!Hola, Minna-chan! This is the much demanded (**very** much demanded!) sequel to my story "Truths." I really didn't think that it would be that popular, but thanks to your support, I've written a second part! This is called "Truths, Secrets Revealed." I was expecting this to be out in a couple of months or so, but once I started writing it, I couldn't stop! Thanks so much to all the people who wrote me! I have never gotten so much mail about a short story. If you have not read my story "Truths" then I suggest you do. This story will make *much* more sense if you do. ****This time, this takes place in the episode "A Crystal Clear Destiny." It's the episode where Serena is found to be the Moon Princess. I have a lot of things from that episode in here, but I've changed a lot of it too. (Like Serena and Darien know each other's identities.) Oh! Raye and Darien never dated in my fic! I absolutely hate that they did that in the Anime!**** Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters that I put in this story. Rating: G-PG. Again, this is pretty mild. A little fighting, but mostly romance. TRUTHS, SECRETS REVEALED THE SEQUEL TO TRUTHS ******************************************************************************** Serena sighed as she fingered the blood red rose in her hands. She brought the flushed flower up to her nose and inhaled it's luscious sent. It smelled so much like Darien to her that it made her feel giddy. It still seemed a little unreal to her that he was Tuxedo Mask, but she really liked the idea. Putting the blossom into a vase, she laid down on her bed. It had been an exhausting day. They had just found their final Scout and had also discovered that they their Negaverse problem had increased, a new general had showed up at the fight that evening. Serena pushed the thoughts out of her mind. She didn't need to think about the Negaverse at that moment. She was more concerned with the fact that Tuxedo Mask hadn't come to rescue her from them until it was almost too late. She looked at her phone wearily and wondered if she should call him. Luna wasn't around, so she wouldn't question her or want to know why she was calling someone she supposedly hated at five in the morning. They hadn't told anyone about their relationship; not even the Scouts. Most of them were still wondering whether or not Tuxedo Mask was an enemy; they'd have a litter of kittens each if they found out Serena was dating him. Serena sighed and picked up the receiver. She dialed the number she had already memorized and waited for him to pick up. (For those of you who don't read authors notes: you need to read the first part of this story, Truths.) ******************************************************************************** "And Darien, maybe you should have a doctor look at that shoulder. You don't look so good. Must be painful!" Zoisite laughed as she disappeared off of Darien's TV screen. Darien closed his eyes in distress and remembered what she had told him, 'Starlight Tower at five,' he thought as the sun came up over the horizon, illuminating Tokyo's Starlight Tower. Normally it would have been a spectacular sight, but not today. With the Rainbow Crystals and his life hanging in balance, Darien didn't see anything glorious about this sunrise. A sudden thought struck him like a ton of bricks, 'What will I tell Serena?!' As if on cue, the telephone rang. "Who could be calling so early?" he wondered out loud. Picking up the receiver, he decided that if this was anything short of the end of the world this person was going to get a piece of his mind. "This had better be good." "Darien?" came a timid voice from the other end, "Hi, it's Serena." Darien's heart froze in his chest and then began to pound blood furiously. >From the reality that *she* was calling and also the fact that she would kill him if she found out what he had agreed to do. "Hi, Sweetheart. Are you all right? Nothing's wrong is it?" he asked, his voice filled with concern. 'Is she hurt from the attack earlier? NO! Gods! Why wasn't I there earlier?!' "No, I'm ok." Darien let out the breath he was holding. "I was just calling to make sure that...*you* were ok. I-I mean," she stuttered slightly. "You didn't come to...the fight today until..." she trailed off. Darien grimaced. He knew what she was asking. 'Are you abandoning me?' He took a deep breath and told her the truth. "I did come. I came after I saw that fake Sailor Moon save the guy from falling off the building. I was running and trying to find you when I saw 'you.' It was really Zoisite, but I didn't know until it was too late. We fought and she almost had me, but Sailor Venus saved me. Then, I left to find the real you. When I did, I came out to give them the Crystals, and you know the rest from there." 