Title: When You Wish Upon a Star*Full Version Author: Y2Raye Rating: G Email: meeko@maxim.net AN: Konnichiwa, minna! This is the gigantimous, monumental, big version of my two-parter, "When You Wish Upon a Star". I think it looks better like this, no matter how long it takes to load. The only reason I split it was to make loading time less. But, it looks fine like this. It's not as good as I'd like it to be, but...anyway. I'm in a SuperS mood right now because I just watched the movie like ten-bazillion times. I was thinking of adding Peruru in here just for the heck of it but decided against it. You know, DiC should sell their rights to Pioneer Entertainment. The people there are very nice and own other series such as Tenchi Muyo and...I think Magic Knight Rayearth but I'm not sure...I'm babbling. Sorry. Um...I'd like to thank the people at First Love: A Sailormoon Story Archive for giving me so much inspiration for this story. I'd also like to thank masxvi, my wonderful editor, and Yuzuhaa-chan and Urioshi-chan. And Ate Christle, too. Oh yeah, I'd also like to thank Lady Starra and Alicia Blade, the people who run First Love: A Sailormoon Story Archive, for posting the many good fics at their website. I'd also like to thank my sorta-oniisan Joshua and my sorta-aneue Brie for being the great 21-year-old (oniisan) and 14-year-old (aneue) you two are. Also I have to thank the two people who's wonderful Christmas fic I read gave me so much inspiration for this story and I hope to hear from you two soon: Katelyn Birmington and Dirani Selmana. You two are absolutely hilarious! And, of course, W. Bymeeh and Rena Sheilds. If you haven't read a fic by either of them, do so now! Well, after you read this fic of course and send me -feedback-! You have no idea how much feedback affects a writer's ability. If a writer isn't motivated, she (or he...) won't write because s/he feels no cares...I know, I've been there before. And thank you very much, I don't want to go back. ACK! I've been writing too much AN! Gomen, gomen! Please don't be mad! Well, anyway, in this fic, the following people are 13: Makoto, Minako, and Unazaki. Now read the below so you know what I'm talking about when I say "gomen", "oniisan", and "aneue"! ~Domo arigatou - thank you very much ~Arigatou - thank you ~Gomen - sorry ~Gomen nasai - very sorry ~Nani - what? ~Ecchi - indecent ~Oniisan - older brother ~Aneue - older sister ~Imoutochan - little sister ~Aishiteru - I love you ~Iie - no ~Hai - yes ~Minna - everyone ~Ja/Ja ne - see ya later ~Sayonara - goodbye ~Ne - right? ~Konnichiwa - good day/good morning/good afternoon ~-baka - _________-baka means _________-stupid/idiot ~Henshin-yo - Transform into Sailor__________ ~Tsukino Usagi (Usako)- Serena ~Odango Atama - it literally means Dumpling Head, but Meatball Head works fine ~Chiba Mamoru (Mamo-chan) - Darien Sheilds ~Mizuno Ami - Amy Anderson ~Hino Rei - Raye Hino ~Kino Makoto (Mako-chan) - Lita ~Aino Minako - Mina ~Furuhata Motoki - Andrew ~Furuhata Unazaki - Lizzie ~Tuxedo Kamen - Tuxedo Mask ~Reika - Rita Also, anything in aterisks (*blah blah blah*) is what the person's thinking. Anything in the dashes (-blah-) is being emphasized. Disclaimer: Choose one of the following and put it here: a) Sailormoon belongs to people who can draw. I cannot. (b) SM belongs to DiC, Toei Animation, Naoko Takeuchi, and anyone else who took part in this wicked cool series. (c) I, **your name here**, do not own Sailor Moon. However, if anyone is willing to sell it, I have **number between 0.1-4.3** **any currency (I'd use pesos)** and a truck full of **anything except any kind of money**. I use "c". I, Y2Raye, do not own Sailor Moon. However, if anyone is willing to sell it, I have 1.20 pesos and a truck full of television remotes. Hehe. Hellos are at the end. Anywho, get reading!! