I had fun writing 'A Pink Haired Demon' so I've decided to return to the land of First Season 'Fics...and write another time paradox. ONLY, this one includes...well, you'll see. This 'fic takes place right after the episode where Ami-chan is discovered to be Sailor Mercury-chan. The characters are not mine, but the story is. Now I'm planning to make a whole series of Paradoxes that all combine in the first season...what do you think? E-mail me!!! Now...on to the show!!! ************************************** Princess Serenity...1000 Years Later?! ************************************** By Katelyn Birmington ************************************** Serenity gathered up her skirts and ran, ran, RAN as far away from her nagging mother as she could. "Be a proper princess, Serenity," she muttered sarcastically. "Do this, Serenity. I thought I could do what I wanted! I have less freedom than a...than a CAGED BUNNY!" Setsuna listened with worry from the shadows. She had only recently fixed up her goof-up with Chibiusa going too far back in time...Serenity BETTER not pull anything... Almost as if Serenity read her thoughts, she pulled out the Time Key. "NO!" Setsuna shouted, running out from the trees she was hidden in and snatching the key. Serenity looked up in surprise and blushed. "Setsuna! I was simply," she snatched the key back, shining it on her skirt, "polishing the Time Key! Yeah! That's it!" Setsuna groaned, taking the key back again and getting into a tug of war. "SERENITY!" she yelled. Serenity glared up at her. "I hate my life! I want to go forward in time to when Endy and I have our OWN kingdom, someday faraway and then I won't be nagged by MOTHER!" she grumbled. Displaying a large amount of strength and skill, she twisted the key away from Setsuna and held it into the air. "Crystal key, take me into the future!" she shouted. She disappeared with a flash of light. "Shimatta," Setsuna cursed, dusting herself off. "This is not a good thing. Pluto planet power, make-up!" She transformed and teleported to the Time Gate. She looked around. The Gates were open and Serenity was not there. "Serenity-sama!" she shouted. "Oh, lord. What if she ends up in Crystal Tokyo? What if she ends up in MODERN-DAY Tokyo? SERENITY- SAMA!!!" she shouted down the time warp. If Serenity heard her, she chose not to answer. *** Tsukino Usagi groaned, throwing her pencil across the room. It landed on Umino's head and she started to giggle, attracting Haruna's attention. "Tsukino-san?" she asked sternly. "Pay attention!" "Like I ever would," Usagi muttered. "Hai, Haruna-sensei!" From the back of the room, Mizuno Ami looked up from her book to smile at her new friend. Usagi smiled back and went back to her worksheet... and promptly drifted out. Meanwhile... Serenity landed, HARD, on the concrete sidewalk and looked around. She saw nothing familiar...strange, box-like things moved on the streets, the buildings were lit with things other than candles... hmm, something was wrong. "Something's wrong," she whispered, holding her Time Key protectivly to her chest. "Setsuna's gonna KILL me." She heard foot- steps behind her and slid into the bushes as about ten people walked by. "Obviously I'm not dressed with the times..." She attempted to turn her skirt into pants, but it still looked old-fashioned and silly compared to what she had seen the women wearing in this time. She finally realized that she was leaning against a brick wall and turned around to see a copper plate with a name. 'Azabu College...' she wondered to herself. "That's not a familiar name to me." "USAGI-CHAN! I've told you not to skip school!" Luna's voice rang out above her, on top of the wall. Serenity groaned. "I go to get away and Luna-chan finds me already," she muttered to herself. She looked up. "Okay, Luna-chan, I'll go back now. Please don't tell Mother or Setsuna I've been gone," she answered calmly, thinking that she would just disappear again after Luna left. Luna glanced at her oddly. "Usagi-chan? Are you okay? How could I tell your mother...and who is Setsuna?" Serenity looked up at her. "You don't know Setsuna-sama?!" she gasped, looking closely at Luna. "You are Luna-chan. Hmm...who is this Usagi-chan you've been talking about?" Serenity finally stood up and Luna gasped. She was about fifteen (older than Usagi), with the royal moon hairstyle down to the floor and a long white down on her slender figure. "Who are you?" Luna asked. "Wait, you're the Moon Princess we're searching for!" Serenity glanced up at her again, surprised. "Come on, you'd better dress in something more appropriate...no wonder you were hiding in the bushes! You can help us defeat the Dark Kingdom!" Serenity gasped and ducked back down into the bushes again, with Luna looking at her strangely. "Beryl's cult is still around?" she asked timidly. Luna nodded and Serenity whimpered. "That woman SCARES me. She says she'll kill Mother and I know she won't but it's just so SCARY!" Instead of wailing, however, Serenity sniffled and wiped her eyes on her handkercheif. "Luna-chan, you obviously need me, so I'll help you... may I ask...where on the moon am I?" Luna glanced suspiciously at Serenity. "You're not on the moon, girl, you're on Earth. In Tokyo. In the year 1992." (AN: That's the official year Sailormoon started...so, that's the year it is) "WHAT?!" Serenity practically shouted. "1000 years into the future! Ho boy, I was right. Setsuna IS gonna kill me." She glanced at Luna. "Can you get me some period clothes to wear?" she asked. Luna nodded and dashed off, leaving a scared princess in the bushes. She returned sometime later with a pink skirt and a cute blue t-shirt with a bunny on the pocket. Serenity dashed off to a bathroom and changed into the strange clothes and walked out again. "Should I take my hair out of the royal hairstyle?" she asked Luna. Luna nodded as Serenity undid