'There!' Not a single lie told on his part. He just didn't tell the whole truth. Darien took a deep breath and hoped that she wouldn't ask anything else. Serena gasped when she heard the information. "Oh! I didn't know! I'm sorry, Darien! I just-" Darien cut her off with a chuckle, "You know; if I was there, I'd shut you up with a kiss right now." Serena smiled, "Yes, and I wouldn't try to stop you," she whispered back. Darien had to grin at her over the line, "Go to sleep, Serena. I'll see you tomorrow; well later today." "Alright," she told him with a pouty voice. "I love you, Meatball Head," he told her sincerely. "I love you too, Darien." With that, they both hung up their phones. Darien looked out at Tokyo Bay. "No matter what, I will protect you, Serena. I won't let Zoisite or any of the Negaverse find you, my love. Please," he looked up to the setting moon as he prayed, "I have heard that a woman named Serenity lives on the moon. Please, Serenity, protect her for me if I do not return." ******************************************************************************** Serena hung up the phone and sighed; something was bothering Darien, she wasn't a fool. He had been his, now normal, loving self to her it seemed, but Darien was the easiest person she had ever met for her to read. She could tell his emotions no matter how hard he tried to keep them hidden. Serena sighed again and lay down on her bed. She would confront him tomorrow. ******************************************************************************** Darien looked at his clock. 4:30. He inhaled deeply and then looked out the window that faced the Tower. "Time to go," he said aloud. Putting on his green blazer, he stepped out of his apartment to do something he never would have thought of doing before that day. Once outside, he placed a hand over his shoulder in an attempt to stop the pain, but to know avail. He continued to struggle down the street, hoping that he would have the strength to go to the Starlight Tower and then battle Zoisite. It was getting later and he was running out of time. ******************************************************************************** Serena ran out of the doors of Crossroads Junior High School at break neck speed. "Oh, please, please, Ms. H! I'll finish my detention tomorrow, ok? I'm really late! Even for me," she added as an after thought. Serena groaned as she realized that Raye was going to kill her when she finally got to the meeting. Serena looked up so that she was actually paying attention to what was going on around her, being careful not to run into anyone. She spotted a very familiar, and incredibly handsome, build. "Hey, there's Darien!" she said to herself. Coming up behind him, she smiled and slapped him on the back. "There's a bee on your back!" she yelled. He groaned and turned around. Putting on an innocent expression she spoke to him again, "It's gone now." Darien smiled at her, momentarily forgetting his pain and concentrating on the angel in front of him. Wrapping his arms around her tiny form he pulled her in close to him, inhaling in scent. 'This could be the last time I see her...' he thought worriedly. Pulling away, Serena looked to him with curious eyes. "Darien, are you all right? You seem...I dunno...What's wrong?" she asked him. Darien enveloped her in another hug and planted a kiss on her forehead. "No, nothing's wrong. I'm just happy to see you, that's all," he lied. 'No, that's not a total lie. I do want to see her one last time.' Serena looked at him skeptically. "Are you sure?" Serena asked. "Yes! I'm sure!" Serena took a step back. He hadn't talked to her like that in weeks. Darien shook his head and placed his hands on her shoulders, "I'm sorry, Serena. I've had a lot on my mind lately and need to be alone for a little while." Serena looked up at him with big, blue eyes. "Are you positive?" she asked. "Yes. Listen, tomorrow I'll take you out to dinner and then where ever you want after that. I really need some time alone, ok?" he told her. Serena nodded. "Sure. But if there's anything that's bothering you...I'll always have my ear open for you." Darien smiled at her, "Thank you," he whispered as he kissed her lips gently. Pulling away he saw that a blush had tainted her cheeks. "You look beautiful when you blush," he whispered to her causing her to turn even redder. He turned and began walking away. "I'll see you tomorrow." Serena nodded and stayed where she was. When he was further down the street, she narrowed her eyes at him. "Don't think that you're getting away that easily, Darien Shields! I'm no dope!" she whispered under her breath as she carefully began to follow him. ******************************************************************************** Unnoticed by either Darien or Serena, was that a girl with long blond hair was watching them. ******************************************************************************** Darien stopped walking a block away from his destination. The Starlight Tower was glittering in the setting sun. "This is it..." He whispered. "What is 'It'?!" asked a new and very familiar voice. Darien whirled around and came face to