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Tsukino Usagi stared dejectedly at her math book, Luna prancing about her. You see, Usagi wasn't a very good student and didn't get things like science and history very well, especially math. But her unusually large heart made up for it, in most people's eyes. Everyone except Chiba Mamoru-baka, Hino Rei, and Luna, her cat. "Usagi, get studying!" Luna snapped, seeing her underfoot drifting off into space again. "I don't wanna Luna," she grumbled, placing a comic book over the math book. "I'll call Ami-chan," Luna replied, stepping upon the small table with her front two feet. "It's up to up to you, Usagi." "Oh leave me alone," Usagi pushed the cat off, got up, brushed off her dress, and grabbed a jacket. "I'm going to go see Motoki-kun and Unazaki-san at Crown's. See ya round Luna!" With that, she proceeded to stomp out of the door and out of the house and down to the Crown Game Center. For once she managed to be mad and not trip at the same time. The cold may have had something to do with it, though Usagi doubted it strongly. She turned the corner and slammed straight into somebody. "Gomen! Gomen nasai! I didn't--Mamoru-baka!" In the middle of apologizing, the man she'd run into had begun to laugh. She recognized that chuckle anywhere. "Mamoru-baka, keep your mouth shut and move out of my way!" "Now why would I want to do such a thing, Odango Atama?" Mamoru grinned teasingly. "-Oh-! -Mamoru-baka-!" Usagi roughly shoved him aside and continued down the sidewalk. "A bit touchy today, are we?" in no time the annoying man had caught up with the supposedly hurrying teenager. "Go -away-," Usagi snapped. "Where ya going?" "What's it to you?" "-Somebody- got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning." Just to annoy Usagi, or Odango Atama as he -insisted- upon calling her, he put an arm around her shoulders. Usagi just tossed her head aside and for a brief moment considered trying to escape but Mamoru was just too strong for her. "Now, are you gonna be nice to your dear Mamoru-baka and apologize for being rude?" Mamoru glanced puppy-dog eyes her way but Usagi didn't see it. "Not unless Mamoru-baka decides to apologize for calling me 'Odango Atama.'" "That would be a lost cause because I rather think the name suits you, Odango Atama." This time, struggling was unexpected of Usagi so she took advantage of it and tore off to the Crown's. She didn't stop until she reached the front counter of Crown's and was seated in front of her good friend Furuhata Motoki. "Oh, Motoki-oniisan!" Usagi lamented. "Mamoru-baka is -soooooooo- annoying! First he insults me, then he puts his arm around me to annoy me some more, and -then-, just to get on my nerves some more, he insults me -again-! Can you believe that?!" Motoki just laughed and shook his head. "That Mamoru's somethin', ain't he?" "Oh, hai, hai, -indeed- he is!" Usagi fumed. "I just can't stand the man!" "Oh, come on, Odango Atama, I'm not -that- bad," Mamoru smirked, sitting in the stool next to Usagi. "Why don't you go find some other girl to bug, huh?" Usagi jammed a finger in his face. "You're always so mean to me!" "You're mean back, so we're even." Usagi scowled and stalked off to the Sailor V game, sticking a quarter in the game machine. She sat and played until she was out of money, oblivious to the conversation Mamoru and Motoki were having. "Why do you have to tease Usagi so much, Mamoru-kun?" Motoki asked, getting two Cokes for him and Mamoru. "It's fun!" Mamoru grinned. "You should try it once. The reaction outta her is hilarious!" Motoki arched an eyebrow. "Are you sure there isn't some -other- reason you're teasing her?" Mamoru blushed and stammered, "I-iie, why you would think something like that?" "Because you just went all red when I asked that question. I get it now. Iie means hai and hai means hai, and you're not afraid to admit it. Now, I'm gonna ask you one more time. Is there something other reason you tease poor Tsukino-sama?" *Well, no way outta this, Mamoru,* he thought. *Might as well say hai and get Motoki-kun off your back.