Konninichiwa, minna! Here is chapter four. I have some ideas, so why not write them down, ne? I hope you are enjoying this. I don't own Sailor Moon, 'kay? I want to thank Alicia Blade for her input with this story, and my friend Mako-chan who is inspiration over the net. On with the fic! What's Up, Usagi? Ch. 4 by: Sailor Starlite Usagi stared at the temple walls, deep in thought. Who was this Endymion? She felt a strong connection to him, but she didn't know why. And she was very confused, fo she was sure that she loved Mamoru, although it was like a part of her was shouting out not to betray Endymion. She knew that Rei could probaly shed some light on the situation, and that was why she was at the temple now. Rei sensed the inner turmoil within her friends' heart, and it pained her that she couldn't reveal the true reason why she loved Endymion so. Perhaps she could reveal a little, enough so that Usagi could make a more steady choice to decide outcome of the war within her soul. "Usagi, here, let's go to the Sacred Fire, and I'll try and divine who this Endymion was to you. You already know that he is from your past, and that he calls you 'Serenity' so let's see if we can find some more." Usagi gave her a shaky smile. "Arigato, Rei-chan." She murmered, and went to sit in front of the flame with Rei. Rei closed her eyes for a moment, asking for the correct thing to reveal to Usagi. She finally had it, and turned to Usagi. "Well, Usagi, it seems that you and Endymion were engaged during the Silver Millinnium." Usagi could only stare at her in shock, more torn than ever. She finally thanked Rei and said something about getting a bite to eat at the Crown Fruit Parlor. Rei nodded, allowing her friend to work things out on her own. She could see the princess in Usagi emerging in small ways, and she prayed that everything would turn out okay. Usagi ran around the streets of Tokyo, trying to clear her head and heart. Why was this Endymion appearing now, right when she had Mamoru? She felt the tears streak down her face, but she ignored them and let herself cry out her feelings. She knew that their past lives were very important, and maybe her joining with this Endymion could help them find the princess faster. But that was ridiculous! Should she follow her past, and the person she was engaged to then? She couldn't! He no longer exsisted, except to say that he loved her, to act hurt when her heart betrayed her feelings for Mamoru. She knew that she couldn't be with Endymion, a figment from her past. She made up her mind. She was going to be with Mamoru. Later that night, she was resting in the spare room at Rei's temple, and she sighed, her mind made up, but her heart still tugging with an unknown force towards this mysterious Endymion, who was her fiancee in the past. The one she should be with, but the one who didn't exsist. The tugging she felt towards Mamoru, the one she loved, the one she could touch, the one who she wanted to be with *now.* She wondered if he felt the same way...he did kiss her, but what did that mean? ~~Dream~~ "Serenity! I see that you have made up your mind." Usagi turned to hear the sorrowful voice of Endymion, and her sould ached at the feeling. Why must she hurt him? Why must her heart be torn like this? She felt a hand on her shoulder, and she could see his eyes, dark blue eyes, and then his smile. "It's fine, Serenity. I understand. It is good to love the now, and not the past." He leaned in close to her, and he kissed her deeply. "Just remember me always, Serenity. I will always love you, forever and 'till the end of time." He pulled away from her then, and the mists cleared totally, leaving her to stare at...Mamoru??!! "Usa-chan! Wake up!" Usagi blinked her eyes, and stared into the concerned blue eyes of Mamoru, and she was startled to see how closely they resembled the Endymion of her dream. "Mamo-chan?" She asked groggily, then winced. She hadn't meant for that endearment to come out. He only smiled and winked, though. "Your friend Rei-chan asked me to take you out for breakfast. That you looked like you needed some cheering up. Would you do me the honor, Usako?" She giggled and blushed, and stood up. "Just let me get ready, Mamo-chan." In a few moments she was dressed for the day, and was gone with Mamoru. Rei watched them leave, and she smiled. "So, you and the prince are finally together." She knew it, but she also knew that the time hadn't come yet for them to awaken to the knowledge yet. She only hoped that it wouldn't be too late when it happened. Usagi leaned aganist Mamoru while finishing up her pancakes. She was contented, completely at ease. She looked up to see Mamoru gazing down at her tenderly. "Mamoru-kun, gomen for calling you Mamo-chan. I just...well..." She hesitated for a moment, and then seemed to gather her courage again. "I think it suits you perfectly, cause I think I love you! I mean, I don't know how, but everything feels right when I'm with you, Mamoru-kun." She looked down again, blushing fiercely, and she tilted her chin up, so she could fully see the expression in his eyes. "Usako, I love *you.* I think I fell in love with you from the start. I was hoping that we could have more of a relationship then me being your tutor. Could possibly want to go out with me, want me as your boyfriend?" Usagi nodded, tears of joy in her eyes, and he leaned down to kiss her, in the middle of everyone in the cafe. The kiss lasted for a long time, and when they finally came up for air, both were smiling happily. At that moment, Usagi's friends all came pouring into the cafe, and gathered around her and Mamoru. Minako was the first to talk. "So, what's up, Usagi-chan?" She asked. Usagi just smiled wider, and tightened her grip on Mamoru. "I just found the man of my dreams." She said, and kissed Mamoru again, lost to the rest of the world. Okay, sappy ending, ne? Gomen if it sucked! E-mail me at JupiterLightning@yahoo.com. Thanks for everyone who helped me with this!