face with Serena. "Serena, what are you doing here?" he asked while keeping an eye out for anything suspicious. "Following you, idiot." She looked at him critically. "I'm not stupid Darien. I saw how you were holding your shoulder, and the pain that's in your face. *What* is going on with you?" she asked as she crossed her arms. Darien could hardly keep a straight face at the scene she made. She had her arms crossed awaiting answers like a princess. Her face was held unchanged somehow and she actually looked intimidating. "Serena- it's nothing really, Meatball Head. Please, just go-LOOK OUT!" he yelled suddenly. Serena turned around and the rest happened in slow motion. Her eyes widened in terror and shock as a huge pink ball of energy came screaming towards herself and Darien. Darien ran towards her and grabbed her arm; just before he could throw her out of the path though, the ball came faster and swallowed the two in an instant. ******************************************************************************** Three girls and one cat waited very impatiently for the arrival of their leader and the newest member of their team, Sailor Venus. Raye checked her watch for the billionth time and sighed, "Where is that airhead!?" she asked no one inparticular. "Raye, chill out!" Lita told the raven-haired priestess. "This is Serena. She's always late!" "Did you say Serena?" came a new and unfamiliar voice. Turning, the girls saw a girl who looked vaguely familiar, and yet not. She had long blond hair that was up in a large red bow and was wearing a school sailor uniform. "Is she by chance friends with a man about nineteen with black hair?" The three studied her critically before Luna spoke up. "Artemis, is that you?!" Luna asked. The girls turned to Luna in horror that she had spoken in front of a stranger, until they realized why. A white cat came out from behind the blond and smiled at Luna. "Hi, Luna! How ya been?" The girls turned to the new arrival and gaped, "Sailor Venus?" Amy asked. The girl smiled, "Yeah! Actually, I'm Mina Aino!" she told them enthusiastically. Just as suddenly, her tone became dark and serious, "And now, was the description right?" she asked again. "Huh? Oh, yeah. That's Darien Shields. They aren't friends, but it must be her. Why?" Raye asked cautiously. ******************************************************************************** Darien felt the dark energy of the Negaverse envelop his body. He looked around and saw that they were floating. He grit his teeth as the evil energy of the ball that was trying to force him to unconsciousness. He heard a gasp from his side and turned in time to catch Serena as she fell to the destructive power. Holding her close, he tried desperately to awaken her. "Come on Serena! You have to wake up! I'm sorry you got involved in this, please fight it!" He could feel that they were re-materializing to their destination. Slowly, he placed his lips on hers and whispered into her ear, "I love you..." He set her back down on the floor and kneeled over her until he could make out his surroundings again. Darien heard a short and sickeningly familiar chuckle only seconds after he and Serena reappeared. Narrowing his eyes, Darien glared coldly at Zoisite. "Hello, Darien. Hope you enjoyed the ride. I hope you've held up *your* end of the bargain." Walking forward, Zoisite placed five brightly colored gems on the floor in between herself and Darien. "I brought all five of our Rainbow Crystals." She set down the jewels and began to slowly back away from them. "I've shown you mine, now you show me yours!" she told him with a slightly commanding voice. Darien narrowed his eyes at the lackey again. 'I have to save Serena...' "No matter what, you let the girl go!" he told her vehemently. "Don't worry," Zoisite assured him in a sickeningly sweet voice, "We have *no* interest in her!" "Alright," Darien agreed reluctantly, knowing that would be the best he got. 'Let her go now! She doesn't need to be here!' Walking towards the pile of crystals Zoisite had made, Darien took out his two Rainbow Crystals and placed them with hers. "Here they are." Stepping back, he kept a careful eye on his adversary. "Ready when you are." Zoisite stood there. "What are we waiting for?!" he asked coldly. Zoisite smiled and then laughed at him. "What's so funny?!" Darien demanded. "Humans! You never learn, you're such innocents!" she told him with a sneer. Suddenly, the man that Darien had seen holding the Sailor Scouts in the dorm of dark energy the night before appeared by the seven Rainbow Crystals and took them. "YOU DOUBLE CROSSED ME!" he yelled at Zoisite. "WHAT'S HE DOING HERE?!" "Someone's got to hold the Crystals during your duel!" he told Darien coldly. Darien glared at Zoisite and spoke to her coolly, "Are you backing out on me?" Zoisite held up her hand and glared back at him, "No chance! We're having this duel, don't you worry! I've been looking forward to this for a long while!" The man in middle the room spoke up, "Zoisite, remember our orders," he commanded her. "I will," she told him almost sweetly. Darien narrowed his eyes at her and fingered the rose that he made appear in his hand. "And what were those?!" he asked as he flung it at the man. The man looked at it and disappeared, causing the rose to hit Zoisite in the face. "AAGGHHH! My face!" she yelled. Serena's eyes fluttered open as she heard Zoisite scream. Sitting up she felt her face pale. "Hey, that's Zoisite! What's Darien doing arguing with her?" she asked herself. 