* "Hai." "I knew it! You do have feelings for her!" Motoki exclaimed. "Feelings for who?" Usagi asked, claiming a stool two seats away from Mamoru. "No one," Mamoru replied, once again going red. "Tell me! I wanna know!" Usagi begged. Then she felt a little foolish and buried her head in her arms. "Never mind." "Think before you speak, Odango Atama!" Mamoru laughed. "Besides, since when did you become interested in what -I- do?" "Since I knew it made you turn so red!" *Oh man!* Mamoru berated himself. *You're all red! Oh boy, that's a good way to win her over... Wait a sec, 'win her over?' Mamoru, bud, what's the matter with you? What're you thinking, baka?!* "I've gotta go study," Mamoru told Motoki and Usagi, gathering his things. "Ja ne, Motoki-kun. See ya on the cement, Odango Atama!" "-Oh!- -Mamoru-baka!-" Usagi yelled after him. "See what I mean, Motoki-oniisan?" ~*~Saturday Afternoon~*~ "Rei-chan! Give that back!" Usagi chased her friend Hino Rei around the arcade a few times, trying to retrieve a stolen spoon for her ice cream. "It's called will-power Usagi-chan!" Rei replied, hurling herself over a chair, spoon held out in front of her and up in the air as a trophy. "Grrr!" Usagi growled. On her way over the chair she tripped and fell, flat on her face in front of -everyone-. Then she heard that laugh, the vile, evil, amazingly annoying yet addictive laugh which belonged to the one and only Mamoru. "Wayta trip there, Odango Atama!" he grinned. "Wayta to get on my bad side, Mamoru-baka," Usagi retorted. "Um, a little help here?" Mamoru strolled away, not taking a second glance behind him. But soon, his conscience caught up with him. *Man, you really -are- a baka, aren't you? Jeez, go help the girl!* He turned around and offered his hand to the still befallen blond. "Finally," Usagi sighed, graciously accepting the help. She didn't care if it was Mamoru, Motoki, Kino Makoto, or Aino Minako. "Took ya long enough!" "Hey, at least I helped you." "Proves you're not a -total- baka like I thought you were." "Thanks for the compliment, Odango Atama." "-Oh!- Stop calling me that! My name is Tsukino Usagi, -not- Odango Atama!" "Whatever." Just then the two noticed their hands were still linked together. Both turned scarlet and released each other quicker than a cat stepping on a tack (AN: hehe! My cat Arty, yes Arty as in Artemis, did this once! I had to put Neosporin and a Band-Aid on his paw though:( ). Minako and Motoki had been talking and had seen the whole scenario between the two enemies. "We have to get those two together, Motoki-san." "Definitely," Motoki nodded. "My matchmaking skills are a little rusty! I need to get them going again." (AN: Just occured to me that -everyone- uses Minako/Mina and Motoki/Andrew as the two matchmakers. Why don't they just matchmake themselves together, ne?). "Well then, let's get going!" ~*~ Sunday Night ~*~ Motoki, Furuhata Unazaki, Mizuno Ami, Minako, Usagi, Rei, Makoto, and Mamoru were all in the park at around eight o'clock p.m. the next night after the spoon incident. They were having a night picnic mainly because Ami had insisted upon viewing the shower of shooting stars first-hand. Motoki and Mamoru had seperated from the girls because they thought they would have to get into the stupid game of truth-or-dare they were playing. Motoki had completed step one of his matchmaking plan while Minako still had to get Usagi to admit she liked Mamoru. "I pick...Usagi-chan," Minako grinned. Ami and Unazaki hadn't joined the game either. Both girls were interested in waiting for the shower of stars instead of playing around. "Truth or dare?" "Er...truth," Usagi said wisely after seeing what kinds of dares Minako would come up with. "Alrighty!" Minako exclaimed, rubbing her hands together expertly. "Besides Tuxedo Kamen, who do you like -like- the most?" "Tuxe..." Usagi fell silent. *I can't say Tuxedo Kamen! Drat the girl!