Hi, minna! Here is chapter two of my story! I hope that you are enjoying this. Sailor Moon does not belong to me, and never will, and I am not making any profit off of this story, so please don't sue me. More AN's at the bottom, so you'll actually read the story... Emerging Of A Princess Chapter Two by: Sailor Starlite Darien looked at Serena, who had such a serious look on her small face. "Serena? What is it that is so important?" He asked. Serena bit her lip. She knew that she was safer around Darien, but if she told him that she was a princess, then he might treat her differernt. She didn't want him too. She wanted him to like her for who she was right now. She liked him...she truly did. "I...I really don't feel well, and I'm not sure why. Do you think you might be able to figure it out? I didn't want to tell anyone, but since I fainted in your arms, I thought I could trust somebody." Darien smiled at that. "Well, Serena, I can't do anything myself, but tell me what's wrong, and maybe I can figure out something to help or find someone who can help you." He waited patiently for her to gather herself together. Serena knew that she couldn't tell him the truth. So she decided to tell him the symptoms of her energy loss, due to her spirit not having a connection to this Earth. "Well, I get light-headed and dizzy, and as you can see...I faint." She gave him a small grin. "Well, it seems like you haven't been eating alot lately, Serena. Howabout I take you out to dinner? My treat." She looked at him, surprised at his offer. He looked at her sideways, and she saw the faintest hint of a blush on his cheeks. "Don't take this the wrong way, Serena, but I have always liked you. I just never knew when I would get the opprutunity to tell you. Now with you falling into my arms, I thought I would grab this opprutunity to tell you. Would you want to go out with me tonight? On a date?" Serena smiled, and threw herself into his arms, giving him a huge hug. "Of course, Darien! You know...." she said, staring down at the floor. "I've always liked you too. I just never knew how to say it." Darien hugged her tight against him, and she sighed happily. Maybe it would turn out okay....him loving her for who she was, and not a princess. Darien took her by the hand and led her into the mall. "Now, we are going somewhere fancy. I wanted to surprise you, but I aslo wanted you to look perfect. So, what do you say we find a dress that is almost as gorgeous as you?" Serena blushed. Serena finally stopped in front of a simple white dress, with a pattern of light pink roses woven into the fabric. There was a pair of white shoes to match. It went down past her knees, and it brough out the color of her blue eyes and blonde hair. Darien thought she looked like an angel. They bought it, and she put it on immediatly, not wanting to be late for their "reservations." Serena looked with wide eyes at the place that Darien took her to. The only word she could think to describe it at the moment was posh. It had a doorman and everything at the door. She looked at the sign over the awning, and her eyes widened even more. The Moonlit Terrace was the most exclusive restaruant in the world, or one of the top ones. People came from all over just to eat here. She looked at Darien with a suspicious look on her face. "Darien, just *how* did you get reservations? I heard you have to book at least six months in advance!" Darien blushed and gave her a sheepish grin. "The owner here owed me something from years back. I told them that they didn't, but they insisted, saying that I could use the invitation one day, and here is that day." He smiled down at her, and he offered her his arm. "Shall we go in my lady?" He asked. Serena giggled, and followed him inside. Serena's eyes widened when she saw the interior of the establishement. It was not just a restaraunt, but a dance and hotel. Darien motioned for a waiter, who led them over to a private table, secluded in the corner, dimly lit by candles. Serena loved it....and the fact that she would be alone with Darien...whom she was starting to fall for...hard.... DARIEN'S VIEW As I led Serena over to the table, I saw a strange sort of joy in her eyes. Could it possibly be because of...me? I hardly dared to think so. We sat across from eachother at the private table, but it was so small, we were practically sitting next to eachother, which I truly did not mind at all..... I glanced at the menu, and I saw Serena looking at hers. I orderd the filet migion, well done, and a baked potato. Serena ordered the beef stir-fry with a vegetable medly (except carrots). For desert we ordered the triple chocolate ice cream desert that they were famous for. While we waited for the food to be served, I led Serena out on to the dance floor, where a song was just starting to play. (just think instrumental) SERENA'S VIEW I stared up at Darien when he lead us onto the dance floor. The music was soft and romantic, and it felt so right to be with him. My natural grace from when I was Serenity was present during the dance, so I didn't embarrass him by tripping over my feet or any such thing. He pulled me in close, and I