Bethany: Isn't is great?! that someone is writing a christmas fic with me? *jumps up and down* anywho... Serenity Raye Note: I realize that it's unlikely the senshi would participate in anything Christmas related, particulary Rei, but I enjoy the orginal characters better therfore they will all celebrate Christmas. Do not take this as an advocation for one religion over another. Usual disclaimers apply, please don't sue us!! Japanese Translations Konnichi' wa - good afternoon Odango Atama - dumpling head minna - everyone baka - stupid Kami-sama - God masaka - it can't be doushita no - what's wrong? Santa's Sercret Written by: Serenity Raye and Bethany ^_^ Rating- Geee! **************** Usagi skipped merrily down the street her blond pigtails streaming behind her. It wasn't snowing -much to her dissappointment- but was still chillie. Walking into the arcade she rubbed her arms trying to get the warmth back into them. "Hey Usagi-chan!" Motoki greeted as she headed over to the counter. "Konnichi' wa Motoki-san!" Sitting at the counter she smiled brightly. "Have any Apple Cider?"(Serenity Raye: had to break from the coccoa wave hitting fics) "Coming right up." While Motoki busied himself making her drink, Usagi closed her eyes and spun around in the stool, feeling a light breeze. Soon she began to feel dizzy and was about to fall off the stool when something, or rather someone, stopped her. "Uhh...." she moaned, opening her eyes slowly. "What on Earth are you doing, Odango Atama?" Mamoru asked sarcasticly, standing in front of the girl. "Stop moving and I'll tell you." Reaching out she steadied herself on the counter as Motoki set her drink down. "Thanks Motoki-san!" Blowing on it quickly she gulped it down, enjoying the warmth and cinnimon flavor. Suddenly it wasn't so enjoyable any more, infact it was burning her mouth. "Owwwie!!!" she cried, waving her hand in front of her mouth. "Hot, hot, hot, hot, hot!!!", Motoki, anticipating this before hand, set a glass of water in front of her which she promtly drank, though this time slower. Feeling the cool liquid slide down her throat and sooth her burn, she smiled. "Thanks Motoki-san," she breathed and glanced around the arcade. "So where is everyone? It seems kinda empty for Saturday." "Yeah, well, I guess people are Christmas shopping," he said, taking her cups. "Usagi-chan!" a chorus of voices called from behind. Turning, she saw her four friends Ami, Rei, Minako, and Makoto. Clad with shopping bags, they moved to a booth and Usagi got up to follow them. "Minna-chan!" she smiled, pulling a chair up. "So, how is your shopping going?" Makoto asked. "Okay I guess..." she looked out the window whistfully. "Is it snowing yet?" "No. It hasn't snowed for five years now. Not even a drizzle!" Minako laughed and Ami shook her head sadly at her friend's mix-up. Usagi, who had missed the mistake, added, "But I can dream, can't I?" Sighing she placed her folded arms on the table and leaned her head down. "I would love a white Christmas..." "Baka, it won't snow. It's barely cold enough for winter coats let alone snow." Rei, always quick to remark on something Usagi said, added picking a piece of lint off her red sweater. Usagi started to respond when Minako decided to jump in. "So, are we doing the Santa thing?" she inquired, pulling some paper and pens out of a bag. "What Santa thing?" Motoki asked, walking over. "Oh, it's a gift exchange. See we all write our names on peices of paper then put them in a hat or something," Rei started explaining. "And then we all pick a peice of paper, and buy a gift for the person whose name is on it," Makoto continued - batting her eyes. "Then on Christmas we all exchange gifts," Minako finished. "It's called Santa's Secret." Everyone groaned. "Secret Santa, Minako-chan," Ami corrected. A bright red stain entered Minako's face. "Whatever." Turning to Motoki, she smiled. "You want in?" "Uhh..." Motoki fumbled nervously. Glancing at Mamoru he realized even his friend couldn't get him out of this one. "Oh! Mamoru can join us too," Makoto added quickly, thinking that would get Motoki to join. She secretly hoped she would get Motoki's name so she could spend more time getting to know him. "Mamoru-san!" Rei called out, startling him. "Come here!" Walking over, Mamoru stood behind Usagi. Feeling the heat of his body against her back; Usagi felt a shiver go through her body. "Its getting cold in here," she commented- absentmindedly rubbing her arms. "No, it's not, baka." Rei scolded. "Mamoru-san, we're planning a gift exchange; want in?" Makoto said a little *too* eagerly "I...." he began, slightly thrown off notice. "Motoki-san's going to join, why don't you?" Minako added. "I never-" Motoki began. "Sure you did!" Makoto interrupted, smiling at Motoki. She turned her attention back to Mamoru. "Come on Mamoru-san, it's fun!" "Mamoru would love to join," Motoki supplied for him. "I would?" "Sure ya would!" he cried, then lowering his voice he added, "I'm not risking being alone with five hormonal teenage girls. Besides, you do this or I tell everyone about your *little* infatuation." Mamoru visibly paled. "You wouldn't." "Try me." "Yeah, I'm in." Mamoru said, turning to the group, but not before eyeing Motoki with a I'll-get-you-later-better-enjoy-the-last-ten- minutes-of-your-life look. "Great!" Rei passed out some paper while Usagi handed out pens. "Write down your name then fold the paper," Ami instructed as she placed her paper in the middle. Everyone else followed suit then Usagi mixed up the pile. "Everyone pick a peice of paper, but don't let anyone else see who you got. It's no fun if you do." Usagi wagged her finger playfully. "We know how to do it, baka." Rei retorted, grabbing a peice of paper. Everyone else slowly picked a peice of paper, Minako taking the longest choosing between the last two peices. "Okay, you can open them," Ami said, opening her slip. "Oh Kami-sama..masaka..." Usagi whispered, looking at her paper, then looking again to be sure this wasn't some sick joke. "Doushita no, Usa-chan?" Minako asked. "Nothing, I just remembered I gotta be home early today." Jumping up, Usagi thrust her slip of paper into her pocket and raced out of the arcade, leaving six very stupified people in her wake. "Alright then..." Rei said, tearing her paper up so no one could read it. "I should get started, only twelve more days till Christmas!" Minako said, a little too loudly. "May I?" Makoto giggled, tucking her paper into her shirt. Standing, she offered her hand to Minako. "You may." Putting her paper in her pocket she took Makoto's hand. "One...two...three..." "On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me. A Partridge in a pear tree! On the second day of Chistmas my true love gave to me-two turtle doves, and a Partridge in a pear tree! On the...." Their giggling and horrible singing followed them out of the arcade. "Idiots; I'm surrounded by idiots," Rei murmered, dragging Ami out of the arcade with her. "Well Mamoru-kun, who did you get?" Motoki asked, peeking over his friend's shoulder. Reacting quickly, Mamoru shoved his paper in his pocket. "None of you buissness," he huffed and stode out of the arcade. Motoki watched him leave and looked back down at his paper. "Wonder who he got that has him so edgy?" ********** That's it for part one... We hope to have this done by Christmas Eve... I promise we're tryin!! Send any comments at all to us!! Bethany212@aol.com LilBit8318@aol.com