* then another thought popped into her mind. *Say Mamoru! You know you like him!* "Uh..." "C'mon Usagi-chan! Hurry up!" Rei said impatiently. "Some of us want to play too!" "I..." Usagi pursed her lips. "I like..." Usagi thought some more. *Come on, Usagi-chan!* Minako pleaded silently. *Just say it!* "I like...I like..." *I can't get it out!* "I like Mamoru-baka." Every girl's jaw dropped except for Minako's. "E-excuse me?" Makoto stammered. "Did you just say that...that you liked...?" "Hai, Mako-chan," Usagi sighed. Every girl with the exception of Minako reeled backward in shock. "I -knew- it!" Minako grinned at her friend. "You're positive you like Mamoru-san right?" "H-hai," Usagi backed off the blanket she was sitting on. "Why?" "Oh, nothing," Minako shook her head, the grin fading with it. Usagi looked up at the sky. The stars had begun falling from the sky. Minako laid next to her friend and said, "You know, if you make a wish on a shooting star they say it'll come true." "Do you think so?" Usagi glanced at her friend. "Hai," Minako nodded. *Then in that case,* Usagi thought, *I wish that Mamoru would fall in love with me...* At the same time, Mamoru and Motoki had laid down on the grass. Motoki told Mamoru the same thing that Minako had told Usagi, only -slightly- altered. "If you make a wish about the girl you like and picture her at the same time, they say that the wish will come true." "Really?" "Hai." *If that's true,* Mamoru thought, *I wish that Usako would fall in love with me.* ~*~ Wednesday Morning ~*~ "AHHHH!! MOM!!! WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP?!?!" Usagi screamed, jumping out of bed and quickly getting dressed. She pulled on her uniform, brushed her teeth and hair, and ran down the stairs, schoolbag in one hand and bows in the other. She grabbed her lunch and a piece of toast, inhaled the buttered bread, and sprinted out the door for her 50-meter Dash. She didn't even notice Mamoru walking down the street until he stopped her from running into him. He placed his hands around her waist and turned, setting her down on the ground on the opposite side of him. "Gettin' your exercise today, eh Odango Atama?" he called after her, but she was already halfway down the street. He shrugged and realized what he just did. *I just avoided a collision with her!* Wednesday Afternoon.................................................. "Konnichiwa Motoki-oniisan!" Usagi said happily, grinning and taking her normal seat in front of her friend. She would even venture as far as to say that Furuhata Motoki was her best friend. "Having a good day today, Usagi-chan?" he smiled at her from the counter he was wiping. "The usual?" "Hai! A chocolate milkshake with whipped cream and a cherry on top!" "I take it you're having a good day, huh?" "That I am, Motoki-oniisan! I feel so good and I have no idea why! I woke up late this morning so I thought that was a bad omen but...look at this!" She pulled a paper out of her bag and showed it to him. It was a math test. "Look! It's a 82 percent!" "Wow! That's great Usagi-chan!" "And I did all by myself! And it's math too!" "Konnichiwa Motoki-kun! Odango Atama," Mamoru smiled and nodded at the pigtailed blond next to him. "What's that? Another 30?" "Noooooo," Usagi stuck her tongue out. "It's an 82! And I did all by myself! Aren'tcha...no, of course you're not. You hate me." "Hey, I don't hate you," Mamoru said before he could stop himself. "Is that really an 82?" "Hai!" Usagi perked up. She shoved the test paper in his face and grinned. "Aren'tcha proud of me!" "I am," Motoki (enter word for grin or smile here), moving from behind the counter to next to Mamoru so he could poke him in the side if he decided to say some smart-alec remark. "Are you sure you didn't--" Mamoru was cut off by a finger jamming him in the ribs. "Hai," he said, his voice was a bit strained. "I'm proud of you..." "Domo arigatou, Mamoru-san!" Usagi squealed, shoving the paper back in her bag and running to the Sailor V game. Once out of earshot, Mamoru said, "She didn't call me Mamoru-baka!" Motoki just smiled and went behind the counter again. "You want a Coke, right?" Mamoru nodded. "Usagi-chan's a -very- sweet girl once you get to know her. She's even kind to strangers. The girl has -such- a -big- heart and is -so- generous. She puts everyone before her, even that mean Rei girl she always hangs out with..." Motoki sighed. "If I wasn't going out with Reika I'd be going out with Usagi-chan. That's a given." "So you like her too, huh?" Mamoru could barely keep the jealousy out of his voice. "Not as much as -you- apparently. She's like a kid sis to me. She is, behind Unazaki. Listen, what if I gave you her phone number and address and you ask her out on a date, okay?" "Iie!" Mamoru waved his hands back and forth, getting up. "No way, Motoki-san." "Aw, c'mon," Motoki tried to persuade him. "All right then, if you won't ask her out on a date then at least try to be nice to her. By the way, look into her eyes sometime when you're being nice to her. Tell me if you see something." "Okay," Mamoru sighed and put on that (horrible) green jacket of his. "I will. Ja ne, Motoki-san." He looked at the determined fourteen- year-old playing the video game machine and called out, "Ja ne Usagi- chan!" "Ja Mamoru-san!" she replied, then realized he hadn't called her Odango Atama or said "see ya on the pavement" like he usually did. That's when she died (on the video game...duh!). *Maybe my wish is coming true... I hope it is!* ~*~ Saturday Night ~*~ "Alright guys, this isn't funny!" Ami squealed. "I know it's my birthday and all but...please! Take the blindfold off!" "Hey, you need some fun Ami-chan!" Usagi replied. "At least tell me where we're going!" Ami pleaded. "Not yet!" Minako laughed. They all knew where they were headed, save for Ami. They were going to the parlor half of the Crown Game Center and holding a surprise party for the genious girl. It was Unazaki's idea amazingly. "Are we there yet?" Ami asked. Makoto, Minako, Rei, and Usagi couldn't help but laugh. Ami sounded like a little kid being tortured to go on a road trip. And because the others were laughing, Ami joined in. "We're almost there, Ami-chan," Makoto said. "Mako-chan, if you're joking...ugh! Girls, I appreciate this and all but -please- -take- -the- -blindfold- -off-!" "Hold on, hold on," Usagi told her, "in a minute." Minako opened the doors off the Game Center for Usagi and Ami. The two girls led the way to the parlor section of Crown's, where the lights were dimmed considerably. "Keep your eyes closed," Usagi whispered to Ami, taking the blindfold off. Minako, Makoto, and Rei scrambled to different places: behind booths, plants, counters, or tables. Usagi tiptoed to the center of it all, where the lightswitch was. "Are your eyes still closed, Ami-chan?" "Hai! Hai! Now please, can I open them?" Ami tapped her foot impatiently. "One...two...three!" Usagi whispered to the others, flicking on the lightswitch. "-SURPRISE!!!-" Ami gasped as all her friends jumped out from their hiding places. It certainly -did- surprise her. "Oh...oh my...I...I don't know what to say!" "Say arigatou!" Unazaki said. "Ari...arigat...domo arigatou!" It took Ami a few times to get the words out she wanted to say. "My goodness! All of you did this for -me-?" "Hai!" every person, including Unazaki and Motoki, yelled. "Ami-chan, you're our friend!" Motoki exclaimed. Ami was close to tears. No one had ever thrown her a party before...she'd never really had any friends to have a party... "Hai, I suppose you are..." Ami nodded. "Arigatou, minna..." A voice was heard from far off, on the other side of the arcade. "Motoki-kun!" the voice, male, shouted. Usagi recognized that voice immediately. "Motoki-kun, where are you?" *Hm...what to call him? Baka? San? Let's stick to san today...