her odangos and instead braided her hair. She looked like a normal teenager. "Come on...I can get Usagi-chan to let you stay with us, Serenity-sama," Luna bowed, leading the girl along. On their way, they passed the college entrance. Chiba Mamoru was engrossed in his book when he bumped into a blond fifteen-year-old young lady who was staring at him with a stupor. "Endymion?" she asked. He looked up, shrugged his shoulders, glanced curiously at her face, and shrugged again. "Odango?" he asked. "Is that you without the odango style?" Serenity looked annoyed. "Odango? I should HOPE not!" she snapped. "My name is Serenity!" He shrugged again, going back to his book and leaving. "Well, I'll be! I didn't know that Endymion of this time was so...so RUDE!!!" "Endymion?" Luna questioned. Serenity just shrugged, just like Mamoru had moments earlier. "Nothing, Luna-chan. Show me this Usagi of yours." Luna shrugged and led her on her way. *** Setsuna waited in the padded green chair for Neo-Queen Serenity to come. NQ Serenity bounced along the hallway and entered the room with a regal air about her - which dropped as soon as she saw it was Setsuna. "Setsuna-san!" she squealed. "What brings you here to Crystal Tokyo?" Setsuna smiled grimly and motioned for her to sit down. She started to tell her story. When she finished, Neo-Queen Serenity looked startled. "Well, Setsuna, she's not here, but if she turns up, Endymion and I will know who to call," she told her friend. Setsuna nodded and waved her time staff. 'If she goes back to the Beryl year like Small Lady did...?" Setsuna wondered. "Shimatta. It's going to cause another paradox." She grunted as she appeared outside the Crown Fruit Palor. "Okay, we have where, but WHEN..." She walked inside... *** Serenity stood nervously on the front steps of Usagi's house, twiddling her thumbs and staring down at Luna. "Now I ask if Usagi-chan is there and then I tell her that you have found the Moon Princess and that I need to stay with you?" she asked. Luna nodded and pointed her paw at the doorbell. Serenity eyed it for a moment before pushing it in. "I'LL GET IT!!" they heard a shout, a shout that sounded very much like Serenity. The door was opened by a golden-haired girl with her hair in the royal moon hairstyle. Serenity gasped. "Konnichi wa!" the girl grinned at her. "Oh, Luna-chan!" She picked up the cat and stared at Serenity. "Who are you?" "Usagi-chan? Luna-chan has found the Moon Princess. I will help. Meanwhile, I need to stay with you," Serenity said slowly. Usagi shrugged. "Well, okay, I'll try," she nodded, walking toward her parents. A heated discussion could be heard and Serenity found herself tapping her foot in impatience. "Luna-chan, I think something's wrong," she whispered finally when the argument had no hopes of stopping. "Why is that, Serenity-sama?" "Because SHE is the Moon Princess of this time, NOT me." Luna could only stare in amazement. "Usagi-chan? The MOON PRINCESS?" she started to giggle. "I can't image our Usagi-chan EVER being as regal as you are, Serenity- sama." "None the less, she is the Princess and the one you are looking for, which means she must be reunited with the Endymion of this time," Serenity had a gleam in her eye that Luna did not like. "This means... I get to do a lit-tle matchmaking!" Her smile grew wider and Luna realized that Usagi would have probably said the same thing. "Okay, maybe you two aren't ALL that different..." she muttered softly. Serenity slept in the attic on a bed less comfortable then the one she used in the Moon Kingdom. "Shimatta," she hissed. "Luna-chan?" she asked when she saw a cat-shaped black shadow on the wall. "Not Luna-chan," an evil voice snickered. "But Terrala!" Serenity recognized the name - one of Beryl's youmas that Endymion had captured the week before this disaster. She did the only thing that a princess could do in that situation. She threw her locket, containing a small bit of the Silver Imperium Crystal, at the youma. It blew up and the crystal slowly came back to her hand. "Wow, a youma...why me?" "Because, Princess, they know," Setsuna whispered from behind her. "Beryl knows you have come forward in time and does not like it." Serenity jumped high. "Setsuna! You scared me! You CAN'T take me back now, though, Setsuna! I have to get this time's Serenity and Endymion together or I'll be plagued for LIFE!" Setsuna hushed her and thought grimly, 'One more Moon child meddling around and getting Usagi and Mamoru together and I'm going to quit this job.' Outloud, she said, "Serenity-sama, I degress, you MUST go back to your regular time!" "You can't order me, Setsuna," Serenity mumbled. She glanced out the window. Even though it was midnight, there were still people walking by the Tsukino house toward a festival nearby. One of them was her Endymion-lookalike. "Oooh! I know!" she pulled her coat out of the closet and slipped it on, dashing downstairs. Setsuna sighed and shook her head. She pounded on Usagi's door. "Usagi-chan? Usagi-chan?" she cried. There was no answer and she started to worry before she heard a meow behind her. "She's not a light sleeper," Luna explained. "Go in." Serenity did so, shaking the girl awake. "Usagi-chan, let's go to the festival! The all-night one! I saw Princess Mercury-chan going there too, and Princess Mars-chan will probably be there too if you're lucky. Not to mention my Endymion." Usagi glanced at her. "Fine, we'll go...but my parents aren't going to like it...we'd better sneak out." At Luna's protest, she turned and glared. "You KNOW there's going to be a youma attack - they LOVE festivals like that." "That they do," Serenity agreed. "So why don't we get there ahead of time?" Usagi asked sweetly. Luna sighed and they all crept out the window. *** Like it? Hate it? Know it's not much, but next chapter will have some action. Thanks for reading!!!
