, that’s for sure.” “Oh, we’ll see who’s going to beat who.” Those were the last words spoken as Gambina shot a beam of light from her hands at Sailor Moon, who dodged it easily. Jumping up quickly, she shot her tiara out, missing Gambina. As it returned, Gambina threw out about a dozen playing cards, much like Tuxedo Mask threw his roses. Sailor Moon managed to jump out of the way just in time as the cards embedded themselves in the stone walls. >From inside their cage, the Scouts could do nothing but watch helplessly. They had already tried their powers and Tuxedo Mask had tried his roses. Nothing worked. Mercury’s computer couldn’t even figure out what the substance was that surrounded them. “Your computer hasn’t found anything at all?” Mars asked again as they watched Mercury typing away furiously at her mini computer. “No, I’m sorry. The readings show that the substance this cell is made of is far beyond our technology. It’s main components aren’t even from Earth!” They all sighed as they turned to watch their leader and best friend fight for her life. Tuxedo Mask pounded his fist against the wall. There was nothing that he could do to help his love. It was so aggravating just not being able to speak to her. ‘Please, Serena, don’t give up. We have faith in you.’ Tux whispered, praying that by some miracle she would be able to hear him. And it seems as though fate was not on their side. As Sailor Moon lay on the floor, she heard his voice enter her thoughts. She glanced up just in time to see a large beam of light heading straight for her. Before she had time to move out of the way, the beam struck her. The Scouts all gasped in shock as they watched Sailor Moon get hit. Tuxedo Mask slumped to the floor and closed his eyes, fighting away tears. Andrew, Greg, Chad, Ken and Rita all gasped. Gambina slowly floated above Sailor Moon, smiling evilly. “So much for the champion of justice.” She laughed and kicked Sailor Moon. She glanced up at the others, trapped behind the crystal wall. She raised a hand in the air, and in that instant, the wall had disappeared. Noticing this, the Scouts and Tuxedo Mask rushed over to their fallen friend. Tuxedo Mask gently knelt down beside her and cradled her in his lap. Her fuku was torn bad and her face was ghostly while. His blood ran cold at the site of her and what that one blast had managed to do. “Ha! I’ve let you say good-bye before I finish her off, then it shall be your turn!” Gambina laughed, but the Scouts weren’t paying attention. They were all focused on Serena. “She’s very weak, but she’s alive. That blast took quite a lot from her.” Mercury whispered. They bowed their heads in silence, praying to who ever was listening to grant them something, although they weren’t sure what. “Dar....Darien?” A very faint voice was head. Tuxedo Mask’s eye’s popped open as her stared into a pair of crystal blue eyes. “Oh god Serena, I’m so sorry.” He whispered back, holding her close. “I wish I could have been there. I should have been.” “Do not worry my love. Everything will be okay.” She whispered back, her hand gently caressing his face. She smiled around at all of her friends. “I promise you all, soon everything will be okay.” With one last smile at Darien, her eyes fell shut. “No!” Darien cried, pulling her closer. He pulled off his cape and wrapped it around her body, holding her close as he could to his body. The Scouts felt tears running down their faces. “Well now, I hoped you had enough time to say good-bye.” Gambina’s face was full of evil. The Scouts turned around to face her and her hands flew above her head and a large ball of energy started to collect there. Suddenly, another large flash of light appeared in the room. Five to be exact. Two screams were head in the room and they glanced over to see Rita and Greg, slumping to the floor, holding their chest. Within moments, two more crystal’s had joined the others, and Greg and Rita slumped back, breathing heavily. No one knew that was going on. Gambina broke of the power source as her hands dropped to her sides. “What on Earth?” She mumbled. “The Rainbow Crystals!” Sailor Venus breathed. Sure enough, seven multi-colored crystals were circling around one another, slowly coming together. Within a few minutes, they had joined, forming a beautiful while crystal. “It’s the Imperium Silver Crystal!” Slowly it descended until it settled it’s self on Sailor Moon’s Moon healing wand. The Scouts stepped away from her, but Tuxedo Mask still held on to