* Usagi thought. "Mamoru-san! We're over here!" *Whoa,* thought Ami, *Usagi-chan? Calling Mamoru-san over to -us-? What's going on?* "Hey, Odango Atama," Mamoru grinned crookedly and approached the group. "Oooh. A party? And -I- wasn't invited? Me, Chiba Mamoru, your best friend?" he joked. "Mind if I crash?" "If you must," Usagi sighed. "In that case I will," Mamoru took a seat near Motoki. "Ami-chan, do you want to open presents first or have cake and ice cream?" Usagi asked. *And here it comes. I know what he's going to say, 'Hey guys, did you bring an extra gallon of ice cream and an extra cake for Odango Atama?' The guy is -such- a baka.* "Hey guys, did you bring an extra gallon of ice cream and an extra cake for Odango Atama?" Mamoru asked cruelly. "And just for that, you baka, you're not going to get any of the delicious cake that Mako-chan baked. And you're not getting any ice cream either," Usagi stuck her tongue out at Mamoru. *Did I call it or what?* The girls and Motoki ate ice cream and cake in front of Mamoru and Usagi stuck to her promise about no goodies for him since he was being so mean. Then it was time for presents. Ami got the next higher-up level of calculus book and a lot of gift certificates. "Girl talk, guys," Unazaki said, shooing the boys to the other side of Crown's. "If you two want to leave, that's fine with us. If you want to stay, that's okay too. Ja Motoki-oniisan, ja Mamoru-san." "So, what's up minna-chan?" Unazaki sat down between Rei and Makoto. "Mako-chan, have you seen any more guys that look like your old boooOOOOOOoooooyfriend?" Makoto turned a brillant red and sighed, "Iie." "Does anyone seem to think that Mamoru-san gets cuter by the day?" Minako asked, smirking. "Hai," Usagi murmured watching Motoki and Mamoru talk. "What was that, Usagi-chan? I don't think he heard you," Rei teased her. "Shut up Rei-chan!" Usagi cheeks stained scarlet for a few seconds and finally burst out laughing. "But, I mean, really. He -does- get cuter by the day." "Is it me or does that little rabbit over there get more adorable by the minute?" Mamoru asked his friend, glancing ever so often at Usagi. "I wouldn't know," Motoki shrugged. "I'm not the one who's gone head over heels for her." Mamoru gave his best friend a look that clearly read, "Are you serious?" and rolled his eyes. "You need to get a life, Motoki-kun." "Hey," Motoki held up his hands. "You said it yourself. You want to say one word to her: aishiteru." "Iie!" Mamoru shook his head. "I know for a fact that--" Motoki stopped himself. "Never mind." "Nani!" Mamoru demanded. "Well, I know for a fact that Usagi-chan likes you," Motoki sighed. "But don't say anything about it to her, Chiba Mamoru, or I will slap the taste outta your mouth, got that?" "Hai," Mamoru nodded. "She really likes me though?" "Uh-huh," Motoki glanced over at the group of girls, who were now giggling. He saw Usagi turn around and glance at Mamoru. She met Mamoru's eyes and they both turned red as tomatoes. "Motoki-oniisan!" Unazaki called out, getting up. She dashed over to her brother. "I'm tired. Can we go home?" "What are you talking about, Una-imoutochan?" Motoki replied. "I said, 'I'm tired. Can we go home now?' I'm serious. I can't stay up any longer," Unazaki was impatient. "Look at the time! It's almost eleven!" "Oh jeez!" Motoki slapped a hand to his forehead. "I promised Mom we'd be home by ten-thirty! Ecchi, Furuhata Unazaki! Why didn't you say