let my head rest on his shoulder, arms encircling his neck. It was magical. And then, the guilt set in. Endymion...how could I be falling in love with Darien when Endymion was waiting for me? My soul-mate, the one I had died for me, to protect me. I sighed unhappily, and Darien sensed my unease. He paued in the dancing, and led me over to the table, where our dinner was just starting to arrive. "Serena, what is wrong? You seem unhappy. Did I do something wrong?" He asked, and I saw the sadness in his eyes, as if my rejection would kill him. I smiled sadly. "No, you haven't done anything wrong, Darien. This...this is just so perfect." he smiled at me, and my heart warmed a thousand times over. I knew I loved Darien. End Serena's View After dinner was finished, Darien realized how late it was. "Serena, is there a specific time you have to be home?" Serena shook her head. "I was supposed to be having a meeting at the temple tonight...." Her voice trailed off. "Raye is gonna fry me!" She muttered, knowing that the priestess would not be happy to discover the reason why Serena skipped out on the meeting. Just then, a beeping sound was heard from the purse at Serena's side. Darien wondered why Serena had a pager, but he figured it was in case her mother or someone else needed to REALLY get a hold of her. She smiled at Darien. "That would be Raye. Can you take me to the Temple? Please? I had a fantastic time with you Darien, I truly did. But this is a study session, a very important one, and Raye needed me over there." Darien pulled Serena in close. "I don't want to let you go." He said suddenly, and Serena was surprised by the force of emotion in his voice. He leaned down and kissed her hair. "I think I love you, Serena." He whispered. Serena was stunned. Suddenly, her communicator started going off again, and a loud crash was heard outside the buiding, and fire seemed to flare out of nowhere. Serena knew exactly what was happening. She turned to Darien, and stood up as high as she could and kissed his lips lightly. "I'll be right back, Darien. I'm going to freshen up, okay? Don't leave me." He pulled her in tighter, and kissed her strongly. "I won't Serena." She winked at him and walked off to the bathrooms, where she made sure had no people in it, before she pulled out her brooch and chanted the words to her transformation. "Moon Prism Power, Make-up!" (Yes, I will use japanese attacks and transformations.) In a flurry of ribbons and light, Serena let the full power of the moon wash in and over her. When she transformed, it was one of those moments where she truly felt like her true self again. She teleported out ot the bathroom to the scene of the battle. Darien felt the tugging on his soul that indicated that Sailor Moon had transformed. He felt torn, for he had made a promise to Serena that he would not leave. But he had his duty to perform. He tried his hardest to block the need to transform, but it was inevitable. Within seconds, Tuxedo Mask had replaced Darien Shields. Sailor Moon saw Mars giving her a dirty look, but she ignored it, knowing that there were more imortant things to concentrate on at the moment than the warrior's temper. She focused on the enemy, and saw that it was huge, and furry. It already had burnt fur, from where Mars had attacked it. There came a high shout from the right, and Serena made out the words, "Supreme Thunder". Jupiter had arrived, and with her attack of lightning, another piece of the youma was fried. It was time for her chance. She pulled off her tiara, which she *knew* would not finish off the monster. She instead aimed the tiara at the youma, and a bolt of raw moon power with it, invisible to the eyes, but if Mercury had pulled out her computer, she would see that enormous power. The youma fell apart in a shower of sparks, turning to the cold dust that quickly blew away. She glanced out of her eye to the right, and saw Tuxedo Mask staring at her intently. She swallowed. Tuxedo Mask had seen that power. She quickly ran off to avoid the tounge-lashing from Mars, and teleported back to the bathroom turning back into Serena Tsukino on the way. She calmly walked out, running into Darien at the same time. Darien was deeply troubled. He saw the amount of power Sailor Moon has released on her own, not just from the tiara she wore. He saw a silver aura encompass her, and the light of a crescent moon appear on her forehead for a few seconds. Did that mean Sailor Moon was his princess? But what about Serena? For he knew he loved her. Serena and Darien were not sure of what to do of what was happening in their problem filled lives, but knew that they were drawn together like a magnet. Darien refused to let Serena out of his site until she was safely at the temple. He told her as much. When they finally reached Raye's house, Darien leaned over to Serena, and took her face gently in his hands, kissing her lips with all the passion that he had held inside of him since the first day they met. When they finally seperated, they were out of breath, but contented beyond all knowing. Hmm...please give me suggestions for this story! E-mail me at JupiterLightning@yahoo.com