'Where am I? What are we doing here?' She lightly brushed her lips with her fingers and blushed as she vaguely remembered what Darien had done right after she had passed out. Serena concentrated on the matter at hand as she heard Zoisite and Darien arguing again, "I want those Crystals back here now! Winner takes all, remember?" Darien yelled to Zoisite. Zoisite scowled at Darien, "You hurt my face, and you're gonna pay for it!" She disappeared in a flash of light and flower pedals. Serena stood up behind Darien and looked around frantically, preparing for anything. "If you want those Crystals, I'll be on the roof. You've got two minuets, and if you don't show I'll assume you're no longer interested in the Rainbow Crystals," her disembodied voice called. 'What's happening? Does the Negaverse know who we are?' she thought as she clutched her brooch. "Well Darien, I hope you and your little friend are good runners," she said while the room became encased in fog. Darien stood in front of Serena protectively as the temperature dropped and icicles began to appear all around them, and above them. Just as soon as they appeared, they began to fall to the ground. One fell from directly above Serena and Darien. Darien grabbed Serena and pulled her down to the ground with him, rolling them out of danger. More and more fell as they were running, causing the floor to weaken and begin to give way. Serena called out to Darien, "Darien, what's going on?!" He didn't answer, only grabbed her wrist with his good arm and pulled her inside of the elevator. "OH! That was close!" she breathed as soon as they were in the elevator. "Hate to say this but, it's not over yet!" Darien told her. Serena looked around and saw what he meant. Feeling her fear rise, she saw that the elevator had turned in to a green plant like thing. (Really people, how do you describe that thing?) She gasped as the elevator began to move up towards where Zoisite was. Darien walked over to the window and looked out at the Tokyo Skyline. "I'm sorry, Serena. This is all my fault," he told her as he slammed a fist on the glass of the elevator window. Serena walked up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Darien, what's going on? Why are we here?" she asked him gently. Darien slid down to the ground and Serena followed him. "You aren't supposed to be here. Serena, yesterday the reason I was so late was because not only did I fight Zoisite, but she also stabbed me in the shoulder." Serena gasped and looked at it. Pulling his jacket off she saw the blood and looked up to him with horrified eyes. He pulled her close and ran a hand through her hair, but avoiding her eyes. Serena relaxed against him and let him continue. "I couldn't really fight her after that, but she kept coming. While we were fighting, my mask came off, causing her to see who I am. Venus saved me and...when I got home, Zoisite challenged me. I excepted and the prize was the Rainbow Crystals." Serena put her hand on his cheek and turned his face, making him look her in the eyes. "Why didn't you tell me? If I had know, the Sailor Scouts and I could have been here for back up," she said to him gently even though she really felt like killing him. He took her hand and kissed it. "No, I didn't want any of you to be in danger, this is my mission." He sighed when he saw that she wasn't buying it. "Serena, I love you and I don't want anything to happen to you. That's why I didn't want you to come." Serena looked at him for a moment before she smiled. "I still don't agree with it, you should have told someone. Guess it's...too late now..." Darien cupped her face in his hand, "Not too late for this," he whispered. He placed his lips on her and kissed her lovingly. Serena sighed and kissed him back with as much passion as she could. 