anything?!" "I did! About twenty minutes ago. You and Chiba-san were too busy talking guy gossip to notice. Even ask Mako-chan or Usagi-chan! Hey, Mako-chan, Usagi-chan! Didn't I tell Motoki-oniisan that we had to go home about twenty minutes ago?" "Hai!" both girls yelled back. "See, Motoki-oniisan, you baka? I did remind you." Motoki sighed. "Mamoru-kun, you wouldn't mind locking up for me tonight, would you? I'd ask one of the girls but I really don't trust them as well as you." Unazaki smacked her older brother upside the head and said, "Move it! I don't want to be in any more trouble than I already am!" "I'm going, I'm going!" Motoki tossed a set of keys at his best friend and took a pair of his own. "You'll be in deep trouble tomorrow if this place is left unlock. Ja ne Mamoru-kun!" "Ja ne, Motoki-kun. Sayonara, Furuhata-sama," Mamoru gave a little wave. "Call me Unazaki-chan, please," Unzaki told him. "Then you can call me Mamoru-san instead of Chiba-san," Mamoru told her. "Ja ne girls!" Motoki called. "Ja Motoki-san!" they yelled after the two. "Sayonara minna-chan!" Unzaki called and got a "sayonara Unazaki-chan" back. "Iie!" Minako groaned. "I promised my mom I'd be home by eleven. Gomen, minna-chan, but I have to get moving. I didn't even notice the time until Unazaki-chan said something. Gomen nasai, Ami-chan, minna-chan." Makoto caught on as Minako was halfway to the door. "I have a really early cooking class tomorrow so I have to go. Gomen minna-chan!" She got up and left. "Guess it's just the original three," Usagi laughed. "Gomen nasai, Ami-chan and Usagi-chan. I told Yuuchiro-san that I'd watch his karate thing. It's way passed when I thought the party'd be over," Rei got up. "Ja ne Ami-chan, ja ne Usagi-chan." "Ja ne Rei-chan," Usagi waved. "I hate to leave my own party and not clean up. But, you see, Usagi-chan, I'm only ten chapters ahead in geometry. I have to get at least twenty before I can really relax. Ja, Usagi-chan." "Ja ne Ami-chan," Usagi said, a bit disappointed. "Don't you worry about the mess. I'll clean up." "Arigatou, Usagi-chan," Ami hugged her friend. "You're the best friend a girl could have. Ja ne!" "Yeah, uh-huh," Usagi muttered, once she realized she was all alone in Crown's. Then louder she said, "Some friends they are. Leave me, Tsukino Usagi, to clean up this big mess! All alone! And it wasn't even -my- party!" She began picking up wrapping paper and putting it in a trash bag, still muttering to herself, "That was really mean of minna-chan. Leaving me to clean this up!" "Need some help, Odango Atama?" Mamoru asked, leaning against the counter, some wrapping paper in his hand. "Not from you, thank you very much," Usagi yanked the paper away from him. "Baka. Why don't you go home to your apartment and I'll lock up? I'm very trustworthy." "Nah," Mamoru shook his head. "I'd get in too much trouble. And quit calling me a 'baka'." "Well, that's what you are, isn't it? You live to torment me. That's what my definition of a baka is. Or perhaps you'd like me to call you ecchi? I can call you Mamoru-ecchi. It's not baka." Mamoru slapped a hand to his forehead. "You're impossible to be nice to! I don't know how Motoki-san does it." "I don't know how Motoki-kun is your best friend either. I mean, you have a heart of ice. You're impossible to be nice to also." "Do you want to know -why- I tease you so much?" "Hai, I'd really like to know why you like to make my life so miserable." "I...I -like- you, Usagi-chan." Usagi froze, then slowly turned her head to look at the man who was now crouched next to her. "N...nani? Did you just say that...that you liked me? As in, like -like-?" "Hai," Mamoru nodded. "Well, I'm glad you told me," Usagi told him. "Because I -like- you too." "Do you remember last Saturday with the shooting stars?" "Hai." "Well, this is going to sound hilarious