Hiya peoples! This my first fanfic (wait, don't go away!), so 
please, don't make the flames too hot. This is a first season romance, so 
Darien and Serena DISLIKE (notice I put dislike and not hate) each other 
and do not know each other's identies. I'm sure you're tired of me, so 
on to the story!

	"Oh, I can't wait 'til tonight!" Serena exclaimed. 
	 "Yeah, tonight's that big party at the arcade," Lita said,blushing. 
	 "Come on, you guys, we have to go get ready!" Minashouted excitedly.
	 "Oh, brother," Luna mumbled. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*2 hours later~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
	"I've gotta say, we all look pretty good," Mina said. She was
wearing an orange strapless dress that went a little below the
knees with a matching bow and orange earrings. Lita was wearing
a green spagetti strap dress that was a bit low cut, but not too low,
that went up to her knees with her rose earrings. Amy was 
wearing a baby blue dress that had a slit that went up to her 
knees with matching gloves and blue earrings. Raye was wearing 
a Japanese-type red outfit with matching gloves and red dangly 
earrings. Serena was wearing a long, white strapless dress with 
diamond earrings and a gold pearl braclet. 
     "I definitely got to agree with you there Mina," Lita said. 
     "Alright girls, let's go knock 'em dead!" Raye cheered. They grabbed 
their coats and headed for the door.

	They soon arived at the arcade and spotted Andrew instantly. 
	"Hey, girls " Andrew greeted. 	"Hi, Andrew" they said in unison. 
	"Do you happen to know where the guys are?" Raye asked. 
	"Yeah, I think they're over by the refreshment table" he answered.
	"Okay, thanks. See you later, Serena." Lita replied. They walked 
off and left Serena by herself. She sighed and sat down. 
	Serena soon noticed that someone had stopped in front of her 
and offered his hand. "Would you like to dance?" he asked. 
Serena, shocked just nodded her head and accepted his outstreched 
hand as they walked to the dance floor. 
	"Hey Serena, I didn't know you could dance," the man complimended.
	"Thanks, Darien" she answered.
	When the song had ended, Raye noticed Serena and Darien 
talking. Her jaw dropped.  What are they doing talking to each other? I 
thought they hated each other! she wondered. 
	"See you later, Serena" Darien said. 	"Bye, Darien" she replied shyly. 
	"So Serena, what's up with you and Darien?" Mina asked. 
	"Nothing," she said quickly while blushing. She gave Serena a 
look but shrugged it off and went to find the other girls. 
	As everyone danced the night away, no one noticed that it began to snow. 
	Suddenly, a window burst open and heavy winds blew in, making 
chaos. The wind was so strong that it blew Serena's "meatballs" out of 
them, so her hair hung limply down her back.The guys closed the window 
and shut it tight. Then Andrew and Darien saw Serena's hair and gasped. 
Andrew reluctantly tore his eyes from Serena to go open the door. Darien 
however, just kept staring at her.
	"Hey, the door's stuck!" Andrew exclaimed. Darien was then 
brought back from reality at the sound of that and groaned before a smile 
spread across his features. He was going to be spending the night...in an 
arcade...with Serena!  
	"Don't worry, we've got extra blankets inside the basement, so 
we can sleep up here and in the restaurant that was just built." Andrew said. 
	Oh, great. Serena thought. I have to spend the night in the 
arcade with a bunch of strangers, and...Darien. Her face lit up at the last 
thought. Maybe this won't be so bad after all she thought. 
	Everyone got blankets and found a place to sleep. Andrew 
turned the lights out and everyone got comfortable. But Serena couldn't 
get comfortable or sleep. Darien noticed this and asked her what was the 
matter. 	"I'm too scared to go to sleep," she wimpered. 
	"Hey, it's all right." He hestiated a moment before continuing. 
"Why don't you come lay down here...with me?"
	Serena was shocked, but was happy inside. She hesitantly 
walked over and layed next to Darien. Soon, he noticed she was shivering. 
He got closer and held her to get warm. She snuggled in his embrace 
and sighed. Darien smiled and soon both were fast asleep. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The next morning~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
	Serena awoke and saw Darien's shirt. She wonderend what he 
was doing next to her. Memories of last night's events flooded her mind. 
She then smiled and went back to sleep.
	Andrew awoke and decided to try the door again. After pushing a 
few times, it budged. "Hey everybody, the door's open!" he shouted. 
People then started to wake up and shuffled to the door. 
	Serena heard Andrew and tried to get Darien up. "Darien...Darien 
wake up," she whispered into his ear. Darien groggily opened his eyes and 
looked up to see Serena next to him. "What is it, Serena? Is something wrong?" 
	She smiled. "No, nothing's wrong. Andrew got the door open. 
And...I wanted to thank you for keeping me warm and protected."
	"It was nothing," he replied with a smile. "Besides, I like feeling 
of you next to me," he slipped before he could grasp it. Once he realized
what he said, he blushed bright red and turned his face away. Serena was 
shocked but stared at him lovingly. 
	He didn't notice. Changing the subject, he replied "Um, maybe 
we should be heading out. You're friends are probably wondering where 
you are." She nodded. They started heading for the door when they 
spotted Amy, Raye,Lita and Mina. 
	"Hey Serena, where did you sleep?" Mina asked. 
	"Yeah, we were looking for you, but couldn't find you," Lita replied. 
	"We were worried that you might be freezing, since it was pretty 
cold last night," Any replied.
	"Oh, don't worry. I slept somewhere quite warm, actually," she 
replied, looking in Darien's direction. He wasn't paying attention.
	"So Serena, are you and Darien an item?" Raye asked, giving 
Serena a look. At the mention of his name, Darien listened to their 
conversation.	"For your information Raye, Darien and I are not, and I repeat 
NOT an item," Serena shot back. Oh, I'll change that he thought. 
	"Serena, would take a walk with me?" Darien asked.
	"Sure, Darien. Bye girls!" she replied as they made their way toward the door.
	Once Serena and Darien were out of earshot, Mina turned to the
other girls. "I don't believe them, do you?" she asked. The girls shook their 
heads.	"Let's follow them," Lita replied. All the girls went after Serena 
and Darien except Amy. 	"It's wrong to spy on them." Amy said. 
	"Oh, come on Amy. It'll be fun!" All three girls litterally dragged 
poor Amy out of the arcade and down the path to where Serena and Darien
were walking hand in hand.