'It's amazing that can we love each other after all those weeks of fighting. But then, we were only flirting then,' Serena thought as Darien kissed her with more and more passion. ******************************************************************************** It was near dark when four Sailor suited warriors came speeding up to the Starlight Tower. Stopping, Sailor Mercury took out her computer and activated her head set in order to get a read out on where Serena could be. Mars closed her eyes and concentrated. She didn't have to concentrate long before she found what she was looking for. "Venus is right guys. There are a lot of Nega-vibes here." The group suddenly heard a strangled cry and whipped their heads towards Mercury. "Mercury, what is it?" Jupiter asked quickly, fearing the worst. A very bright red Sailor Mercury managed to stutter out, "Um...well I've found Serena. And both she and...well...Darien are trapped in an elevator... together." Mars and Jupiter groaned, "Are they killing each other?" Mars asked with a snicker. "Pouting in separate corners?" Jupiter asked while shaking her head. "No. No, not...even close!" she told them with disbelief. The group looked at her with a 'Well then what?!' expression. "They're actually...well they're- they're........Never mind. But we need to get there quickly! If we don't she may be forced to reveal her identity to Darien!" "Or she might just dust him with her tiara," Mars muttered. The others nodded. Stepping back, Venus decided it was time for her to do something. "VENUS CRESCENT BEAM SMASH!" The others looked at the remnants in shock, before running in to find their leader. ******************************************************************************** Zoisite stood over the elevator shaft with a giant ball of fire dancing in her hands. "Well, how sweet! Hope you're enjoying it, Darien! That girl is the last thing you're ever going to feel!' she thought as she launched the blazing fireball towards the couple. ******************************************************************************** Serena and Darien were suddenly jarred out of their romantic moment by the elevator shuddering to a stop. They pulled away from each other and stood up, quickly forgetting that the Negaverse had just interrupted yet another one of their romantic moments. "What's going on? What's happening now?" Serena whispered. Darien took her hand and squeezed it gently, sending his reassurance through their laced fingers. "I don't know..." he whispered under his breath. The elevator suddenly began to turn a new color. A dark orange and yellow filled the space where the green and black was. Darien looked up and his eyes widened in surprise. He swore viciously under his breath and grabbed Serena by the waist, pulling her as close to him as possible. Serena was surprised at the intimate touch until she saw why he had grabbed her. "Oh no!" she gasped. Darien looked at her. Taking her face in his hands, he kissed her one last time. He then grabbed her around the waist again and pushed her to the ground, covering her with his body. "NO!!" Serena screamed as she tried to push him off. "You'll be killed!" was the last thing she said before the flame came upon the two. The last thing she heard however was, "I love you..." ******************************************************************************** Zoisite laughed as the elevator exploded, sending derbies flying everywhere. "That takes care of them!" she cackled. ******************************************************************************** Serena closed her eyes as she felt the fame coming closer and closer to her and Darien. 'Please, if there is any force inside of me, or anywhere in the universe, please HELP US! PLEASE, LET ME SAVE HIM!' Her body began to glow a bright, blinding silver color. ******************************************************************************** Darien tightened his hold on Serena as the flame drew nearer their bodies. 'Serenity, I know that you exist somehow. Please, you are from the Moon and she is the Sailor of the Moon; its champion. Please, aid your protector. DEFEND HER!' A brilliant gold light surround the young man. ******************************************************************************** The two energies clash together and merge, forming one giant shield of silver and gold. The energy surrounded the two lovers and did as they asked; protected them. In a flash of light, Serena and Darien found themselves lying on the top floor of what was left of the Starlight tower, behind Zoisite. Darien growled, and quickly changed into Tuxedo Mask, with Serena following his example and transforming. "Such a pity! Terrible accident!" Zoisite muttered to herself. "Oh yes," came a sarcastic voice from behind her. Zoisite whirled around and came face to face with Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask. "A terrible, terrible tragedy!" Tuxedo Mask finished cynically. "What!? But how?!" Zoisite exclaimed. "It doesn't matter," Tuxedo Mask told her. "I came here for a reason and I want those Crystals!" His eyes flashed dangerously at Zoisite, who simply smiled. "Well, is that so? Fine then. You and me. The Moon Brat can't be a part of this!" "Deal," Tuxedo Mask agreed. He began to step forward, but Sailor Moon grabbed his arm. "Don't! You don't have to protect me, Darien! Please, let's just get out of here and have Mercury find the Crystals! She'll kill you!" Sailor Moon pleaded, but to no avail. Taking her face in his hand gently, Tuxedo Mask stroked her cheek gently. "Serena, I have to protect you. I won't let anything happen to you. So please, please trust me, love." He kissed her cheek gently and turned back to Zoisite. "Let's get this over with," he told her. Zoisite nodded, "Yes. Let's..." >From somewhere behind him, Darien heard a *shink.