A Very Tuxedo Kamen Birthday By Moon Klutz and W.Bymeeh lunap@lunap.com and Jhyunl@aol.comrat:g/pgPrologue: AN: Alternate season one...starting...now. "Come *on* Usagi-chan, I don't want to get you the usual for your birthday, I get you a new stuffed bunny every year!" Motoki whined. Usagi sighed and stared off into space a bit, smiling. "I like those bunnies Motoki-niisan!" Usagi replied. Motoki shook his head. "Come on, just scribble down a list of things you don't think your other friends will get you." he prodded. Usagi sighed and held out her hand as Motoki grinned triumphantly, handing over paper and a pen. "Alright, lets see...what do I like?..." Usagi looked around the arcade for some sort of inspiration, something, anything that her friends wouldn't normally think to get her. Her eyes passed over the Sailor V fighter game, the racing games, the sundae machine, the crane game... Pausing, her eyes moved back to the crane game, where a medium sized Tuxedo Kamen doll was sitting, nestled in among the other prizes in the glass case. Grinning, Usagi took pen to paper. Usagi's Birthday List, 1992 1. Tuxedo Kamen 2. Tuxedo Kamen 3. Tuxedo Kamen 4. Tuxedo Kamen 5. Tuxedo Kamen -Usagi Scrawling her name along the bottom, she handed the paper back to Motoki, and waited for his reaction. "Kon-wa Motoki-kun, Odango!" Mamoru stepped into the arcade before Motoki could read the paper. Calling out a friendly hello to his friend while Usagi glared at Mamoru, Motoki scanned the paper and laughed lightly. "Wow Usagi, a little particular, ne?" he joked. Usagi grinned. "Well, you said something my friends wouldn't get me, and this they would *never* get me." Usagi replied. Mamoru sat down on the stool next to hers. "Hm? Get you what Odango?" he asked. Usagi gave him a light glare and Motoki passed the paper to Mamoru. "Usagi's birthday is next week on the 30th Mamoru, and I wanted to get her something different this year, seeing as I always get her a new stuffed bunny. So I asked her to make a list of a few things her friends wouldn't think of to get her for her birthday and well..." Motoki smiled, nodding at the list. Scanning over it and the name scrawled at the bottom, Mamoru raised his eyebrows, putting on a calm face. "Set your sights pretty high, eh Odango?" he commented. "Why so interested in Tuxedo Kamen?" The question came out calm, but inside, Mamoru was very intent on her answer. 'Maybe she likes me after all...?' Usagi sighed dreamily and rested her head in her hand, elbow propped up on the counter. "*Think* about it Mamoru-baka! He's Tuxedo Kamen! He's handsome, romantic, daring, dashing, smart, fast and -" she paused before taking a deep breath, "-Ka-waiiiiiiiiiii...," she breathed. Mamoru smiled slightly on the outside while his insides did a little dance. *This* was interesting! Usagi however, was going on, oblivious to Mamoru's reaction, while Motoki smiled. "He's got this, presence thing going for him. If Tuxedo Kamen walks into a room, *everyone* notices, he's got that hair that you just want to run your hands through, and these deep eyes. I've never seen eyes that shade of blue before..." Mamoru stifled a laugh. 'Are you sure about that Odango?' he wondered silently. "And those roses! To sugoi!" Usagi trailed off with a dream-like sigh. Motoki smiled. "Sounds like you've got a pretty big thing for him." he commented. Usagi grinned. "I'm Tuxedo Kamen's biggest fan!" she said, laughing. Mamoru grinned. Now if he could only turn those affections towards *him* and not his alter ego... "How's Motoki-kun here supposed to find the elusive Tuxedo Kamen for you though, Usagi?" Mamoru asked aloud. "I mean the guy's a super hero, he's not just going to drop in one day for tea," he pointed out. Usagi smiled. "I know. But it's nice to dream, ne? Seriously though, anything Tuxedo Kamen would make me very happy." she said softly. Then standing up, Usagi stretched. "I gotta go, ja ne Motoki-niisan, Mamoru-san." she waved offhandedly over one shoulder before disappearing out the door. Mamoru set the list back down on the counter, sliding it over to Motoki. "So what're you going to get her?" he asked casually. Motoki grinned. "I think, my friend, the question is, what are *you* going to get her?" Motoki replied, sliding the list back to Mamoru, just barely a centimeter away from his hand. Mamoru was shocked. "Nani? Why would I get Odango Atama a birthday present?" he asked. Motoki grinned. "Because, I know you've got feelings for her, and you have exactly one week and a day to make up for every mean thing you've ever said to her!" Mamoru was still for a moment, then he accepted the fact that once Motoki set his mind to something, it wasn't about to leave until he felt it was perfect. Mamoru sighed, slipped the paper into his pocket, and left.