to you, but, Motoki-san told me that if I make a wish on a shooting star it'd come true. Wanna know what my wish was?" "Sure." "I wished that you'd fall in love me." "Minako-chan told me the same thing. I wished you'd fall in love with me." "So, did my wish come true? I know your's did." "Hai." Mamoru and Usagi kissed then. Little did they know that outside, Motoki, Minako, and Unazaki were spying on them. All three gasped when their two "missions" locked lips. "Oh my gosh!" Unazaki exclaimed. "Motoki-oniisan, we did it! We got them together! We did it!" "Yeah, we did Una-imoutochan! We did it, Minako-chan!" "We did it, we did it!" Minako danced around, singing that phrase. "We're geniouses!" "And on Ami-chan's birthday," Unazaki sighed. "It took us one week to do that! It should've only taken a couple days. Oh well. Who needs deadlines?" "Hey, it was the perfect opportunity! You don't pass up those kind of things," Minako said. "What matters is, they're finally together," Motoki said. ~*~ Monday After School ~*~ Usagi and Mamoru hadn't told anybody what had happened on Saturday or what had happened on Sunday, either. (AN: Just so you know, Sunday they went out on a date. Not what -some- people think, you hentai-baka!) They'd decided to meet at Crown's on Monday and -then- tell them that they were, most definitely, an item. "Usagi-chan," Makoto said, "gomen about leaving you all alone on Saturday." "Mako-chan, you've said that about a million times already! Don't worry about it! I had help," Usagi left it at that. "Now, no more questions or anything about the weekend, got it?" The group entered Crown's and took a seat at the booths, except for Usagi. She took a seat at the counter, next to Mamoru. Motoki had been intergating his best friend for a while now, but couldn't get any clear answers from him. "Odango Atama, tell Motoki-san to leave me alone about the weekend," Mamoru asked her. "He won't listen to me." "Motoki-kun, leave poor Mamoru-san alone," Usagi berated Motoki. "You'll know soon enough about Saturday and Sunday. Don't worry." Mamoru put his arm around his girlfriend's shoulders. "Should we tell them now?" "Only if you want to," Usagi smiled at him and laid her head on his shoulder. "Okay, would somebody please tell me what's going on with those two? On Saturday they couldn't stand each other. Now they think they're the only two people on Earth that matter!" Rei fumed. "I'm getting some answers if it kills me." "Oh, leave her alone Rei-chan," Minako rolled her eyes. "It doesn't matter if they're fighting or they're happy together. All that matters is if Usagi-chan is happy. And we all want what's best for her, right?" "Hai!" Makoto, Ami, and Rei said, nodding. "But we all want answers too," Makoto said. "Oh Mako-chan, not you too?" Minako asked, a hint of exasperation in her voice. Makoto laughed nervously and sat back in her seat. "Well, uh, I would like to know what's going on." "Isn't it obvious?" Minako practically screamed. "Minako-chan, keep your voice down," Usagi told her friend, Mamoru's arm still wrapped around her shoulders. "You're making a scene. Besides, there's no need to yell. Motoki-oniisan! Come on over here!" Motoki obediently walked over to his friends, girls and boy. "Hai, Usagi-chan?" "You all want answers, so we're going to give them," Usagi spoke to everyone. "First off, Mamo-chan and I are boyfriend and girlfriend..." And it went on like that for a while. Mamoru and his Usagi were interogated worse than they thought. They practically lived Saturday and Sunday once more, explaining it so thoroughly. "Well, it's getting late," Usagi said to everyone. "I've gotta go home or else I'll hear it worse than ever from my mom. Ja ne, minna!" "Ja ne, Usagi-chan!" everyone except Mamoru said. He told her, "Ja ne, Usako." *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* So??