her. And bright light surrounded the pair, and soon, filled the entire room. Once the pure white light hit them, the Scouts began remembering things. Days at a grand castle, running in the fields. Royal dances and balls. Princes and princesses. Once the light disappeared, the Scouts stared at their leader, who was now wearing a long white dress. Her hair, still in meatball’s, had two pearl strands wrapped around each meatball, and two small clips on each side of her head. Darien was now wearing a black royal outfit. Silver shoulder blades were attached to it, and a long cape flowed down his back. Instead of a cane, a long sword was attached to one hip, and his mask and top hat were gone. A groan was hear as Serena slowly opened her eyes. “My prince.” A small grin found it’s way onto her face. Memories of a thousand years came rushing back at once, and she knew by the look on his face he was remembering their love to. “Endymion.” “I knew there was something special about you Serena.” He whispered, as their faces came closer. “Or should I say, Princess Serenity.” “Well, well, well. If it isn’t the little Moon Princess.” Gambina snorted, breaking up the romantic moment. Serenity and Endymion rose to their feet, facing the enemy. “Do you still think that you can defeat us now?” Serenity said, confidence in her voice. “Why of course Princess. After all, your mother couldn’t stop us from destroying the Moon Kingdom a thousand years ago, so why do you think that you are able to stop up?” Gambina laughed. “Tell you what. I’ll give you one chance. One hand of draw poker, double deal, duces wild.. No tricks, no nothing. Winner takes all.” “What’s that suppose to mean?” Serenity asked. “Meaning if you win, which I doubt very seriously will happen, you and all your friends can leave unharmed. If I win, you die and I get the crystal. Deal?” Gambina had slowly made her way towards the prince and princess and extended her hand to Serenity. “No tricks right? Playing fair and square?” Serenity asked again. When Gambina nodded, Serenity stuck out her hand and they shook. Within moments, there was a small table standing in the middle of the room. Serenity and Endymion allowed their new transformations to slip back into Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask as the other Scouts joined them. Though they were still in shock from the recent discovery of their missing princess, Venus managed to speak. “Are you sure you know what your doing?” She asked the question that was on everyone’s mind. Sailor Moon turned to look at her friends and shrugged. “Beats me.” But there was a certain tone in her voice that startled the Sailors. “You can deal if you still don’t trust me.” Gambina said, holding out the deck to Sailor Moon, but she just shook her head. “No, let’s just get this over with.” Her voice was hard as steel. Two of the little playing card minions rushed over and pulled out their seats. The Scouts watched every move it made while it was near Serena. The room was totally silent. Greg, Ken, Chad, Andrew and Rita had all walked up behind their friends and was now regarding the scene with some interest. The only sounds were of Gambina shuffling the dark green cards in her hand. With a quick flip of her wrist, send a card flying towards Serena, and then placed one in front of her. She repeated this until both had five cards. Sailor Moon studied the cards carefully, before pulling three out and tossing them in the center. Gambina followed in suit, also tossing three out. The second was passed out, three to each. Everyone was holding their breathe, looking for some reaction from their leader. Tuxedo Mask was trying desperately to see if he could talk to her in any way, still in shock from the recent discovery of his past. This time Sailor Moon tossed out two cards this time, while Gambina only threw out one, a cocky smirk on her face. The final hand was laid out and for a moment Sailor Moon just starred at the three cards in her hand. Then gingerly, she reached out and picked up the last two cards, and looked at her hand. The hand that decided the fate of her and her friends. The Scouts were looking for any reaction from her, and they finally got one. Though not the one they were looking for. Sailor Moon turned her head to face them, her eyes wide and her entire face was full of a mixture of fear, regret, and pain. The Scouts gasped as Gambina let out a sound of laughter. **Cliffhanger!! (well, I tried to make one!) I can’t believe it! I’m almost done!