* Turning quickly he saw a sharp edged spear hovering behind Sailor Moon. "NO!" he yelled. He began to pump his legs as fast as he could. 'I have to make it!' Sailor Moon turned around and froze. The sharp object was speeding towards her and she could not, would not move. Sailor Moon froze in terror. 'This is it...everyone, I'm sorry...Darien, I love you...' A flash of black blocked her sight. Serena wondered briefly what it was and then realized it when she heard a man scream. "DARIEN!!!!!!!!!!!" she cried. "NO!!!!!!!!! Why did you...Darien please, talk to me," she whispered as she slid to the ground and held his head in her lap. Tuxedo Mask opened his eyes and gazed into Sailor Moon's shimmering blue ones. He opened his mouth to speak, but Sailor Moon placed a gloved finger over his lips. "Shh. Don't speak. Save your strength, love." She let her eyes over flow and her tears slid down her cheeks. Zoisite stood off to the side. 'This is too good. I can kill both of them.' ******************************************************************************** The Sailor Scouts had finally made it. They were at the top floor of the Starlight Tower. All of them put an extra burst of speed during the final steps. And all of them stopped dead in their tracks. Mercury covered her mouth, Mars opened her eyes wide and gave a small cry, Jupiter felt tears well up in her eyes, and Venus grit her teeth together. Lying on the floor was Tuxedo Mask with Sailor Moon with holding his head in her lap. It was obvious that he was hurt, possibly even dying. What surprised them the most was what Tuxedo Mask looked like with out his mask. "My God," Jupiter whispered. "It's Darien!" Their next surprise was what the two were whispering to each other. Venus felt her heart ache at the beautiful words. 'They're something special. They're so much in love. No...don't let it end this way.' "They love each other..." Mars whispered in disbelief. "About time they saw that." "I think they've know, Mars," Mercury whispered as the image of the two kissing flashed across her mind. "I really think they've know." ******************************************************************************** Darien lifted his hand from his side and raised it to Sailor Moon's cheek. Brushing her tears away he spoke what he knew would probably be his last words, "Serena...I'm sorry for all the things I've said to you; for all the promises I've broken and for not being there all the time. I'm sorry. But don't forget that I love you more then life. I-I...love...you..." he whispered as his hand fell from her cheek and his body went limp. "No..." Sailor Moon whispered. "****NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!****" she screamed. Wrapping her arms around his neck she cried into his hair. An unseen force pushed her into a sitting position. Sailor Moon felt one of her tears fall from her eye and not roll down her cheek. It hovered in front of her and she watched lifelessly. Seven gems came from out of nowhere and surrounded Sailor Moon's tear. The gems came together at the soft tear and there was a bright flash of light. Sailor Moon closed her eyes. 'My Crystal...you've come to me. It is happening; I feel it. The Moon...' she thought. Opening her eyes Sailor Moon watched as the seven Rainbow Crystals merged and formed the Imperium Silver Crystal. Sailor Moon closed her eyes again as she felt a warm feeling spread through out her body. ******************************************************************************** The Sailor Scouts watched in disbelief as the Silver Crystal appeared and went to Sailor Moon's wand. Their eyes widened in wonder as Sailor Moon's Sailor suit melted away and was replaced by an elegant dress. Luna looked on in amazement and disbelief. It couldn't be... "It's Princess Serenity," she whispered hoarsely. "She's the Moon Princess?" Mars asked as she looked from the Princess to the Guardian and back. "How?" The girls watched as their friend opened her eyes and gave a sad smile. "It is her..." Venus whispered. "Our Princess." ******************************************************************************** Tuxedo Mask watched from his place on the floor. "Princess," he whispered. His eyes widened as memories and emotions flooded his senses. "Serenity..." Sailor Moon opened her eyes. "Prince. My Endymion..." she whispered. She realized that she was no longer wearing her Sailor suit. She was no longer Sailor Moon. She was Princess Serenity, the last heir to the Silver Crystal and the throne of the Moon Kingdom. Serenity and Endymion's eyes met. Endymion raised his hand to her cheek again and Serenity leaned into his caress. "I remember..." they whispered to each other. THE END? You tell me!
