Hey everybody!  This is Ice-Princess.  This is my newest fic!  I just want to remark on "Forever Destiny: Finding my Eternity".  I want e-mail!  If I don't get anything one that story by the next updates, I'm going to abandon it.  Okay?  Well now onto my newest fic.  This is going to be a shorter story, mainly about the way Serena sees Darien one afternoon in the park. Serena want's to cheer him up, but then his "girlfriend" shows up! It's a simple romance with no definite ending, so I can add onto it if I want.  So here it is...

I remember how you were last autumn,
Calm, with a quiet heart.
Your eyes the color of sweet blue hyacinth.

I wanted to journey your eyes
back to your distant autumn.
But I became entranced with my world as the
sun's rays fell in the fold of my pale blue dress,
and upon my long golden tresses.

Mute, you are not, my friend; 
but silent now with sorrow
The light entangles you.
The roots of your soul are full of fire.
Your well hidden sorrow reaches the surface once more.

I feel your hidden pain.
Like a climbing vine, my arms embrace you.
Tears, the water of your soul, flow freely.

Darien
'Of all the days for me to be alone, this is by far the worst.  Why did Andrew have to work?  Why did my physics class have to be canceled? Why?  Oh well.  Right now I just need to find something to occupy me.  Maybe if I go to the park I'll be distracted.  Anywhere is better than here'

Serena
'Maybe I should go to the park today.  The arcade's gonna be packed and if I stay here I might catched the flu along with the rest of the family.  What to wear, what to wear?  Maybe my pink gingham  dress.
No, how about my blue sun dress.  Yea, that would work.'

Narrator
Serena walked down to the park slowly, taking in the beautiful scenery.  Meanwhile, Darien had allready arrived at the bridge and was looking over the edge sorrowfully contemplating his current situation.  Suddenly a bouncing blonde hopped onto the bridge.  Darien didn't even seem to notice her as he gazed quietly onto the shimmering waters below.  He gazed sadly as a golden brown maple leaf landed on the silvery suface, causing small ripples to spread across the still surface.  

Serena
'Darien looks so sad!  I wonder what's wrong? he doesn't even notice me.  His eyes, so sad, so blue.  Like they were last year around this time.  I wish I knew what he is thinking, what could possibly make him so sad.  I've gotta investigate.  But I've got to be mature about this, since it obviously isn't something small that could affect a proverbial brick wall like Darien so upset.  I really want to help.'

Darien
'Sixteen years ago today, I lost my mother, my father, and my entire life; and to this day, I still cannot find them.  Darien Chiba.  That's the name the doctors told me was mine.  My birthday is August third.   All my existing family is dead.  That's what they told me.  But is it really true?  Is my name really Darien Chiba?  Is my birthday really August third and is all my known family really dead?  These thoughts are following me like a bad odor, never quite leaving, not even when I don't think about them for weeks, even months.  Yes indeed, they're always there, lingering in the back of my mind.  I thought I heard a noise, I wonder what it is.  Wait a minute, long golden hair, pale face, bright blue eyes, meatballhead!  The one person who can keep me preoccupied!'

"Hey meatballhead, what are you doing here?"  Darien strained to be upbeat.  Serena tried hard not ot acknowledge the first part of his comment.
"Darien, what's wrong?  Why are you here all by yourself?"
'He's not going to tell me, I can feel it, his pride.'
"It is a public park isn't it?  I can stand on this bridge if I want."
'Serena's not going to give up, she would never give up one someone.'
"Darien what's wrong.  You can tell me."
'He's gonna tell me if he want's to get out of here alive.'
'I'm gonna have to tell her if I want to get out of here alive.'
"Hey Darien!  Oh my, excuse me ma'am, do I know you?"
'Who is this?! Darien, who is this?'
'Oh no, Lina!  Don't go Serena, please!'