	Darien and the girls soon found themselves in the park. When 
Darien and Serena passed the rose garden, he stopped to pick a red rose 
from a rosebush and put it in Serena's hair. She blushed and they resumed
walking down the dirt path. "You look beautiful with your hair down like that," 
Darien complimented. 
	Serena blushed and looked down while mumbling, "Thank you."
Darien smiled. They walked over to the little bridge where he stared over at 
the frozen water below. 	"Serena, can I tell you something?" Darien asked. 
	"Sure, what is it?" 
	Darien sighed. "Serena, I like you. I've always liked you, but I 
just didn't realize it then. You see, every time I saw you, I always got this 
funny feeling inside that I just couldn't describe. It's like...if I didn't see you 
at least once a day, I can guarntee you that it was an automatic bad day for 
me. Andrew noticed that I could be in a bad mood while talking to him, but 
as soon as you came into the arcade, I was happier than a kid with a 
lifetime supply of hot fudge sundaes. He was starting to think I was crazy. 
And I was. I was crazy for you. I realized something not too long ago. Do 
you know what it is?" She shook her head, puzzled. "I love you, Serena. I 
love you more than life itself. Was there ever a time that you loved me or 
much less, loved me?"
	Serena had shock written across her face and tears welled up in 
her eyes. "Yes, Darien. I had always felt that way about you, too. I just 
never confronted you about it because I was afraid of rejection. I have 
always loved you and I will continue to love you...now and forever." she 
replied as tears rolled down her rosy cheeks. Darien smiled and kissed 
her tears away. First on her cheeks, then the corners of her mouth, and 
finally her lips. They stayed that way for quite some time as both savored 
the feeling of their lips pressed against each other. Both Darien nor Serena
heard the crying bushes nearby...

	"How...romantic," Mina choked between sobs. 
	"Ditto. I never knew...Darien...could be so...romantic!" Lita then 
burst into tears. 
	"Me neither...I always thought he was...cold hearted. What would 
make this...even more perfect...is a romantic...k-kiss " Raye replied through 
tears. 	"Then...look up" Amy said before her body racked with sobs. 
Through blurred visions, they saw Darien and Serena sharing an earth - 
shattering kiss. They all sighed and fainted. Neither one saw Darien and 
Serena finally break the kiss and stroll down the path, arms wrapped 
around each other so protectively, that nothing could ever break them apart.
